So my spouse just received an email from the embassy and it says to allow 15 business days for the visa to be issued... What a headache. Hoping you get an updated status soon!!

Status updated this morning to Administrative Processing and I just checked again and it has updated to Issued. Praise the Lord we're almost there!

    @SMOM

The Dublin Embassy emailed me, saying I was finally Approved(they needed police certs with my middle name on them at the interview) &...

"Within the next 10 working days, you will receive an email from DPD courier via the CSC system informing you when your passport is ready for collection at the location that you selected. "

Ok so I guess another two working days before I should be too concerned. Thanks!

Yes, it was saying no appointment exists when we try to register? We just got the interview email on Friday, and our case status still says "in transit." We're thinking maybe we need to wait a few more days? Also, have you received your visa back yet? Congrats again on your approval :)

Yeah I think once it says "Ready" as your status then you should be able to register

@SMOM How is prep going for your interview? So excited for you, looking forward to hearing your experience at the embassy. My husband's medical is on 9/7, hoping we get an interview date in the next 1-2 weeks.

Sorry I didn't see this before now, work has been insanely busy. In some ways that has helped me to not focus on being nervous about the interview but also has made prepping a little stressful to fit in. I prepared my documents folder for the most part last weekend and am going to check it again tonight. The embassy called me to flag two things about our documents. My police cert did not include my middle name which was an issue because my middle name is on my birth cert so we had to get a new one of those. We also thought my husband (who lives here in Ireland) was under the threshold for filing taxes in the US in 2017 as he would have been as a single person but the threshold changed because we got married. So we have had to file his taxes and get proof that in 2015 when he didn't file that he was under the threshold so wasn't required to file.

So slight panic last week as we tried to figure that all out but I think for the most part we're ready for the interview. Fingers crossed. Hope you get your interview date soon!

You only need the proof of  your sponsor's US status(a copy will be fine)

    Thank you!

So they didn't require you to have a copy of an interview letter for your medical? How long did it take for you to receive the medical results? Thanks!

No, they asked when my interview was and I told them I didn't have a date yet and they were fine with that. I haven't got the results yet, hopefully will be able to get them this week.

    Hello all,

Happy to say we just received our "documentarily qualified" message this morning, and now we start the (long) wait for an interview!

Can any of the Dublin, Ireland applicants tell me if you waited for your interview letter before scheduling your medical? That's what's recommended, but I suppose I'm wondering if getting a medical is time consuming and if there was any trouble completing that before your interview? TIA!

I did my medical a couple weeks ago and only got my interview date last Friday. A friend of mine got the same interview date and time as me, September 11th, and he can't get a medical appointment until the 31st of August which only gives him a week and half to get results before his interview. (He got his interview letter almost a week and half ago) Can't tell you exactly what to do with the information but I guess it is around a 3 week wait for medical so keep that in mind.

So glad to know im not the only one.

I'm almost at a loss here; I legitimately feel like life is at a stand still.

    It's just really depressing.

You're definitely not alone. I think this part is the hardest because its the first waiting period where it feels close enough that you want to start planning/moving/finishing work etc but you can't at all until they give a date. Makes it more frustrating than the USCIS wait for me anyway, because I knew that could be a number of months so wasn't checking every day for it.

Approved today @  Dublin, Ireland.... BUT Pending on that I mail in a new police cert from France and Germany (they didn't have my middle name on them, like my passport does.....which is a pretty annoying bit of bureaucracy).

    CC:14th June, pivot case.

asked question about how we first met eachother,

    my wife's job,

    where she lived,

    our child,

my travels in and out of the US over the years.

where i'd be living in the US.

So make sure the name in your passport is exactly the same on all police certs, is the take home message ;)

Congrats!! Hoping I'll get an interview early September so, I'm in Dublin and have a CC of July 17th so fingers crossed out timeline looks like yours but a month later. Can I ask, is your wife in the US or here in Dublin with you?

cc 7/18, just called and still waiting to be scheduled interview. stockholm embassy sweden.

they told me theyre not scheduling any september interviews until the beginning weeks of august but ive seen many get approved here with similar cc dates as mine so i don't think thats true. everytime you call somebody else tells you something different

I'm the same, Dublin embassy, called NVC today and they said that it hasn't been scheduled yet and my CC was the 16th of July

Sometimes we need to change our plans.  Google "providing evidence of intent to establish domicile" for some ideas.  He can't just say that such a thing does not fit with his "plans".

We do know our plans may need to change, we're not going to put the whole process at risk so close to the end now. We just weren't aware until now that they could require him to have a job already even though we have a joint sponsor. We have googled and from that gather the stuff I mentioned above, just looking into options here to see if anyone else has experienced being asked for this. Ideally just trying to avoid having to move across the world on my own if it isn't necessary for him to move before me.

  11. My husband and I live in Ireland, he is a US citizen but his family moved to Ireland when he was 10. As a result he only has income here in Ireland so we got a joint sponsor. We are now just waiting for our embassy appointment letter. I have heard of someone recently in the Dublin Embassy, despite having a joint sponsor, being told the US citizen (spouse) ALSO had to have either a job secured or a job offer. My husband plans to move when I get my visa, which as you all know is impossible to predict accurately when that will be. This means it is very hard to convince a company to offer you a job if you don't know when you will be able to live there.

We do have a bank account he has kept open in the US since he was like 14, he just renewed his drivers licence on a trip to the US last month and we have a lease on an apartment in the US starting in August.

Has anyone else had this issue/do you think there is anything else we could get that doesn't include a job offer that would help - we'd really like to not have him move before me just so he can commit to a job, as obviously moving away is going to be a tough time and I'd rather not be doing that trip on my own. Appreciate any help!
