Question - hubby's permanent resident card expires on 12/3/09. So counting 90 days backward would put us at Sept 4th. Should I send the paperwork on the 4th or a few days earlier so it'll get there on the 4th? What did everyone else do? Thanks!
I would say not earlier than sept 1. They don't like it outsite the open window

So, exactly what is the NOA1? Is it the letter that extends the Green Card one year?
Does it also set the appointment for the biometrics?

Hi..our 1751 package was sign for on Aug 8 and the check for the fees is showing up as a pending transaction at my bank today. So it should be cleared tonight.
I do have a question. I fail to put a copy of our marriage certificate in the package. I had it listed as one the documents that was included in the package on the cover sheet but some how flat forgot
to put a copy in the package. In my opinion that should not make a difference since clearly the marriage exist for my I30 application to get approved. Do you think I will still get the NOA without any delay?? My husband current GC expires Oct 26 so we have time but it would certain be wonderful if we can just get this part behind us B)

I didn't send my marriage certificat either. It dosn't say anything about that in the instructions.

Hello fellow VJers,
I hope somebody can enlighten me about obtaining a NV driver's license.
I am a new immigrant on IR-1 visa and haven't received my GC yet.
Can anybody tell if I can take the written and driving tests just with my SS card and IR-1 visa on my passport?
I've already asked a DMV representative what documents I would need,
but she has no clue if the IR-1 visa is good enough or I will need my GC.
I appreciate if you can share your experience in NV, especially the Las Vegas area.
You need your green card. Because they need to have the expire date which they will put on your driverslicence.
My driverslicense expires with my green card and I will need to show them my 1 year extension letter from USCIS in other to renew it.

My only reason to not become a US Citizen is because my homecountry dosn't accept dual citizenship.
I would loose my retirement money when this time comes.
If they are changing those rules I will become a US citizen only because I wouldn't have to deal with USCIS anymore.

You might want to research how joining the Army/Navy/Airforce could affect his Danish citizenship. I know that the Germans yank your German citizenship as soon as you join a foreign military, unless you have dual citizenship, so there might be a law on that on the Danish side as well.
Yes I know what you are talking about. Denmark dosn't accept dual citizenship. So we really have something to think about here. Thank you for this information

Can you please add me? I sent mine on August 5. It was delivered on August 10 (accdg to USPS.com). I didn't realize by the way that UPS doesnt send to PO boxes...oh well. I had wanted to get the mail to USCIS quicker.
My GC is expiring on Aug 22--yup...cutting it close.
