  1. long story short..my "fiance " was not who he was ...16 yr friendship and 1 yrs relationship down the drain..

    question is

    what do i do now

can i send a letter to USCIS here and the embassy in barbados to alert them of this that cause his b1/b2 visa was cancelled b/c of the k1 visa...so due to the nature of his job ( since they rehired him) he will need to be able to travel to the US again

    how do i this?

I'm sorry for your troubles. Did you and your fiance complete the K-1 process, i.e marry and apply for AOS? If you haven't married, your ex-fiancee will have to return home after 90 days. If you've married and filed AOS, you would have to notify USCIS that the AOS petition is being withdrawn. I'm not sure I understand the last part of your question. Isn't a B1/B2 visa a tourist visa? Why is he using a tourist visa to come to the US for job purposes.? There is not much you can do, no letter to write to convince the consulate to give your fiance another type of visa. He will have to request and be granted another type of visa on his own merits.

    Good luck!

    -P

before getting his K-1 he had a tourist visa...upon gettin his k1 the tourist visa was cancelled...so now he will have to reapply for the tourist visa..in barbados there are so many restrictions b/c u have to show that you own property and have several ties to the country etc etc so that you don't look like you are plannin on leaving and not coming back.

i guess what i am asking is what i can do to make sure this loop is close..we did not get married.so AOS was never filed.

do i have to notify USCIS and the barbados embassy of this

Sorry to hear about this turn in your relationship.

Your timeline shows your fiance entered the country just last week. If you're no longer going to get married, your fiance has 90 days (from his date of entry) to leave the country. As the K1 visa has been used (and therefore has served its purpose), you really won't need to do anything.

As to your fiance's b1/b2 visa, he can reapply for it when he goes back to his home country. I'm sure his employer will provide him with sufficient documents to support a b1 visa especially if his work necessitates coming to the US often.

he came in the country may 4th...and he left on may 10th

  3. we will be May filers...i already have most of the paperwork filled in..just waiting for him to get here and we can start the process...

i think we are just gonna do the EAD and the AOS for now. when he starts working he can do the AP .

now he is trying to convince me to only file the EAD right now and then when he starts working then we do the AOS and the AP since funds are kinda low....i guess..but we will talk about it later :)

  4. I'm going a little bit crazy today. Can't imagine how I'll be tomorrow. 1 day and 11 hours to go until his interview. Every possible scenario is going through my head. I know we have everything we could possibly need, but I'm still so nervous. He is so calm and fine, and is even at a pub right now watching soccer. I'm jealous, I'm the one who needs a drink right now!!! :P

Hehe, really I just want the rest of today and tomorrow to fly by and to be able to write that "woohoo, our visa was approved post!" :D

Okay, I'm going to quit rambling now... :P

    Best wishes to everyone!

    Karoline

    Goodluck on your interview today

  5. I am thinking about getting our mail regarding the immigration process sent to a mail box at mail boxes etc since we are going to be in the process of moving shortly..can i just use the box as our mailing address on the application even though our documentation will have our current address. i would rather keep the mailing box address so that when we move it does notcreate confusion submitting a change of address form

    Mailbox Services

You can get a mailbox with a real street address and 24-hour access* to mail and package deliveries. Additional services include mail forwarding**, fax receiving and the ability to call in and check for your mail and packages. You'll also find most of the postal products and services you need right at your neighborhood The UPS Store or Mail Boxes Etc. location.

  6. Chelben.

Good Luck tomorrow! It's great that you are finally getting to be together again. He'll be so happy flying out of Barbados tomorrow. I was just through there today, I went to St. Lucia for a few days. He planned well...he missed all the World Cup craziness in the airport...Monday was a zoo!

I'll be thinking of you, have a wonderful day.

    Sue

thanks :)...you should see his msn screen name lol..his job gave him a going away dinner yesterday..and he has interviews all next week for jobs...the man is on a mission lol. I just can't wait to see him walking out of the airport.

  7. i have been reading through these appplications i am little confused as to where to send the forms...we live in NY..where would we be filing his AOS,EAD AP forms..we plan on submitting all three applications

OK i just answered my own question lol

    Where to File Everything:

Applicants are required to mail applications to a national mailbox (Chicago) as stated on the form (not your local USCIS office). The only case in which you may file at a local office is for the following locations: Dallas District Office, El Paso District Office, and the Oklahoma City Sub Office. Please read this notice if your local USCIS office is any of these locations.

Be sure to mail the package with return receipt requested / delivery confirmation. Send via USPS.

  8. great news....we got approved

He got to the consulate at 7AM ..his appointment was at 730.....i was crazy busy at work today so that kept me from being nervous. at 10AM he called me as he got in his car..

the CO asked him one question " so how did you meet your fiance" ..i guess the fact that we were friends since high school( from 1991) was enough for him after he explained the story. he is going to pick up his Visa tomorrow could not get it today they had issues with the printing.

he should be coming here in 2-3 weeks...busy tying up some remaining loose ends and selling his car..thank good ness he already has at least 5 prospective buyers

    fffeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww
