  1. Hi everyone, I am hoping someone can give me some advice.

Does anyone know how I change my address with the Montreal Consulate. I should be getting my interview soon but need the interview letter to go to my new address.

    thanks

  2. I just got an email from the Montreal Consulate. They recieved my package 3 on Jan 17th.

They said in the email that my interview could be in four months due to the backload of interviews to be done to date.

    Unbelievble. :crying:

  3. Well, I am going to take a gamble, be honest at POE and hopefully won't be denied entry.

The earliest time I would get my interview for a K3 would be May, but we all know all really long it could be.

I have decided to go to the US for a visit for a couple of months. (2 months)

I have with me a letter from my employer stating a leave of absence and my return date back to work, my car lease agreement, my apartment lease agreement.

Do anyone have any advice or suggestions for me? I would really appreciate it. :help:

  4. So my interview won't be until May or June. I just can't handle it anymore.

I decided to go to the US before my interview and take the chance. I will take a leave of absence from work and at the border show proof of my intention to return to the Canada. i.e. letter of employment, car lease, mortage etc etc. That way at least we won't be apart so long.

This process is ridiculous. I mean there are people since Nov and Dec still waiting for interviews.

    Wish me Luck!!

  5. I just called the Montreal Consulate, they advised me that the earlies I would receive an interview will be May.

They entered my package 3 in the system Jan. 30th. Needless to say I am like everyone else out there, trying to be patient but frustrated at the same time.

  6. I just called the Montreal consulate regarding confirmation if my package 3 was received.

She said it has been received, entered into the system on January 30th and that I am on a waiting list for an interview. Me and everyone else it seems.

She never indicated how long the waiting list is. I am hoping March or April.

Seems like no one has received any February interviews yet.

  7. The montreal consulate received my pacakge 3 via courier on Jan 17th, I have called twice and it is still not in the system.

I plan on calling every 2 weeks to get the status of it.

Don't know why it takes so long. It seems like they do more of the K1 interviews then the K3.

When did you submit your pacakge 3? Was it to Montreal?

  8. Hi Everyone, my K3 is in Montreal and I sent my pkg 3 on Jan. 17th.

I am really concered with waiting 4 months in order to receive my interview.

My medical is scheduled here in Newfoundland on Feb 01st.

Should I try to transfer my case to Vancouver, would this speed up the interview process?

I could always say I am there for work purposes.

I don't want to wait 4 months to receive an interview.

    Any advice???

  9. Received by Snail Mail.

Looks like the CSC & VSC are approving the I-130 & I-129 on or near the same day.

Was that message you typed early from your online status or your snail mail notice? I just got email approval notice of my I-130 (no I-129 yet) and mine just says:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

The last processing action taken on your case

    Receipt Number: ##########

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On January 9, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

  10. Hi everyone, I am hoping someone can help me. I am confused.

On Dec. 27/06 both my I130 and I129F were approved at the same time. My I129F is now at the Montreal Consulate and I am awaiting to receive my checklist.

My intention is to have my interview at the Consulate in Montreal, when approved fly to the US and once in the US file for an ajustment of status and EAD to be able to work.

What do I do with my I130 approved application now, do I just leave it alone until I get to the US? Do I have to call the NVC to let them know my intention.

Here is what the approval reads.

I 130 Your petition is approved. The petition indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of staus. He or she would contact the local INS office to obtain form I485, Application for Permanent Residence.

If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for a visa outside the US based on this petition the petitioner should file form I824. Appliation for Action on an approved application for petition, with this office to request that we send the petition to the Department of State National Visa Cener (NVC).

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Lana
