  1. My lease is up in 2 months and we will be moving to a different place. I am filling out DS260 for my parents and there’s a question to where they should mail their green cards once the everything is done. I am estimating that it will be at least 3 months after nvc approves their documents, get an interview appointment and whatnot. Is it safe for me to put my grandmother in law’s house who lives next state and put my name as a contact? We go there often and handles some of our letters. I just dont want to risk losing their green cards to the wrong hands when the time comes. Or should I stick with our current address and call them to change it later? Do you even call the uscis for that even though my petitions went to nvc and consular processing? Let me know. I really want to get this done already.
  2. So I am preparing to do the I-864 for my parents and I have to upload it online. Both of my parents are principal immigrants. I filed an I-130 separately but at the same time. Do I have to upload TWO separate affidavit of support? Or do I just do one? I am planning to just combine it all into 1 pdf file if I have to do two I-864. Let me know so i can get everything ready. I am stuck on this part and I want to get it all done by weekend. Thanks!
  3. I did. My PD is June 27, Both my parents’ cases were approved on June 5th. I called them and I was informed. You might wanna try and call.
  4. Just wanna let you all guys know that I just called USCIS today and was told that both of my petitions for my parents which is also an I-130 were approved yesterday. PD is June 27, 2019, nebraska service center. You guys should call. Website is not updating. 😊
  5. Hello!! So I am preparing my petition for my parents and I am stuck with the beneficiary's information about spouse and children. So, my oldest sister and I are both married. Do I put our married names or do I put our maiden names instead??? This is the last thing I need to fill out. Thank you a bunch! 😘😘😘
  6. Lucky you!!! Share their experiences here. What questions did the CO ask?
  7. My dad had a 3-month tourist visa when he went to Dubai. He only stayed there for 2 months. I assumed that they thought of that, but after my citizenship is done, I am planning to get my parents over here but will go through consular processing in the Philippines. So even if my dad got approved with tourist visa I was not planning to "adjust his status" over here as I need him to be in the Philippines to process things together with my mom. But of course COs always think of the worse which is understandable.
  8. No, not yet. He needs his passport renewed because it expires in less than 6 months. We'll try again when he gets a new passport. Maybe around June.
  9. No not yet. Will try again this April.
  10. I had my interview august 15 2017, they just now scheduled me for aoth ceremony. Dont worry, it will come.
  11. So, I spoke to USCIS officer few hours ago and told them that i have not received my oath ceremony yet that is scheduled for March 5, 2018. So the lady I talked to faxed me the oath ceremony letter but it only shows my name, the date and location of ceremony. This is going to be in the judicial court. I was wondering, if I dont receive the actual notice in the mail, can they print the form that I need to fill out at the court office???
  12. So, my status changed on Feb 8 and it says my oath ceremony letter was mailed and to call if I dont receive it by March 10. It's been 2 weeks and no mail yet. I found out about that my oath is scheduled on March 5th because I called the district court that I chose to attend. I tried changing the location before but they would not allow it as it is not within my district. And my district only does ceremony once a year. I was trying to look for an infopass appointment in my local uscis office which is btw 8 hours drive and it does not have anything open in the next 14 days. I only have 5 business days left to wait for my appointment letter. If it does not arrive can I just attend the ceremony and have them verify my name on their list and print me out whatever I need to fill out? This is making me nervous. I have been waiting for 7 months since my approval. I cannot miss this appointment. 😯
  13. That can be a good possibility. I actually applied for citizenship and it is still pending. But do you think he cant get a chance for a b2 visa anymore because of that?
  14. Do you think my dad can try again in 2 weeks? Or is that too early? What did your inlaws do differently the next time aside from being more relaxed and confident? I am trying to think what my dad can do differently next time if we decide for him to try again.
