Hello,
I applied for my EAD and my case was received on 29th June. My employer is a California government agency (special districts) and wants to join as early as possible. So they gave me a letter addressing USCIS expedition team to have my EAD expedited (reason: public interest, delayed start date causes a financial loss to the government, a lot of zero-emission projects like electric vehicles fleet expansion will get delayed and will have a negative impact on the environment). I called USCIS to explain that my request is of public interest and received an email the next day with a fax number to send my documents. A day after I sent them, I noticed a status change as "Reviewing your correspondence" and the history says "my expedition request was assigned to an officer and completed on 8/30". Can you please tell me whether they have actually accepted my request or they're still reviewing it? How many days to they typically take to process this?
Thank you
I believe they are reviewing your request. They don't give any processing time for expedited cases, but I have seen people getting responses within 15 days. It's good thing that an officer is working on your case tho. I hope you hear some good news soon!

so, did your online case status change from: card being produced to card mailed to you? or just after card being produced came in the mail?
my update of: card being produced was august 24, i still dont have nothing yet. not even an update or something in the mail
I got an update on August 22nd saying the card is being produced, on August 26th I got the approval notice in the mail. Still don't have the card and the status says "card is being produced".

Hello guys,
I contacted my congresswoman 10 days ago asking her help for the expedited inquiry, and today her assistant forwarded their response to me:
Thank you for your follow-up inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter. These cases have been requested and will be routed for expedited processing. Once these cases are reviewed, your constituent will receive a decision or notice of further action. Due to the extremely high volume of expedite requests for these case types, there are numerous cases involving exigent or humanitarian issues already in the expedite queue, and we are unable to provide a specific timeframe for the expedited review. The strict enforcement of the expedite criteria means that all cases sent for expeditious handling are urgent, and we assure you that these cases will be adjudicated as soon as possible.
Does this email mean they accepted the proofs and my case is on the expedited queue, or it means they will analyze the proofs and decide if I have the right to get my case expedited?
Thanks!

From my experience and receiving 3 of the exact same responses. You are stuck in Background checks which can be short or long. I waited just short of 13 months for approval. There really isn't much to do but wait which is the worst.
Should I just go ahead and send the I-485 and I-765 forms? I'm inside US!

Hello,
We filled the I-130 on May, 17 and still haven't got approved. I sent an inquiry and they sent me a letter saying it is currently pending adjudication and that they had to perform additional reviews on the case. What does that mean exactly? It is being 10 months and we don't know what else to do about it! Thanks!
