Alrighty guys, good news on my end. I received my appointment notice on friday! Hope yours are coming soon too!

@sysulin1210 and @Da&Ma maybe we should open up a club! I was just counting the weeks because it seemed oddly long and then i started researching very nervous.
I got my Receipt notice on the 31st of August and i am also still checking the mailbox 10 times a day.
Just wanted to let you guys know that you are not alone.
PS: Da&Ma, High five from one German to another! Halte durch! Wir schaffen das!

@Naes did you book your appointment before you got packet 3 from the embassy or after?

I don't think you get a copy of the contents of the medical packet. What you will most likely get is a copy of DS-3025, Vaccination Document Worksheet, which will come in handy when you AOS. Any vaccinations listed on the worksheet will not be required again in the U.S.
Not intended as a criticism, but I would ask you to consider...
Many of us have already been separated from our loved one for many months as we wind our way through this process. If you have taken medical slots that will not be used, that means a delay for others who will have to wait longer to get an appointment of their own unless you release the appointments you don't need.
You are 100% right! I only scheduled 2 appointments. I haven't thought of what you said before though and i will call them right away on monday to open up one spot for someone else!
I really hope no one will be offended by that. I admit i made a mistake here

That's not likely to happen. Unlike the rest of the process, once the case number has been assigned at NVC, the documentation gets shipped to the embassy quickly. If I remember correctly, it was less than a week between the time my husband's case number was assigned and his case was received in Rio de Janeiro.
I imagine if you tried to book your medical today the next available appointment wouldn't be until several weeks out. Are you sure your medical will be sent directly to the embassy/consulate where your interview will be? My husband was given a sealed envelope with his results and told to bring it to his interview. Every embassy operates differently.
Good luck!!
Thanks.
Yes I already made some random appointments for the next weeks. (Lucky for me that the ladies at the doctor's office are super friendly)
They just said that I should cancel the appointments that I don't need when ever I know.
Oh and yes, they do give me a copy of the medical report but they send all the originals directly to the embassy they told me.

Yes, it's the the same number.
Wow, thanks for the fast reply.
That is good to know!
But if I got that right, the doctor will send it to the embassy. What if my medical stuff gets there before my case arrived from the NVC?

Hey fellow waiting friends,
as the title says, I was wondering if the NVC provided case number is the same as the case number I will get from the us embassy?
The lady at the doctor's office said I will have to bring the case number that I will get from the embassy but all I can find is about the NVC case#.
Just wondering if I can go and do my medical before I heard from the embassy with just my NVC case number to be absolutely prepared.
Thank to all for being such a fantastic community and supporting each other!

To all you guys who have been receiving NOA's already...congrats!
I have a question for you...well, to the guys updating the Excel sheet in the last couple days.
When you say you received your NOA1, does that mean you got a physical letter in the mail? Or did you get a text message? Or something else?
