It took 5 days to get the letter from them but that was over a weekend.  They mailed it on Feb 21 and I got it Feb 26.  I sent it back overnight on the 27th and I got notified they received it on Feb 28.

WRONG ATTITUDE!!!!   RFEs are good.  It means your petition has been reviewed.  Generally it is about a week to approval after a satisfactory answer.  This is the next best thing to an approval.  Smile.  Generally the questions are an easy fix.  I just got an RFE earlier this week.  It was for additional court paperwork for my fiancée's annulment and proof that we met in the past two years.  Easy peasy.  Just wait for the letter and respond.  Many times it is a simple checkmark that was missed.  Congratulations.  This is actually good news.

Thanks so much! How long did it take to receive the letter? My RFE was mailed March 2nd and now it's March 7th and getting a little worried it got lost.

Hi Everybody!
Well, sadly, RFE came through. August 21st filer. We are super bummed about it. Just looking for some insight, who else has received one? Does anyone know how long it extends the process by? My fiance and I have a ton of evidence of being together and of our relationship so I'm not sure what is needed. Will a letter come in the mail explaining what they're looking for?

He couldn't tell me anything else, but he filed an inquiry of some kind to the service center that said, "Please approve this case or provide an update to the petitioner." I thought that was quite strange. I pressed him more on if any mail notification has been sent to me and he said he could only see my notice from back in August. He gave me a confirmation number and said to call back "in a few weeks." I'll be calling back tomorrow to speak with another tier 2.

Hi everybody. This wait is driving me craaaazy. My fiance and I are August 21st filers. Should I be worried that people after this date have been approved, should I just keep waiting? Is there a number to cool for a more recent update?
