  1. Hi sidd.ikram.  Thanks for the good luck wish.  The US Embassy Officer gave me a small white slip and said that due to problem in their system, they need  2-3 days more to process my visa and I can collect it at Empost.

    The process started:

1)Security Gate- ask for DS-160 (2 pages) and original passport

2)Security scan all personal and documents you have - no mobile (leave at the guard if you have)

3)Security will give you token number

4)Wait for your number in corresponding window to submit your documents

    5)Submit documents :

         -DS-160

         -passport - original & 1 photocopy

-birth certificate - original & photocopy

-police clearance _Dubai & from your home country - original

-Certificate of eligibility to get married (Certificate of No marriage which ever you have)

        - Death Certificate of my Late Husband

-photo -2 pieces (US visa size)

        - I-134 (Affidavit of Support) with ITR, 1040, pay slips, etc.

        -Medical (brown envelope with CD)

       -Receipt of payment for visa

    6)Wait for biometrics

    7)Interview with Embassy Officer

    -what is your name?

-how do you spell your middle name?

-how did you met your fiance?

-how did you start dating and when?

    -did he come to Dubai?

-how long did he stay in Dubai?

    -Was he married before?

-When did he get married with his first wife?

    -Does he have any children?

-Did he file for fiancee visa previously?

-Did she get married with the previous fiancee?

    -Where is she from?

    -Where is she now?

    -Why they didn't get married?

    -Are you married before?

-Do you have any children, and how many & are they in Dubai?

-When did you arrive in Dubai?

-What do you do in Dubai?

    -When did you start dating?

-What do you plan to do when you arrive in US?

-Show me skype chat proof (she asked me to insert the folder in the window and checked the photos and screenshots)

And she said, Everything is ok  but due to problem in system right now, we need 2-3 days more time to process your visa.  We will send you an email and you can collect your visa & passport at Empost.

Good luck to all of us and wish you all the best on your interview  ☺️

Hi Joang, also bring the confirmation letter from US Embassy , payment confirmation and proof of relationship like photos, Skype messages, screenshots, etc.

  2. @kokokrunch Hi, did you checked your CEAC status if it's READY ?  If it's not ready yet, then maybe this is the reason why they sent this to you. Coz they will send only the packet 3 when your status is READY.  Even if you booked your appointment, you need to wait for your packet 3.  You can reschedule your appointment prior to the appointment date you set before (you need to calculate how much longer they will send) and make sure that packet 3 was received by your Petitioner or you by EMAIL.  Always check your email and petitioner's email.  Sender is ABUDHABI IV.

In my case, as soon as I saw CEAC status is READY, I asked my Petitioner-Fiance to email USEM and attached the screenshot of READY status with the CASE NO.  Next day, we received our packet 3 which was sent to us since 11 January (7 months passed). Not sure if my Fiance unintentionally deleted coz he's not aware of the AbuDhabi IV.

  3. @T.Yang Hi, we're on the same boat.  My NOA2 expiry was 25 March 2018 but I received packet 3 on 25 July.  As I've read on the site, the CO can automatically extend the validity of NOA2.

    Hey everyone,

I'm having a kind of problem over here. My NOA2 dates say that it's valid till july 26 however, our interview appointment is not due till August 1? So i'm not to sure if i should email the embassy to extend it? Has anyone ever had this problem?

You're fine. The expiration should be auto-extended by the embassy as soon as you took action on your case. If you had done nothing, yes it would expire but the embassy understands interview dates sometimes aren't available, medical scheduling and all takes time, and some aren't done  until after the NOA2's expiration and all.

    Hope this helps☺️

  4. @Ben & Jela, You can fill-up DS-160 BUT do not submit yet.  Just SAVE it, so by the time you get ready status, you saved time.  always check your status on CEAC tracker (from Approved to READY) &  while waiting, prepare all your documents that takes time to request like police clearance from home country & other countries you stayed for 6 months or more, CENOMAR, birth certificates, proof of relationship, Affidavit of Support with proof, etc.

When case-READY, then create K1 account (immigrant visa).

Upon receipt of packet 3, submit DS-160 (non immigrant visa), For immigrant visa (K1-green website) choose your delivery/pick up of visa, pay by credit card, then you can schedule appointment.  Hope this helps 😊

  5. Hi, if you will follow the standard procedure, you need to wait for packet 3.

But in my case, we did not received the email sent by USEM dated 11 January.  So while waiting for packet 3 and I've seen the CEAC status-READY on 7 May, VJ online friend advised me to fill-up DS-160 and create account for K1 visa.  Which helped a lot coz only 19 July after several emails, we received response that it was sent on 11 January and requested to resend the email with packet 3 (received on 25 July)😊

  6. Once you got your Case Number,  Check the status on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx and NVC will forward your file to USEM.  While waiting for packet 3, make sure that your documents, affidavit of support, proof of relationship, etc. are ready.  Then when your CEAC status become - READY,  apply DS-160 (non immigrant visa- purple website),

    then (for interview schedule)

Access ais.usvisa-info.com and create an account

(Remember you need to be on the "green page" for immigrant visas - that's where you schedule the K1 interviews)

Enter your case number and DS 160 number

Choose where you want to receive/pick up visa

Proceeed to payment screen (choose credit card for immediate access to booking system)

    Choose date

Save and print confirmation page of your appointment.

You will receive two emails - one confirming the payment, the other with the appointment details.

  7. Hi, it varies coz case to case basis 2-5 months. While waiting for NVC approval, you can prepare your documents which will be required for K-1 visa ( non immigrant visa and immigrant visa -K-1) :

  8. Hi to all,

First, I would like to thank everyone here in VJ.  I did your advise and received an email from USEM AbuDhabi on 19 July that they sent email to my fiance on 11 January 2018.  But he did not find/received any email from them.  Same day I requested to resend the same email as well as yesterday.  Today, my fiance requested for email instructions, medical exam and appointment date for interview schedule.  Coz i already booked an appointment on 13 September without packet 3 instruction and have not done medical exam yet hoping that I will receive it before my schedule. Did we do the right thing? Please advise.
