  1. I petitioned my Mom to come to the US to live with me and her case is currently awaiting for completion and interview date. My questions are what are the documents needed to bring to an interview for parents at the US Embassy in Manila? Also what are the possible questions they may ask during the interview? I am little worried because my mom doesn’t speak much Engish. Any insights are much appreciated. Thanks!!

NVC rejected my mom's police clearance certificate, they said its an invalid documents. We already sent 3 police clearance certificate and still either an invalid or wrong issuing authority. She obtain her police clearance certificate at the local municipality where she resides since she was born Sta. Barbara Pangasinan. Can you help me where she can get a valid and right required documents that NVC needed? Thank you in advance...

You need to submit her NBI clearance

Hi, I submitted everything on January 7th. So far, no news of interview date as of yet. I'm hoping to hear from them soon though. Anyone have an idea on how long the expected wait time is until NVC reviews everything?

It will takes 2-3weeks for NVC to review documents. They will send you confirmation letter with instructions for the next step once they accepted everthing considering if no corrections or missing documents. Good luck!

    Just to update the group.

My PD was 5/22. Website shows no updates at all since case was received, but the lady on the line informed me the I130 was approved yesterday and the notice out in the mail. Said it takes 2 - 3 days for the website to be updated.

I have a question for the group re the 864 EZ. I am prepping it ready to go. I am married, but sponsoring with my income only so am sending 3 yrs worth of my W2's and 3 years of tax transcripts. Does it matter that the tax transcripts will show married filing jointly, or do I need to make my spouse a co sponsor?

I used I-864 as a the sponsor and I-864A for my husband as a household member. We file joint in Tax return

    Hi All,

I applied for my parents who live in India. I-130 is approved and I submitted AOS(I-864) to NVC online. All the information is correct, but I made one simple mistake in I-864 in part 2.a mailing address of Principal Immigrant. I think Principal Immigrant mailing address should be an address of India but I mentioned my USA address in that box since my parents will live here with me.

Is this a big mistake ? NVC will reject my AOS (I-864) ? How can I correct it after it is submitted by me ? or Is it is Ok since mailing address is used for sending documents only ?

I am pretty sure they will notify you for any needed corrections. Good luck

Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my questions.

I won't be able to get my dad's death certificate any soon, do you think it might get my application delayed if I didn't include it? I think it is required at the time of visa application DS-260 if I remember correctly.

My Priority date May 1, 2018. Currently awaiting for case number from NVC. I only submitted copy of my birth certificate and copy of Naturalization certificate with form I-130. Other documents needed during NVC stage.

After you receive the Receipt Notice of Action (I-797) also called NOA1 on this forum, you just wait for 6-7 months from the Priority Date printed on the notice for you to get the Approval Notice of Action called NOA2 on the forum (assuming your petition is for parents or children under 21 of US citizen). You may even get a Request for Evidence (RFE) in case USCIS needs more info in about the same timeframe.

Thank you! 😊 can hardly wait.  i hope mom will be here by Christmas 🤞

  8. USCIS:  Your case was received. Receipt # SRC  Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail. Msg & Data rates may apply. DO NOT REPLY
