  1. Hi! I received an email from the USEM Consular Officer today stating that I need an NBI written letter of explanation in relation to the case file against me in 2014. I was told to bring the copy of that email to NBI.  My interview is on JUNE 7, 2018. I was wondering how long before the NBI Written Letter of explanation is issued? Thank you!

I emailed the embassy in Singapore. They got back in a few hours. I guess each embassy operates differently. I was told that while I certainly could reschedule the interview, they will only get back to my case after they have scheduled all others, which means my new interview date will be at least 3 weeks later, or months later. I decided to pay all the penalties and cancel a trip I had planned before I got the interview date!

You have to call embassy to reschedule interview once it shows READY on CEAC Website...

And what @deafguy72 said ^^^^ Just let them issue you a 221g which will request to bring medicals in...Please don't do a "a no show."

Hi. Thank you for all your help. I just got an email from the embassy that I just need to reschedule my appointment. Since my reason is valid, I just have to let the CO know about that. Furthermore, I called the USEM again and explained my situation, since I already resheceduled, my May 15 schedule was automatically cancelled :)

  3. Here's what I know.

    1. Smoking won't affect your medical exam. A lot if people smoke and still pass their exams. Whether people smoke or not, they may or may not find something in your lungs during the chest xray.

    2. About the drug use, it is important that you disclose that information. You have to be truthful at all times. As far as I know, you maybe required to undergo psych evaluation because of the drug use to determine you're okay mentally. Without this, your medical results won't be released. Hopefully you can get a schedule before your visa interview so that it won't cause you delay. Do not lie about anything.

What I knew was you can contact the embassy on phone about your interview or through email with your Case number letting them know your circumstance.

My strong advice is go to the embassy in person before the scheduled date , you will get an officer working in the embassy to help you .

Oh yes. I've explored all options. I've contacted the embassy 3x.. gave them everything they needed, emailed the embassy, nvc and my lawyer. Even though I have scheduled my interview, I will wait another day. If push comes to shove, I will go to the embassy.

  5. Hi!  I called the USEM again and clarified the procedures with respect to the cancelation of appointment and I was told the same thing. The lady was more clear this time and she told me to re-schedule via the website ustraveldocs. So since they can't cancel it, I logged in on the website and got a new schedule. The slec told me that the results of my PE should be available within 2-3 days so I scheduled my interview a week after that just to be safe.  I hope this helps someone in the future! Thank you! :)

I read other thread with the suggestion to show up for the interview without the medical report so that they will just hand you a 221g slip awaiting for the report to submit. I'm thinking that you would need to mail passport along with the medical report to the embassy via 2go or LBC before they approve & issue you the visa. Well, let's wait for them to give the answers :D

Pls contact the NVC directly and make this change of appointment for your interview , their address is on your email they sent for scheduled your interview,

Just let them know the circumstances beyond your request for change.

Either  you email them or call them directly .

    Wish you good luck .

Hi! Yeah tried the link on the interview letter and it still redirected me to the USEM Manila to cancel the appointment which obviously doesn’t sit well with me. I already emailed my atty and NVC and will update once I get an answer. Thank you!

  7. Hi! I was wondering how you can cancel an NVC Scheduled appointment? (My medical results won't be released til after my PE)

I called up the USEM but since the interview was scheduled by the NVC, they said they don't have an access to cancel my appointment and was advised to do a "no show" instead and then schedule an appointment. I'm not sure that I want to do a no show that's why I would like to know if there is another way of cancelling my appointment? Thank you!

    Question?

How did they know you were charged with "Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Damage to Property" ?

During my Physical Exam, the doctor asked me if I was ever arrested, committed a crime or charged. So I answered truthfully and was required to do the mental evaluation. Accdg to her, it's a USEM requirement to undergo such eval for people who where charged before. Doesn't matter if it was dismissed or not.

Don't know the difference between the two.

You take the appt given to you  .. it is that simple.     Such is life.

You will have to wait to find out on SPUTUM.  After the evaluation and your return to SLEC if they instruct you to complete vaccinations .. you are good.

Just need to be patient ..

You will need to cancel your current appt and reschedule your interview date.

    Scheduling the Interview:
    By Calling (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502.
This service is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers may speak with an English-, Tagalog-, Ilocano-, or Cebuano-speaking operator.
Applicants, agents or petitioners calling from the United States may also use this service by calling (703) 520-2235.

Thanks for the insight. I was finally able to get a hold of someone at SLEC and was told that the schedule is the only one that's available. Fortunately, I passed all the medical tests/procedure which is a total relief since I am a Kidney Transplant recipient and I had a lot of complications  for undergoing dialysis and surgeries before. No need for SPUTUM test. I won't be having vaccines but my results won't be released until after the PE.

What I have read on other article about Psych test related to annulment so I don't know the difference for sure. My wife will have to bring the Court Decision, Certificate of Finality and PSA annotation of marriage contract to St. Luke for her medical exam. I could not believe why is this have to happen like that... Just like you mentioned with the car accident. Hard to believe.....

Yes. I was told to bring the certification of dismissal from the Court Clerk. Definitely didn't see that one coming!

  12. Hi! I just finished my medical exam today and I was referred for a personal evaluation and it was Scheduled on May 29, 2018.. Unfortunately, my interview appointment is going to take a hit because it’s scheduled May 15. I was in a car accident before and was charged for Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Damage to Property and it was dismissed. However, for that reason, the doctor told me she would be requiring me to do a personal evaluation as it is a requirement of US Embassy for people with cases filed against them.

What is the difference between Psych and Personal Eval?

Does is really take weeks to get a schedule?

How do I know that I don’t need to undergo Sputum exams?

I tried calling all the SLEC NUMBERS but none of them as in none of them are pickin up. Are there other numbers I can call besides the ones posted on the website?

Please help because I’ve had enough delays already because of that stupid case :( Thank you!!!
