Not sure this is really help. But my USCIS shows my case sent to Department of State on August 30th. I called NVC several times, they are confirmed to received my case on Sep 6th.
And it about to be 7 weeks...... I am currently still waiting on NVC to give me Case Number and invoice.....

Just sharing some of my status for anyone in similar boat.

08/14/2018 ~ my.uscis "We approved your case"
08/17/2018 ~ Received mail I-797 (NOA2) "Approval Notice"
08/30/2018 ~ my.uscis "Case Was Sent To The Department of State"
09/06/2018 ~ NVC received. (Confirmed via phone call on 9/07/2018)

We got our I-130 approved from NSC (Nebraska Service Center)
Just got a NOA2 today. Stay Positive, hoping to get the case number soon.

My case is not expedited.
I never called to USCIS and called just once to NVC.
 
I sent No emails, no requests etc.
 
The only thing I did is prepared my I-130 and NVC docs very carefully, following step by step instructions. No extra documents, every document was in a separate yellow folder (I-130) and separate yellow folder on my laptop (for uploading to CEAC website).
