  1. Did the USCIS officer tell you about the expected timeframe? We were told to expect results in 24-48 hours after the interview.
  2. We want to thank everyone on this thread for sharing their experiences, insights and updates on their case status. They have all been extremely helpful in preparing us for this journey. We are praying that everyone will receive their interview notices and Green Card soon.
  3. Our case status changed to “New card is being produced” today Interview date: October 22, 2019 at USCIS, 26 Federal Plaza Medical Exam: October 11, 2019 Questions during the interview were pretty straightforward. To God be the glory! We will pray that everyone will get their updates and GCs soon too.
  4. @JeffandNadine She can keep the prepaid sim active by maintaining an outstanding load balance of PHP 100 or PHP 150 if she really wants to keep that number. That Globe sim can still receive SMS for free though sending SMS and making or receiving calls will incur hefty charges. She can download the Globe iOS or Android app to check for load balance or add funds in case you don’t have a spare phone for the Philippine sim. I agree with everyone, get a US sim to use here. She can keep that Philippine sim in case she wants to visit the Philippines once she gets her AP card and retain the same number. She will just need to load a certain amount per year to keep the load and roaming active.
  5. @Aviculture1 If it’s a Prepaid account, I believe you should maintain an outstanding load balance of at least PHP 100 or PHP 150 to keep the roaming service activated. You can send SMS to her Philippine number while on roaming service, SMS receiving is FREE. Update: Globe Prepaid Roaming is now automatic! Get connected to a partner network simply by turning on your mobile phone upon arriving abroad. Activation before departure and deactivation upon return to the Philippines are no longer required.
  6. I can’t edit or delete my previous post. I need to add more information. @Aviculture1 Is your fiance on Globe Prepaid or Postpaid? You might find this link useful. Your fiance needs to activate global/international roaming on the Philippine mobile network sim/account if it’s on prepaid; postpaid accounts have automatic roaming service. Do subscribe to a roaming data/SMS package as backup in case there’s no reliable wifi connection at the airport. You will need to load at least PHP 300 on that Philippine sim to activate for example the 299 Roam Supersaver, you can load extra like PHP 500 instead of PHP 300 in case the Roam Supersaver activation fails. As long as roaming was activated, that account (Philippine sim) can send international SMS. Data roaming is to keep in touch via WhatsApp, Viber or Messenger. The Roam Supersaver also provides an option to send you an SMS directly, just make sure your fiance has your complete mobile number with the +1-xxx-xxxxxxx format.
