Hello everyone ...I've been reading your comments and questions some months ago....following the posts , the timelines, etc.... And I just created my account just to let you know and give you an idea how far they are now talking about the timeline ... Our wait time has successfully ended ....🎊🎊🎊My husband's case has been approved July 6th, 2018 🎊🎊🎊...and our date was June 29th, 2017... It has been12 months .... This was a emotional moment for us.... I pray for each of you to get the approval notice soon... I know the pain and the struggles of this situation... Keep the faith 🙏

Ours was approved on July 6th also!! Received June 19 2017.

Hi! What facebook group are you in? Maybe we can join to help us with everyone's update. Thanks!

There's a few, I just typed in 601, 601A in the search bar and joined the ones with a higher number of members. There is a "601a English page", "601-a provicional unlawful presence waiver" (mainly spanish), and the one @mommyo2life mentioned.

  3. 601a - Received 19 June 2017

Signed a privacy release for a congressional inquiry 7 May.

They called back on the 11th and they were told they are transferring our case and we should call their office back if we don't get a decision in 20 days.

Yesterday we got notice online the case is transferred and today notice "case was transfered and new office has jurisdiction". I also get a text this morning saying it is in the initial review, whatever that means.

Things are finally moving along! I think I've been having mini anxiety attacks every time we get an update since the congressman's office called. Based off other June cases that were transferred end of april/beginning of may, I think we will have a decision before the end of next week.

  4. A lawyer on Facebook said all 601A waivers will be/are being transferred and centralized in the Nebraska office. Is this true? I didn't see anything on USCIS website. A LOT of people in that FB group have already been notified theirs were transferred.

We have not gotten any updates though. We are still waiting since received June 19, 2017. I did an inquiry about a month ago. My husband plans on calling the lawyer tomorrow to try and have them get some answers.

I'm getting so irritated. My husband has a somewhat common name/s so I can understand a longer background check. But then I saw someone with an even more common name approved in 2 months (Feb to April) so I call BS on that reason.

  5. It's a long and difficult process as we all know. Now, I don't like being a person to complain or talk about how down I'm feeling because 1) I know there are many others worse off than I and 2) I don't want/like people to think I want attention or something.

If our papers were processed at the same rate as (almost) everyone else's we would be done by now and my husband would have his green card. We were kind of counting on that. Without going into a long drawn out sob sorry, circumstances seem to have changed dramatically. Financially, economically. And honestly, if his case was processed in the order received, we would never be in this situation now.

I am so depressed. And today a switch has flipped in me, I really have no hope.

Waiting and waiting, even though he's here with me, is not the same as him being here legally (ie. able to get a job and make money) and worrying if he will somehow get sent away.

I have no money for therapy or, trust me, I would do it. Esp after my psychological evaluation for the i601a waiver at which point he recommended I pursue regular therapy due to past issues.

How have you all dealt with the mental effects this has cause you?

  6. @Mansini77yep, it's the i601a. He's been in the US this whole time.

I decided to submit another inquiry on Friday and just got a response this morning. Same answer:

"The status of this service request is:

Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing."

Our lawyer's not concerned so I guess I'll believe them for now. End of May -11.5 months- I'll be calling everyone if we haven't heard anything.

Ours was received June 2017, fingerprints done early July 2017. I have done 3 inquiries and they say the same thing, that they are behind. I have talked to my lawyer and I guess there really isn't anything we can do, I've seen other people waiting from May/June/July as well. It's a shame... not sure why some take so long and all they say is that they are behind when its not true :(

Makes you wonder how they prioritize cases. Maybe we all got stuck with someone on maternity leave :P. It is somewhat reassuring to know there are others in the same boat. My husband keeps telling me to be patient, and he's the beneficiary!

And @Mbl3 I can only imagine the frustration and anxiety you guys must be feeling.  I am just a little over 4 months of having sent my waiver and I feel frustrated. I hope you guys and everyone waiting beyond a reasonable time hear back soon! Stay strong friends.

Thank you! As long as it gets approved, that's the important thing. I would rather wait a little while longer than have it denied. Of course, a year ago we were planning on him already being back from Juarez by the end of this month. We both can't wait til he can get a good job and we can better our lives :)

  8. Hello! I've been following this topic on here and after seeing how awesomely fast everyone's cases have been processed I'm now confused and concerned.

Without looking at our receipts, our I601a was received late June 2017. Fingerprint fee was received June 22 and biometrics were done in the first half of July 2017.

We have no update! I called USCIS in the middle of January 2018. The rep did a case inquiry (out of normal processing range) for us and the first week of February we got a letter saying they are simply running behind in general and it's nothing to do with his case.

The online case status simply says "fingerprint fee received June 22".

I know the online processing times are BS and not based on reality but a "formula", but seeing people's cases filed in December 2017 already approved..... we're getting really antsy.

I guess I'm just looking for an outlet for my frustration!

Can I/should I call UCSIS again since it's been over 2 months since I last called, and over 9 months since out i601a was received? Is there a special number to contact?

And, yes, we've used a lawyer who's done tons of these and they say all paperwork they receive from USCIS says it takes 6-12months.
