  1. Hi,

    So i've read that if you hold a U.S. citizenship or green-card and u work outside of the USA that u pay expat taxes ...
    I went to the tax office here in Belgium and they said i would pay 183 day's of that i worked of taxes to the US ... and also ofc to the belgium country
    Also when working for a american company in belgium that then i would be paying ddouble taxation for ever untill i leave or retire from that company....
    But who can actually tell me that lives outside the U.S. and is a citizen on how this taxation works  ... can you also get tax return from the U.S. ?

    I know that some a lot of jobs in the U.S. pay's more than the same jobs in belgium ...
    Just that healthcare is better here in belgium would make me wanne stay
    But these 2x taxes would not do it for me, get paid lesser than in usa for the same jobs performed {most jobs do get  paid more in USA}
    And be taxed twice ... hmmm , i know they've told me they would never tax you fully twice but i'd like more info since those people in the belgium tax office din't even know about expat taxation for working abroad ...

    ~Thanks in Advance

    Don't forget you will have to pay taxes for the rest of your life in the U.S. if you still hold U.S. citizenship.

    what do you know about this taxation stuff ?
    i went to the tax office place here in belgium and they said something about 183 day's of both taxations and if i would work for a company here and they have a settlement in the U.S that i can be taxed for the whole year in both countries ...

  3. So my life here in USA did not work out so well as i hoped it would !! So i'd like to move back to my country!!
    But .... Now that i have a 5 year old thats born here in the US, i dont know what tho do for her to come with me.
    We've already gotten the passport's and i am citizen of both country's, both belgium and US.
    People been telling me that she can just come with me and she be accepted over there, but i dont think thats true.
    Is there any belgium embassy here in the US that i can call that is related to this Topic ??
    Or do any of you know what i would need tho do for my baby to apply for an app or can she just come and sign her in a townhall over there.

    Thanks in advance !!
