    Still nothing.... so frustrating.

    @Tmendoza

we called again and got a lady around 11pm on the Spanish speaking line. She spoke with my husband and said she was going to open an investigation on our case. We asked to speak with a supervisor but the lady who answered the phone said she could request the investigation and to give them up to 6 weeks to look into it... meanwhile, we got correspondence from the investigation that we opened with USCIS and all they said basically was that it was going to take a long time to finish our case... our case is already approved with USCIS!!! Ugh.

I wish they would get this figured out. I emailed the nvc help email also requesting that they look into the case. Hopefully I hear back soon.

Hey @jennita did you ever get your case straightened out? And what Facebook groups????

    Still waiting.

husband tried to call and talk to a supervisor but they said they couldn’t do anything on our case because a packet had come in that needed to be scanned. I’m imagining that it’s the letter my lawyer said he would write. Going to try again this week.

there are Facebook groups called citados al ciudad Juárez on Facebook. Search for those. There are also case closed groups called march case closed, April case closed, May case closed, and June case closed. I run the May and June ones.

I don't want to be discouraging but I did two inquiries and my lawyer did one all came back with the same answer" our records indicate that on....NVC was notified of the approval.  Please contact NVC at..."

Try to get NVC to directly request it from USCIS. An NVC supervisor can do that. Give them waiver number and the dates was received and approved.

Hopefully something will come through soon.

That’s why we sent an email request to the nvc with our approval letter. I’m going to try and call to get a supervisor involved. I just can’t believe I haven’t even gotten a receipt email from nvc for contacting their help email.

Do you have any updates? I have done 2 inquiries with USCIS, they say they sent it, NVC says they don't have it. I reached out to congressman and they did a formal inquiry with NVC and today NVC told me they sent a request to USCIS for it. I hope this will fix the problem, I really don;t know what else to do.

My husband spoke with the person who is in charge of mailing the packets to nvc. They said it was sent on 2/14 and that the nvc either hasn’t gotten to it yet or they missed it. They are opening a request for us as of 5/24 that still says it hasn’t been assigned for processing. My understanding is that they will send another copy and it will take up to 90 days to arrive again. And in that time we can’t submit any other inquiries with USCIS. I’m kind of lost on what’s happening but my husband seemed re-assured for the first time. I still haven’t heard anything from nvc after I sent them the email they suggested I send.

He doesn't have to go through the whole process again. Call NVC and ask for a suoervisor to get your case. Supervisor a can directly request the approval from USCIS.

Congressman can do an inquiry in the case, but they usually respond better to them.

Okay. Yesterday NVC told us to send in that email. So I’m hoping that it will go to a supervisor. I’m planning to call next week to see what’s going on.

Yes they sent it to a supervisor once I told them my waiver was approved and sent to NVC on 2/16/2018. It's been two months since my documents were sent to NVC. I have mailed them a copy, they have it,  but they want it directly from USCIS,  so won't close the case. I don't know what else to do.  Emailed the ombudsmen, 3 USCIS requests, called NVC every week. Lawyer says to wait until the 6 weeks are up then go to the congressman if not resolved.

See, we’ve already been through the full 90 days that USCIS told us we had to wait. Now my husband has called USCIS and they’ve said it was sent and that they won’t send another copy because they sent everything they had.

What can your congressman do? I’ve read something about that but it seems a little weird. Like do you write him a letter and hope he tells them to just accept it?

Im getting worried that we’re going to have to go through the whole i601a process again and I’m honestly just really mad. We were done and now all of our information is gone.

I am in the same boat. USCIS says sent it in February, NVC says they never received it. Called USCIS twice, we are waiting on our 3rd service request, and case has been  with a supervisor at NVC  for over 4 weeks now. I am at a loss ...

Wow... so did you ask for a supervisor at NVC? They told us to email our approval letter to asknvc@state.gov. I’m assuming that’s the service email.

  8. I'm starting to get worried that something is wrong.

We received our i601a approval in the mail on 2/12/2018. Our case status has never updated on the USCIS website like it did for our i-130. Our i-130 shows that our petition was approved and that it was sent to NVC. i601a is still showing that they received the fingerprint fee in October... Does anyone know what their USCIS page shows and how soon it updated?

NVC is waiting for our approval to finish processing our case and won't close it until we get it.....

Has anyone had this happen? I'm getting really nervous because I can't find any answers....

I think they are going to want the one directly from USCIS but you can call to confirm. Sorry, this happened to you.

They said that it has to be the packet from USCIS. USCIS told us that it takes up to 90 days for them to receive the packet. We are at 86 days. So next Thursday I am going to call nvc and make sure they have it. If they don’t I have to call USCIS again and find out what happened.

But does the letter says to bring it to the interview with you?

No, it says they haven’t gotten the decision from uscis yet but once they do they will schedule interview. I have my approval letter. I’m going to call and see what’s up. I sent to my lawyer too.

Yeah, thats really sucks , but hopefully will be done soon. But what is that i601 for ?

    It’s a pardon.

We received a checklist for a police cert as well but when I called NVC they said our case was complete and to just take the police cert to the interview. We just received our interview date yesterday. You shouldn't be concerned but you may want to call NVC just to make sure.

Yeah. They told us our case was perfect but required us to send in the police certificate before an interview would be scheduled.

Now, I’ve sent that in and it was scanned in on 5/3 and today I get an email for i601a approval...

That sucks, I also got a checklist but my case was completed on the 9th. I have to bring the w2 from my cosponsor to the interview. I hope that checklist doesn’t delay my case for an interview date

We already submitted the police cert and it’s been scanned in. They had told us that was the only thing they needed and now they’re sending us another checklist for the I-601a... it’s just frustrating. I thought we had it and now they’re saying we’re missing another thing
