I think the IR5 visa category is suspended until December 31st.

Thank you so much! To expedite your case at the NVC stage, you have to send your request, along with proof, to nvcexpedite@state.gov. The NVC will send the request to the Embassy for a decision. Then the NVC will get back to you with the decision.

Thank you! And congrats to u too! Oh yeah. That’s true! We had the same interview date. And our timeline dates are quite similar in general.. The I-130 sent date and visa received date are just a few days apart.

This is all due to Telegram Group has automated lot of tasks related to removing unwanted and spam users. This way people who are participating are able to join.

Hi. I understand your frustration. I have emailed ustraveldocs a few times regarding my case. In response I only receive an automated message that is sometimes not even related to my question. It's difficult to get a clear response from them. I have also read a few posts that Feb 7 DQs  have gotten interview letters now. I was told that this info can be found in a Telegram group for Mumbai filers. I think that is where you can find most updates about the Embassy in Mumbai.

Thank you so much for clarifying. I was a little confused and worried when I saw that email. 

We received an email today that our interview appointment was cancelled. However, we never had an interview scheduled. I’ve read a few posts about this being common for expedited cases. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I understand you completely. I've been trying to expedite the case for months now. I was finally approved this month. My request was based on medical reasons with proof. Each Embassy is different and accepts different reasons. Some are more lenient than others. Some common reasons are: life or death situations, medical reasons, financial hardship, aging out, etc.. I'd say give it a try if you think you have a valid reason. It's better to try than to not try at all.

I was approved too, but my status is still showing "At NVC". In the email, they said they would send the case file to the Embassy immediately. But the status remains the same.
