My status updated today (around 2:30 pm) to: "New Card Is Being Produced - On September 13, 2019, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number _____________, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address." I couldn't believe it! Still can't, not quite yet...it's just so big. Husband and I are going to celebrate tomorrow. Our interview was August 28, 2:30 pm, so exactly 11 business days for the decision (September 2nd was Labor Day so it doesn't count). I'll update again when I receive the letter/card.

Thanks for the update. Mine is still the same.

My status updated this morning (on egov.uscis.gov) to:

"My Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed
Your interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number _____________, was completed, and your case must be reviewed. We will mail you a notice if we make a decision or take further action. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

I googled this for a bit and it doesn't seem like anything to be alarmed about. We did give the officer some updated information - new I-693, 2018 taxes, new employment info, so I think it makes sense that it'll take a bit of time to go through. Still nerve wracking 😆 fingers crossed that everything goes okay.

I also just finished our interview in the Seattle office. I don't think we did well. Due to some family reasons, we haven't had our wedding after we got married. The IO seems surprised about it. We were honest about it. I am worried the IO may deny our application due to this reason.

My status is also "My Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed". Please keep us updated.

I read that too, but our interview letter arrived today and it's for Seattle! Aug 28th (so about a month out from when it was scheduled). We are happy that we won't need to travel farther than that, it's already an hour and a half drive down to there. Also, it'll feel a little less scary to go somewhere we've been before, as that is where I had my biometrics done. 🙂

I applied for my renewal EAD/AP back at the end of April, and only received the receipts recently (about a week ago), so I'd recommend renewing as soon as you're at the 180-day mark. I don't think it hurts anything if you get approved for the GC first. Better to have that in the works just in case your interview takes longer to schedule still. The renewal receipt letter gives you an automatic 180 day extension to your EAD (not AP). Good thing I did mine early, my current EAD expires 08/09/2019 so I would have had to leave my job then if I hadn't filed early enough. Phew!

Good luck in getting your letter soon too! Fingers crossed for you.

I also just received the interview letter.

The only thing that worries me is that they listed the required document includes the petitioner's birth certificate. My petitioner wasn't born in the US, and he hasn't been back for decades. He hasn't even seen his birth certificate himself. It is unlikely he will be able to get this document. I don't get why USCIS care about petitioner's birth certificate if he/she has the US passport. Has anyone had similar experience?

So excited, today my status changed to "My interview was scheduled" !!! I don't know when the interview is for yet, but I'm at the Seattle field office and that has a really long wait--even though we filed in Feb 2018, we estimated it could take as long as November for me to get an interview scheduled--so even knowing it has been scheduled is amazing. There is light at the end of the tunnel now! 😊 Annnnd now begins the process of preparing our interview evidence package. I've been saving things like mail and tickets and photos, so we should be okay in that department; we've known each other since 2008 and lived together since 2011, as I did my degree here in the states, which means we have a fair amount of evidence. Just need to go through it all! (I think it'll actually be kind of fun, we can do a lot of reminiscing. Our 3rd wedding ann will be on August 20, so this feels kind of perfect 😄).

Good luck to everyone still waiting! I'll be sure to update with my interview date & the experience, as I know it can be very helpful to other people still waiting to help estimate wait times/what to expect.

I saw your post, so I also checked my case status. Mine is also "Interview was scheduled". I am also at the Seattle office. I have not received the official letter yet. I will keep everyone posted.

I did call USCIS about twice and on both occasions the customer service was left with no  choice than transferring me to the T2. They told me the two times I’be called that my case is in queue to be scheduled for an interview but when I pressed further to know about the user-defined error as well as when it’s gonna be fixed and where my case was the 2nd IO told its still in the National Benefits Center. So I’m not sure what next now. Did you try checking your case on the DHS website? Mine hasn’t updated there since March 15th when it updated to inform about receipt of my RFIE response.

Mine is also the same. Did you file I-130 and I-485 concurrently? I wonder if concurrent filling will take longer?

That would very likely be the reason. Need to remember they are expediting people’s cases due to the company needing them. In reality employment visas take precedence for same reason. They dont want low paying jobs just filled. Instead showing both some loss to immigrat and employer.

I included the job offer, but rejected with the same exact response.

No. No expedite, just lots of waiting. They got the package with 485/765/131 on 12/28, NOA1 was 1/2, biometrics was 1/31, and the notice we got yesterday was the only contact since biometrics.

Yes, the I-797 showing EAD is appoved. We got a second I-797 for the AP as well.

Looks like USCIS is processing EADs on January filers. Few people are getting approvals now.

Another quick update -- the I-797 for our EAD filing showed up in today's mail, and a second I-797 for the AP was with it!

So clearly AP isn't updating on either of the tracking sites, just EAD. Hopefully the card will arrive this week since it

was approved on the 17th. So -- NOA1 was 1/2/2018, EAD/AP notice date 5/17/2018. Finally getting there.

Do you mean the EAD approval letter?

We were late February filers and we just received our interview notice today! Received combo card last week after requesting to expedite and then interview notice came today. Praise God! Our status has not updated on either of the websites, no app updates, emails or texts, and "user-defined" error is still showing up. For those of you feeling discouraged because of a RFE, we received one at the end of March as well, so it didn't seem to slow our process down too much. I hope many of you will begin receiving notices soon as well!

Congrats. Could you share your experience on the expedite request? What reason did you tell them? Are you employment based or family based?

Same for me except the weird message that still shows up amd days that interview is canceled. It was never scheduled lol. I even got info pass and went to see what the deal was and they said that it was erroneously scheduled too early and they canceled it. They don't even have my file in the field office yet so I guess I am in for a long wait. My office is supposed to be quick but it is not...

@kvito28 Could you share your expedite EAD experience? I just got a rejection on the expedite request for the EAD. They said my case isn't severe enough. I did send them my job offer. What did you tell them on your reason? What documents did you send them?

    Hey folks,

Just checking in after having our interview at New Orleans on Tuesday. Overall a very positive experience. Our appt was 1pm and we were called in right at 1. We had some small chat with our officer as she remembered me as she was the officer that interviewed me for my N400. She checked our ID but didnt ask us to raise our right hand etc, which I remember I had to do back when I was going through everything.

We then quickly ran through the I-485 and I-130.

The officer then asked us to describe how we met and we told our story about meeting through our work. She then asked if we had any additional paperwork in addition to the evidence that we sent with our application packet. We didnt have too much extra. She then told us all looked great and that we should expect the GC in the mail in 10-14 days.

We were back outside in less than 10 mins after we went in. Overall a very smooth and efficient process. It may be worth noting that our situation is slightly different as we have already been married for 2.5 years and have 2 children together, so we are not the typical couple trying to prove our relationship is not fraudulent.

We checked our case status online, however it has not been working since the beginning so I expect we will not know for sure until the card arrives in the mail.

Good luck to all those still waiting! I feel your pain! When I did my AOS 10 years ago i had a super long wait in Dallas.

Congrats. USCIS is stating AOS takes 11 to 20 months to process for New Orleans office. This is no where near accurate. I don't understand how they come up those numbers.

I heard from the lawyer I consulted with, that EAD approvals can take as long as 7 months nowadays.. I know it's hard to keep calm while waiting for this kind of stuff, but hang in there!

That is sad to hear. The EAD is supposed to be used before the green card being approved. There are many people getting the green card before the EAD being processed, which makes it useless.
