You are correct, online filing is not allowed from abroad.
1. Filing your Form N-400 online
If you are applying based on your military service, are applying from outside of the U.S., or are applying for a fee waiver or reduced fee, you cannot file your Form N-400 online. Please see section 2 or 3 below for how to file your form by mail.
Thanks for your response, you are right, we are going to send it by mail.
The "Where to file" section doesn't actually mention where to send the form to... Only military has special address, but the rest of us applying based on other qualifying employment do not have clear instructions. Any advice?

Hi everyone,
I will be applying for N-400 Expeditious Naturalization via INA 319(b) as my husband will be employed abroad by an American corporation (publicly traded exclusively on NYSE and incorporated in Delaware). We have gathered most of our evidence and are ready to file the paperwork from abroad, however, I have a few questions concerning filling out/sending the form itself.
Would anyone have any experience with the following?
1. As the physical presence requirement is waived when applying through 319(b), is it necessary to complete Part 9. Time Outside the United States of the N-400? Can I write N/A in that field or am I still required to fill it out?
2. I am already living abroad with my spouse. Do you recommend filing the N-400 by mail or online? In either case, how should biometrics be completed? Would I be notified via mail at my foreign address? I will not be including a US mailing address on the form.
3. I’ve read that the Washington District Office is the preferred office when applying through 319(b). Would you agree with that or what is your experience.I tried searching online, but there is not that much info in regards to this specific procedure.
Thank you for any help!

@starsky Sorry for the late update. I got my 18 months extension letter on 8/20/2018.

I have added you to the tracking table per below. Can I have your filing date so I can put that in? (FYI, I maintain this table for the group and it helps us see how everyone's cases are progressing, there are lots of references to it throughout this thread).
The filing date is 2/28/2018. Thanks for adding me in!

If you are using the case tracking app or the direct uscis.gov website then you may be seeing an "invalid number" or "cannot update at this time" type message. Recommend using the new DHS website (it requires a separate registration). You should find there that you can track your case. Right now I see nothing at the former but when I sign into DHS I do see a status.
Further to the above, are you using the new website to track your case status or did the update you mentioned yesterday happen through the old site?
Exactly, I had to use the new USCIS website. The old one doesnt show any status update, it says "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case."

Hi everyone! First time poster. I filed my I-751 paperwork in late February 2018 at the CSC and haven't seen any updates on the USCIS website until today. Today, this message popped up! I would assume this really means they are reusing my old fingerprints and I wont have to wait to get a biometrics appointment.

Thanks, but military has different rules on where to send the form, etc., so it doesn't help much.
