MXOK11 got a reaction from cinthyaap in USC applying for DACA Recipient
Hi! I was only in MX for 2weeks. stayed at my hometown for 3 days went to cdj on monday, my appt was Thursday. The following Monday was a holiday which delayed my packet but by Tuesday I had it and was on my way back to the US in the evening. I HIGHLY recommend staying at the Holiday Inn, it is the most expensive one in the area but definitely worth it. Many people from the surrounding hotels would constantly complain about where they were staying and many of them actually either changed to the holiday inn or were upset when they couldn't get in because all the rooms were already booked. I would suggest booking for AT LEAST 2 weeks at the holiday inn because it gets filled VERY quickly and your room can get booked before you have a chance to prolong your stay. It happened to a couple we met there. 5hey had only booked for 9 days and unfortunately they were denied and had to provide more documentation. Well when they went to extend their room stay, the hotel told them they couldn't because someone had already booked that room and the hotel should have had at least 24-48 hr notice of an extension. Anyway, I was also brought at a young age, had no criminal activity, received DACA at 16 (before 18) and therefore did not acquire any illegal presence. My interview went very smoothly and I was in and out. I was sooo nervous and was praying the whole time but thank God it all went very well. Just make sure you have EVERY SINGLE DOC you can possibly need. Many people were turned away because they didn't have their most recent tax return or any other little piece of document. I wish you lots of luck!

No at all, I had no illegal presence thanks to DACA and having daca before I was a legal adult. So I did not need a waiver. They did ask to see my daca cards which I gave them ALL. My interview only consisted of like 5 questions and I was out with my approved slip. I did see many others who were being asked a lot more questions and had been interview before I was called up and still there after I was leaving and most of the were being denied unfortunately.

I forgot to mention, as far as how to schedule your interview you simply have to call them. They will ask you for your case number and then you simply select the time that's best for you.

You can try looking at the CDJ reviews on here, http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?trim=no&cty=&cnty=Mexico&page=1&dfilter=5&topic= . Not all reviews mention the medical, but there are plenty that do.
As far as my experience, from my research it really seems that both clinics are roughly the same. Both have similar reviews on Google and Yelp, both have their fair share of positives and negatives, and they're right next to each other, only a 5 minute walk to the consulate. We choose Servicios Medicos de la Frontera simply because it had slightly higher reviews and our experience was good enough. Not amazing, but not bad at all.

Hello, I just had my interview today (Friday)in Ciudad Juarez and was approved. I arrived here on Wednesday and had biometrics and medical appointments set up all on the same day with medical at 6am and biometrics at 3:00 pm. You can do it all on the same day but you’re also risking if something does not go well during your medical exam which I would suggest scheduling each in different days. When I was picking up my medical results they did say that they had had some issues with their machines so results for a few would be available until Monday, 3 days after my scheduled appointment, thank god I was not one of them!
As for the DACA question.. they did ask me about it to which I simply replied “yes”, the officer then just asked to give it to her to which I did.. she took a look at it and then at her computer screen and put it away.. and gave me my green approval slip. I guess since you’re approved you don’t need the work permit, so definitely carry it with you for your appointment.
My lawyer did file a waiver to which I was approved, I was also brought at the age of 6 to the US so I took the original approval letter with a copy of it in case they would ask for it, which they actually did not.
Please get a Mexican police report, that is one of the main things they’ll ask you for, some people are even turned away for not having it better to have it then to be turned away.

MXOK11 got a reaction from J Laredo in USC applying for DACA Recipient
Hello guys!
I just received my immigration appointment in Ciudad Juarez U.S. Consulate which will be in about a month on a thursday. Has anyone gotten an appointment on thursday and scheduled accordingly? I am wanting to go to my home state first and fly out to CJ but am unsure as to how to schedule everything. Also would anyone please give detailed tips and pointers as to where to stay, what to do, what documents to bring etc. My lawyer will be setting up my medical and biometrics in CJ but i want to make sure I know what to check for in any case my lawyer misses something. Also I am currently on DACA and someone here mentioned that one of the questions asked was if the applicant was a DACA recipient...do any of you know why they are asking this? if anyone can give examples of questions asked that would help so much. I really am just a little nervous and want to get as much info and tips as I possibly can and be fully prepared.
Also, I did not file for a waiver at all as I was told I would not need it. I arrived as toddler and never left the country. Received DACA at age 16 and have been working and going to school on my DACA since. Does anyone else have experience with this process? did you have to file for a waiver or no? Will I still have to request a police record from mexico even though I was only there for a very little amount of time as a baby and never since?
I appreciate everyone in advance and pray my process is successful. Thank you!!!
