  1. I got this info from the USCIS website about our case.

On October 15, 2008, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.

Why California? We're from Maine, so why not to Vermont?

  2. I use Pingo.com...16cents for mobile and 14cents for landline..you can get free $5 for signing up..Try it..No need to use phone cards..Just register the number you need to use calling P.I..It works for me pretty good!

Ditto to that, that's what we use

  3. What is the world's 3rd largest English-speaking nation, next to the USA and the UK? The Philippines.

    I would think India's the 3rd largest?

Philippines probably by percentage, not by number of people ;)

  4. It was suggested to me on another thread to have documents verified BEFORE interview but it was very vauge. How, if possible, is this done? What documents need verifying and and where do I send my Sweetie to do this?

    Thank you

    TexPamp

    Hi there,

Yes, you need to get her to Pay Delbros in advance of the interview for them to submit the documents to the NSO. I believe the fee is 650 pesos for it.

Read the guide that the sherrif has posted (and pinned) and your answers will be there

but to quote that part of the guide

"4.5 DOCUMENT VERIFICATION: For a step-by-step guide to the document verification process, [CLICK HERE] (Thx EricC). Per the USE website [CLICK HERE], "Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified. In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the visa issuance process, the U.S. Embassy in Manila strongly encourages applicants in the categories mentioned above to pay the document verification fee prior to their immigrant visa interview. Payment can be made through any Metrobank location. The cost of the document verification is P650 per applicant (with an additional P50 processing fee) [a/o Feb 2008]. For specific instructions on how to pay the document verification fee, please [CLICK HERE]. If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application." In order to locate a Metrobank near you [CLICK HERE]. After the document verification fee is paid, please text Delbos at (0917) 5555-313 and key-in as follows [iN ALL CAPS]: USE/CASE NO./LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME MIDDLENAME/BRANCH NAME/DATE OF DEPOSIT/TIME OF DEPOSIT/AMOUNT DEPOSIT

    For example - USE/MNL123456789/DELA CRUZ, JUAN PABLO SANTOS/MANDAUE CITY/11NOV2007/11:45AM/PHP1300

The beneficiary will receive a confirmation text from Delbros stating, "This is to acknowledge the deposit you made. We confirm your payment to the document verification as required by the US Embassy. Thank you. Delbros delivers!" If the beneficiary texted the format incorrectly, Delbros will send a text message stating, "Incomplete information or Invalid format" in which case the beneficiary is required to re-text Delbros using the correct format. It is further recommended that the beneficiary call Delbros directly at 2-339-2761 to ensure the results of the document verification are sent to the USE prior to the visa interview. In preparation for the visa interview, please bring the original receipt (from Metrobank as back-up) and a copy to give the USE in order to validate the payment of the document verification fee was paid as part of the required documents."

  5. Maymay has a Globe Roaming Sim (it's all she could get) and I want to Contact her during her trip to the US. How do I dial to her number to make sure she gets it and someone in the philippines doesn't get my call. I think I had that issue when she had her globe sim in the phone. I was getting someone else and neither of them seemed to hear me.

I will be needing to contact her in Tokyo and eventually in Washington when she arrives in the states tomorrow.

    Thanks in Advance

  6. Finally, after nearly three weeks of waiting since it was released. I had to call Delbros and they gave me the number of the office that the visa was sent to when it went out for delivery last May 16. We recieved no text message asking for delivery instructions during those two weeks. The only text we got from them was about ten days ago when she texted them about the status of her visa. There was no contact number to arrainge for delivery.

Maymay called the office number and she was told that they would look for it and call back later in the day. She got that call and then arranged for her to get it delivered tomorrow.

    We are almost done!!

  7. If anybody has any other number to get a hold of them it would be very much appreciated

hello kuya jim, yah u should call delbros delivery coz it;s too long wait,, maybe they did not found ate Maymay's house?

    +632) 339 - 2761

or this text hotline, coz this # replied me before

    +63917-6221949

    Hi Primie

Yes I have those numbers and for some reason I can't call them from here. I even tried to Email something but no answer yet.

  8. Has anybody actually called Delbros? Specifically internationally? I am trying to find out why it is taking so long for them to deliver Maymay's VISA. No reply from her texts and I keep getting an "invalid number" or no answer when I call. THIS SUCKS!!!!

If anybody has any other number to get a hold of them it would be very much appreciated

  9. Well, it's been over 2 weeks since the embassy released the Visa to Delbros and we are still waiting for delivery. Looks like another postpponed flight. Provincial Delivery in 5-7 days?..I don't think so :bonk::angry:

Sorry to Vent, it's getting frustrating...I know she'll get it soon but sometimes I wonder

  10. I keep doing the the trucking system of Delbros to know what is going on..... I did get answer last week but today i keep trucking but i can't receive anything.... always CONNECTION HAS TIME OUT....... is there anybody here has the same situation.... i've been doing it for 3 hours now..... i'm so tired of it.......

Best you can really do is keep trying. I know how you feel, sometimes I wonder if they keep in on during the weekends and in the evenings, but I did get an update today.

  11. Jartu63 - try posting the result for your tracking info, so we can compare and maybe figure out what it all means....

i guess everyone should try to post each result so we can have some good data on each case.

AjLitt - just keep on trying cuz it took me a million times just to get the result.

this is what it looks like on the web page
