Just filed yesterday, so throwing my hat in the ring with the October filers!
Estimated case completion time: November 2021 (13 months)

If you are applying based on 3 years as a permanent resident after marriage (rather than 5 years as a permanent resident) then yes, you need to upload documents that show the marriage is real (assuming you're doing it online).
It really isn't too hard, and you'll have most of the documents scanned already if you've recently done the ROC. During the interview (which was done completely via a video screen due to covid) I was asked a few questions just confirming that I was still married, and a few details about that, but nothing really probing. I'm assuming USCIS considered me low risk of fraud since they waived interviews for my initial GC and the ROC one.
You had a video interview? Thanks for sharing! I had never heard of that medium being deployed by the USCIS or N-400 interviews

I don't think it's necessary. They know what they are looking for. They will find it.
Thanks!

I don't know if this is acceptable, but my concern would be that it is no longer an accurate copy of the original document.
Thanks for your input

Hi everyone - Just getting ready to submit my online N-400 (3 year rule).
Q. Do you think it is fine to use the highlight function in Adobe to highlight relevant info on the evidence that I will submit (as PDF docs)? As an example, on our joint car insurance, I was thinking of highlighting both our names and our current address... just to make it easier for the IO.
Any recommendations for or against? Thanks!

Do it. Make sure that your new address is identical on both, obviously.
Thanks! Just did the COA online yesterday and am hoping filing the N-400 within a week or so will not cause an issue

To answer your question..I filed my address change late...about 3 years late. I honestly didn't know about the change of address requirement until I was getting ready to file my N400. It didn't affect me as I had no pending application with USCIS at the time I was moving.
The day before I filed my N400 I filed the AR-11 to update them about the new address.
Hi - Just came across this thread. I too did not know that I needed to change my address since I don't have any pending applications. I am considering filing the N-400 and have moved since last year. If I file the change of address AR-11 now and electronically file the N-400 within a week, do you foresee any issues? Thanks!

Well I am so surprised, went yesterday to my biometric appt, woke up this morning to this GREAT NEWS

New Card Is Being Produced
Congrats!!! That's terrific! What a relief it must be....
I did my biometrics on Monday and have been checking both the old site (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do), which has had no information about my case since the beginning and the new site (https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/), which has been stuck on "Case received" status for an eternity. Hope to see some movement soon!

So today I also received Bio retaken notification since I received the waiver in Feb. Appt is on May 28.
However when I checked my case status online, it still shows "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" as of February 28.
Not sure why this happens but I'll still go take my bio to be safe.
Anyone knows the reason?
Also, my appt is at 9:00 AM in the morning while seems like the facility opens at 8:00 AM.
Will it be OK if I walk-in by 8:00 to get it done? Anyone know how long does the bio taking process? Don't want to take a half day off from work....

Just wanted to let you know that I was in a similar situation, i.e., received biometrics waiver in late Feb, then received a new biometrics appointment letter this past Friday for a May 30th appointment, which I would have had to re-schedule since we'll be out of the country... I thought I would try my luck with a walk-in appointment yesterday. I showed up at the ASC 40 minutes prior to closing time. The woman at the check-in was super nice. I just handed her my appointment letter and ID and she issued me a ticket number. I went there prepared with a copy of our ticketed airline reservations, etc., but she didn't ask me a thing and since there was no one there, I was called right away, and was out of there in less than 10 minutes.

I've read that others have been successful with walk-ins, but can also be dependent on your local office. Doesnt hurt to try at least
True... I will definitely try next week and hope for the best

Hi everybody...just an update:
Today I also received a Biometrics Appointment Letter after almost 3 months of receiving the reuse notification. It is dated 5/10/2019 and the appointment is for May 31 2019. I will try to do a walk in to see if that saves me a couple weeks on this eternal waiting.
I , too, received a Biometrics appointment yesterday after getting the earlier waiver in late February. Mine is also dated 05/10/2019. My appointment is for May 30th, and as it happens, I will be out of the country. I am going to try and do a walk-in next week. Has anyone had any luck with a walk-in appointment prior to the actual Biometrics appointment?

After I got informed that I'll have to go in for biometrics, today the new website changed my status for the very first time!
Unfortunately, I am now also getting an RFE on top of the biometrics. From what I've read here lately it sounds like I'll have to put together a whole new package, as I had sent over everything they usually request and more. So fingers crossed they are actually just asking for something simple 🤨
How many of the RFE people here already got approved?
How did you know you are getting an RFE? Did you get a letter in the mail or did the new website update reflect this? I hope it's something minor that they need!

Just checked mine this morning and my status has been updated on the USCIS portal - it went from "Case Received" to "New Card Is Being Produced"!
Mailed 04/28/2018
Received at CSC 05/02/2018
Extension (18-month) 06/18/2018
Biometrics 03/13/2019
New Card Is Being Produced 05/16/2019
Can't wait to receive my new card - I HATE carrying around this paper when I cross the Canada-US border (especially since CBP doesn't even know what it means)! #thankful #grateful #newcard
👏Congrats, eaja!
Our dates are very similar. Mine was received at CSC on 05/02/18 as well. I got the Biometrics waiver in late Feb and it's been radio silence since then - no transfer, no surprise new biometrics appointment (as some who had waivers earlier received subsequently), no nothing. Just checked my status, and it's status quo - "case received..." Your approval is good news!

Yes, at the bottom of the letter there are instructions or reschedule. Plus, some people just walked in after receiving the letter before their appointment and got it done
Thanks!

Yes, some people get invited to a Biometrics appointment even though we all got waived.
The appointment is in 2 weeks 5/23. So at least it's moving.
Thanks, JasVW19 - good to know!
The reason I ask is that we're leaving in 2 weeks time for a 16 day vacation, and I am concerned about missing the Biometrics appointment in case I get a letter with an appointment that overlaps with our vacation. Is there an option in the letter to re-schedule the appointment?

Quick update: I'll have to go in for Biometrics.
For the people that had to redo their Biometrics even though they got waved last year, did the process move fast for you after that appointment?
So, you have to go in for Biometrics even though you got a waiver letter earlier?? Out of curiosity, how far out is your Biometrics appointment? Thanks for the update!

Informed Delivery just told me that I am getting a letter from USCIS. Not sure yet what it will be, but hopefully the Greencard!!
After not getting any updates since filing (CSC filer - tracker doesn't recognize my case number and new website is still at case received), I am excited regardless of this being a Greencard or a case transfer letter though.
Fingers crossed though!
Fingers crossed for you, JasVW19! Our dates are similar and the old CSC file tracker doesn't work for my case number either (the new one is stuck at "case received"), so I'll keep an eye on that informed delivery as well! Thanks for the update!

Ya thanks! I was at least expecting an interview or an RFE (Did not include W2s with 1040s) or something before approved. But I guess we sent an over abundance of proof that there wasn’t a question.
I know people like to know if we did anything to speed it up but we did nothing.
Good to know! I am sure there are lots of others (including me) in the same boat, i.e., either no information about the case on the old USCIS case status website (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) or no update beyond the "case received" status on the new https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov website.
It's good to know that your case saw positive movement. Hopefully, ours will as well!
