  1. Finally after paying doc fee to Delbros on March 28th and calling so many times it was sent to the NSO on April 16th with a April 29th interview so hope we have some luck with this by the interview date. Does anyone know if there is a way to check with the NSO to see the status of the docs? When I called the embassy finally they told me they have been having lots of problems with Delbros. We paid a month in advance so we had lots of time before the interview and it still didnt help because Delbros :bonk: is so slow. Congrats to everyone who got approved today. Hope we get the same on the 29th. :innocent:

    Hi ChrisB0707!!!

I'm curious about that doc fee to Delbros that is to be forwarded to NSO...what particular document are we going to pay for them?

Good luck!!! we are still waiting for the NOA2...

    Rodge & Ninfa

basically it's the vital documents that you submit with the application. They are back checked by the NSO to check for authenticity. Birth Certificate and CENOMAR are the most likely ones. If they don't ask you for your CENOMAR, they will probably have it checked during the verification process. We were never asked for a CENOMAR during the interview but had ordered itjust incase (it arrived to late to help).

CENOMAR is CERtificate of NO MARriage

  2. Hi there... I have a stupid question for a stupid mistake...

What happens if the sealed package that came along with the fiancee' visa was opened? I checked around the web but all I could find is the consequences of trying to enter the U.S.

I guess what I need to know is, what should my Fiancee' do and what kind of delay should we expect from this?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read, and hopefuly respond...

    What was inside? ;);)

seriously....bring it back to the embassy before you depart

  3. I need to add this somewhere.

If you are having problems wondering who got what or who didin't get what sometimes all it takes is a mistyped number to screw things up. In Our case, our problem was that delbros never got the request from the USEM because of a mismatched case number, so it was never forwarded to the NSO. after about five weeks of calling the USEM, Delbros and even NSO (on one occasion) Grace made a call to Delbros to check..(I even mentioned to her about the possibility of one of the numbers being mixed up...IE our case number ended in 35 but the number 53 got enered. That meant for all the time I waited here for processing hoping that I was going to go home with my baby...nothing happened.

    SO my lesssons I learned....

FOLLOW UP WITH DELBROS SOONEST as possible after payment

If you haven't done that and you are having problems, contact delbros to make sure their numbers match with your numbers. Once you here that it is going to the NSO then you can start counting down the days (keep fingers crossed)

    Just passing on my lesson

  4. usembassy forwards documents to be verified to NSO every monday.

documents verified by NSO will be forwarded back to usembassy every friday.

    for instance:

those documents (those on AR specifically) sent to NSO last april 14.to ask about our visa status we can now start calling the usembassy at this number 3012000 press 7 then 5184 then press #

note: if you are having a hard time getting thru, as soon as you heard a machine operator saying that the operator is busy... [HIT ZERO (0) AT ONCE so you wont need to dial again

    keeping the faith-Loterly ;)

Good information....I've had lots of practice ;)

  5. Well, after some Phone tag betweenthe Embassy and Delbros here is my story....

I contacted Grace for my normal weekly "Is it Ready?" call and after five weeks, she says, "I'm going to put you in contact with Delbros".

after she transfers me to Delbros I spoke with the man there and he tels me that no USEM request was made....even though Grace has told me that two requests were made (Feb 27 and Mar 11). Calling back the embassy, I repeated what was told me to Grace and she said she would try and contact Delbros. FInally contacting Delbros...again...I got a reply saying that the request would be forwarded to NSO on Monday, APR 21. Hopefully now the situation is resolved. But my goal of flying back with her is not going to happen, I have to leave here on April 21.

So for all you DOC Verification people, MAKE SURE YOU ASK DELBROS when the DOCS will be forwarded to NSO....

  6. it seems to me even if you do everything right there is no guarantee that you will avoid the NSO blackhole. We did all the early stuff that was suggested here. And the embassy did submit a request before the interview. Then again after the interview was completed, and we still wait. I've spoken with another Interviewee and she mentioned to me that it was the same counsellor that had said the same thing about documentation verification. She mentioned that everyone that she spoke that had this counsellor has had thier visa put on hold due to NSO verification

  7. Well, it's been Since March 11th since My Fiancee's interview and I just got off the phone with the embassy..and Still no word :( . I"ve been waiting with her here in Tangub city and was hoping to fly back with her. But it looks like as each day goes she is going to have to make the journey alone. I know she will do fine but I am still worried.

I would like to Contact NSO but the Embassy advised against it saying it could complicate and delay her Verification Longer. Any Suggestions....or is it in God's hands now?

  8. Did you text DELBROS and receive a confirmation text for your doc verification payment? You may also want to call DELBROS to see if they forwarded the info to the US Embassy.

The US Embassy decides who needs their documents verified. It normally takes the Embassy about two weeks to send out a verification after payment. If they select you then the Docs are sent to the NSO through Delbros once a week.

But Beware!! the NSO could take a LONG TIME to Verify the documents...we've been waiting for nearly three weeks since the interview...and we submitted payment back in February. and the Embassy submitted a request two weeks before the interview as well. We are still waiting for NSO verification.

Also the Embassy frowns upon contact with the NSO (they told me so after I already did).

Sorry I just need to vent.

  9. Me and my fiance are awaiting an interview date. I'm nervous, he's calm. I like to quiz him on questions I think might come up, it relaxes me when he answers in what I presume to be the perfect response. Does anyone know of any questions asked at the interview, maybe there are some I haven't thought of.

The actual Counselor Interview is Easy. They will ask you a few basic questions like how long you have been together and maybe some basic Bio questions. The Prescreeners though, can be the tough ones. If you were able to eliminate all the wait time between windows the whole process would probably take an hour.

So Be calm and answer confidently, you should have no problems :)

  10. Hopefully, everthing will go fine for you. My fiance, who is also from Bacolod, interviewed March 6 but now we are held up in a verification issue. Three weeks later we don't have a visa. Hopefully, this will not happen to you but it is possible so you could be in Manila anywhere from a few days to a month or even more. If this is a problem I would return to Bacolod and receive the visa there. Hope you have great success and welcome to USA.

    Ditto

  11. Once the Document verification is completed and the vissa is issued to DELBROS, the latter will send your fiancee a text message that they have the visa and will start delivery in within 2 business days. Thats how I found out that my visa has been issued and ready to be shipped to my province.

    Hang in there.

Thank you for the reply! It helps. I did call the embassy and they said it takes 2 to 6 weeks from when NSO recieves the payment to the actual Verification. Right now it is still pending at the embassy. I just wonder when the two to six weeks starts. According to Delbros it was Forwarded to NSO on Feb 11. Her Interview was March 11 and the hold up was the payment of the Doc fee...so now I just wonder when it starts...February or March.

Well, News from the embassy....NSO has had Documentation to Verify since February, but we are still waiting....Hope it's soon...my vacation time is running out :P

  12. I paid the Delbros fee for document verification as soon as i got my packet 4 (about 3 weeks from interview date) at the Metrobank branch nearest my place. Then sent a text msg in the format that is found in their website right after i did but i kept getting invalid entry so I had my husband (USC) send them the text msg and it went through after several tries.

You can call this number to follow up the payment 339-2761...i don't know the local number but a girl named Allen seemed to be the one in charge with the document verification payments.

We paid February 4th NSO got it on the 11th, and we had our interview on March 11th....and we still had to go to Window 37. As of today, the embassy is still holding the Visa

  14. OK, My Apologies to Delbros

They recieved the payment on February 4 and forwarded on to NSO on February 11.

But now that NSO has it and the Visa is still at the embassy waiting for verification, How long do I have to wait for delivery? Do I call NSO (if that will help) Call the embassy? Help, I'm confused

  15. Hi all, Just thought I'd share this..

you know those PDF files that you type all your info in and then can't save them? Well I discovered this little program that will allow you to modify PDF files and save them. It might help with all the documents that need to be filled out. It's Called PDFill editior, and it only cost $20 to register and use. But can be a real time saver on those documents that don't have a save feature built in.

    The website is http://www.pdfill.com/

    Hope it helps :)

  16. Hey VJers,

I just wanna say thank you to all of you who posted several topics in here. Those helped me a lot in my preparations. I had our interview last March 11 for the K1/K2 visa and we got approved! Here is the story:

March 10 at 11:00 am, me and my daughter left our house in Quezon City and checked in at Riviera Mansion, a small hotel but is nice and my daughter enjoyed the bath tub hehehehe. We spent the rest of the day malling then visiting the Malate Church for help and blessing. At 2:00am of March 11, we prepared for our big day and around 3am, we arrived at the embassy. There were already few people waiting, some were taking nap even lol. Around 4:30, we got in the line to enter the embassy grounds, we were number 5 in line! At 6:15 we were instructed to enter gate 2 where our things were passed into the xray machine. At 6:30, we were called to a counter to submit our DS forms, I had to get off the line and get back again coz I forgot to tick some items about having relatives in the US. I was given a que number 7005, then around 7:30, my number flashed into the screen and so me and my daughter went to counter 19 for the pre-screening. The pre-screener got all the pictures I compiled, the affidavit of support, CENOMAR and NBI. Since I had my papers organized, we did not take long in the pre-screener. We were called after 15 mins for the fingerprint scanning, had to be in line twice as the first time, the computer hanged... I had my fingerprint scanned at one try hehehehhee. Around 8:30, my number flashed to proceed to Window 32, the interview with the consul. The consul was very nice...(and handsome at that hehehehe). He opened the original petition and said: "Outstanding!" He did not ask me a lot, just where my fiance is located then he started describing to be the Washington, DC and right there I knew we were approved. He typed something in the computer and then looked at me and told me and my daughter, "you both are approved" and I asked him for visa pick up which he approved and told me in 24-48 hours I will get my visa. I was not instructed to go to Delbros, I paid my doc verification last Feb. 8. I wanted to jump for joy, now its all behind us now and the preparation for the trip to the US is what I will start working on. We were so happy that I took my daughter at the Hobbit's house for dinner hehehehhehe. She loved the place! God is really good, I have asked for our visa on my bday (March 13) and God is so faithful to give it to me. To all Vjers, thank you so much! Keep on praying and He will answer you.

    CONGRATS!!!! :thumbs::thumbs:
