I think this web page will answer a lot of your questions:

    https://de.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/

The consulate will also mail your fiancée the relevant instructions.  One extra thing that they asked for and that was not mentioned on that web page was my residence history, i.e., a list of all the places where I had lived.  If you still have questions you can email them, they seem to be pretty responsive (for a government agency).

    1. My instructions said to mail the original completed and signed form.  I think I also mailed original supporting documents and got them back at the end of the interview.
    2. I think a copy might suffice if your other evidence is convincing.
    3. I think I mailed the confirmation page and also brought it to the interview.
    4. You schedule your interview yourself online after the consulate has received the documents and green-lighted you.  By "registration page" they probably mean the confirmation page, see 3, the one with the Confirmation Number / Bestätigungsnummer on it.  You can print the appointment confirmation page after you have scheduled an appointment.
    5. It's best to schedule the medical exam so that the results reach the consulate in time for the interview.  However, it's not really a problem if you do the medical later.  The consulate will just delay the issuance of the visa until they get the results.
    6. I think I used tracked mail ("Einwurfeinschreiben") by Deutsche Post.  No problem.
    7. I think I brought the DS-160 confirmation page, the appointment confirmation page, and a couple of photos.  My officer didn't ask for any documents or evidence.

Thanks for the help and info!  After awhile and just reading through we finally figured it out and just hoped for the best.  Everything went well and we are now just waiting for the visa to arrive.

  2. Here is my timeline after receiving NOA in the mail while I was in the states.  I received an email from NVC saying they were sending the package to the Embassy and it should take a couple weeks to receive.

NOA Received & Sent to NVC.

    10/16/2018

NVC Approved & Sent to the Embassy

Received Packet 3.  It was dated 31 Oct 18 on the cover page

  3. Hello,

I am the petitioner and I’ve filed for a K1 Visa for my fiancé living in Germany.  My I-I129F petition is at U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt and I’m looking for some help or guidance regarding next steps after receiving packet 3.  Is the information on “Frankfurt, Germany US Embassy / Consulate Info” still accurate because it was last dated 2016.  If that information on that page is still accurate, I'll follow those steps moving forward.  I tried posting in the Regional forum but no replies.  Decided to post here.

    Questions:

1.) Do I bring the original AOS and Supporting Documents to the interview or do I include in the packet I send to the consulate?

2.) Does the letter from my Bank have to be the original copy?  I printed off the copy I received via email but it's not the best copy.  Everything on the letter is clear and you're able to read perfectly.
3.) Do I include confirmation page from DS-160 in the packet or bring it to the interview?
    4.) Two part question

    Part 1
Is the interview date received from Packet 4 or prescheduled by my fiancé once she registers/creates a profile from http://www.ustraveldocs.com?  It was a little confusing when we were reading all the steps under the nonimmigrant visa application section of the website.

    Part 2
Also, another confusing part was when we were reading the description from the Immigrant / Fiancé(e) & K Visa Application Checklist on section “DOCUMENT DELIVERY ADDRESS: Prior to your interview”.  The part were confused on reads as follows:

Please remember to include a copy of your registration confirmation page with the other document that you send to the Consulate before your interview.

Note: Fiancé and K visa applicants need to submit their appointment confirmation at the time of the visa interview instead of the registration confirmation.

Does that mean she still has to include the “registration page” in the packet after creating a profile from www.ustraveldocs.com/de?

Is the appointment confirmation page received from the Consulate or after creating/scheduling an appointment from http://www.ustraveldocs.com?

5.) Should my fiancé schedule/complete the medical examination before or after sending all required documents to the consulate?

6.) I know it says send all document regular mail through the Deutsche Post, but has anyone else sent the documents in a faster/secure delivery method without any issues?

7.) Does anyone have a list of documents to bring to the interview?

Any advice or tips in this step process would be greatly appreciated it.  Thank you in advance for helping me clear up these questions.

    Thank you,

    Matt

  5. Hello,

I just realized I forgot to fill out Part 2 Block 45a, Address in the United States Where Your Beneficiary Intends to Lives.  I already sent the entire application and it should be arriving at the PO Box in Texas today (3/158/2018).  Is there any way to correct the issue by phone or email before I receive an RFE?  In the event I receive an RFE, do you think they would make me resubmit the entire application with supporting documents?

    Thanks,

    Matt
