    I finally have an update!

A couple of weeks ago, I was able to get in touch with a tier 2 rep about the letter I received. The letter stated that my permanent resident status had been terminated because I failed to file my i751. But I did file it. Anyway, apparently it was sent in error... 😑

Thankfully, as of August 12th, my new card is being produced!!! 😊

This whole process has been an emotional roller coaster for sure 😰

Congratulation! Question for you. When you found out your card is in the process, did you get any notification? or you found it out by checking the website? I was wondering if they send any notification via text/email when Green card is being produced.

Congrats! I got my Biometrics done last Friday 7/19/2019 and my status says the same thing! Hoping the process speeds up from here!

In other news, I received a letter in the mail stating that my conditional resident status was terminated as of 2/18/2018 because I didn’t file my i751...

But I DID file it, and it was within the 90 day window. Also, I received my biometrics appointment letter and just completed it on 7/19. I called customer service and when I finally got through and gave all of my information, I was told that they would usually escalate my call to someone higher up, but because all of them were busy I would need to call back another time. 😕

Should I be worried??? I’m definitely confused and annoyed. Ughhhh.

That's crazy. I'm so sorry to hear about this news. I was never able to contact the tier 2 customer service simply because they put me on hold so long, and I couldn't sit and wait at my office. I think our fellow February filers can answer how they contacted tier 2.  I heard Fridays are generally slower in the customer service lines than any other days. Can someone confirm?

I personally would not worry so much because  you received all the letters after 2/18/2018 (i.e. 18 months extension, Biometric appointment). This whole thing does not make sense at all. However, you should definitely call and contact the customer service. Please keep this post.

Finally heard something from DHS 🎉 I have my biometrics appointment on the 16th. Both web portals still showing unable to update/case received. This is the first contact I've had since applying other than the 18m extension.

Funny thing happened. I have received the biometrics appointment today as of 8th, and it was scheduled on the 18th. I finally got something from USCIS since the 18 months extension from last year. No websites (both old and new)  update yet, and neither email or text notifications.

Hopefully things will move forward for everyone who is still waiting.

  4. @starsky Thank you. I know there are a few of us still waiting on our status change. We will need to stay strong!

Have you applied to US citizenship?

  5. @ThisIsCat

I just called the customer service this morning and asked about my case status. As I expected, it's all the same answers. My case is still in the process, case status has shown in error on the website is common to any applicants ( don't know why they don't fix), No typo on the case numbers or current address, No biometric. and so on. Nothing has changed yet.

They sent the request for the biometric notification, so within 15 days, I will find out why I haven't received yet. We need to call the customer service and make an appointment for the InfoPass 30 days prior to the 18 extension letter expiration date if we don't get approvals by then.

I hope you and other applicants who have the same situation like me will get the result ASAP.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this too.

It says “...USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case.”

    😕

I'm in the exactly the same situation... No case update on the new website. Old one says they cannot provide the info. No biometric, neither waiver notification. Just 18 months extension.

When you have a chance, you should call customer service and see what they say. Last time when I called, it was a few months ago, but they said that they could see my status is still on pending.

    Hey everyone!

I filed my i751 2/18 and I have yet to hear anything at all. No biometrics, no transfer or anything. I’ve been logging on to see my case status and all it says is that my application was recived. Should I contact USCIS? If yes, then who should I call?

I’m trying not to become overly anxious, but August is coming up and my extension letter will expire.

    Hi Cat,

What's the old site saying about your status? I'm in the similar situation like you.

Here still waiting, just a little from VSC have been approved in my case number area. Fingers cross. Some are still waiting from December 2017 and January 2018. So am not that worried. They will definitely approve, ref or interview God forbid interview anyway.

    It is well.

Yes hopefully we will get the approval letters, not RFE, not definitely interview for sure. What concerns me is my case status on the old website since it looks to me that approved applicants were notified through the old website first before the new website status changed. But you are right. Crossfinger!

Did you apply for N-400? I’m a CA applicant and this happened to me when I applied for my N-400 while waiting for I-751 approval.

During my N-400 interview the officer explained to me that once I applied for naturalization, the I-751 will automatically be moved to the jurisdiction where N-400 will be handled. It just doesn’t reflect online.

Also called USCIS support months ago but seemed they didn’t have any idea about the unknown status.

Nope. I have not filed N-400 yet. I've heard of the change of the process once you apply to N-400 while on I-751 is pending. I've also called USCIS tier 1 customer service and asked them about my current status and the website issue. All what they said was that they could see my case status with no issue and was still on the pending. It was months ago.

Thank you for replying. I called customer service too and they told me the same thing. Good thing our extesion letter is still valid. I have traveled out of the country without any problems so far. We'll jusy have to wait. Good luck

Thank you. Good luck to you too!

I'm in the same boat. Got my 18m extension but nothing about biometrics and nothing beyond "Your case was received" at myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov. Through the app I just get "Case Status" and "We are unable to provide an update" messages. I've entered and left the country several times on the 18m extension letter and never had any trouble tho.

Thank you for the feedback. It's good to know that there are many filers who have traveled with 18 months extension without any issue. I'll have to travel oversea this coming summer, so I hope I get this done by then.

I haven't received anything regarding biometrics. On the original uscis website and the case tracker app my receipt number is not even recognized, that's why I got a little worried.

Good news is that you are not alone. I haven't received any Biometric appointment, not even "Reuse it" notice. I get the message like "USCIS does not recognize your case number..." something like this on the original website. New one says the "Case was received" on feb 24 2018. No change at all.

I called the customer service about like one month ago, and they told me that they can see my case there. I'm not sure how reliable they are, but what can I do?

    Hello everyone!

My case was received on Feb 27th 2018 and besides the 18 month extension letter I have no updates. If i check my status it says "we received your case" and that i don't have to do anything at this point. Anyone still in the same boat?

Same... I've called the customer service time by time. All what they say is to wait. I've been checking the online status every morning first thing I do when I get to my office.  Have you received Biometric appointment before 18 months extension notice?

    N-400 was not filed.

This has been such a long stressful process, good luck to anyone still waiting on a response :)

Congratulation! Quick question, Did your whole case number change when you got transferred to Texas? or just first letter of your case number?

  13. Hi guys,

I submitted form I-865 (Sponsor Change of Address) since I moved out. Today, I got the confirmation letter from USCIS. Odd part is the letter shows my wife's name (U.S Citizen) as petitioner, not my name. As far as I remember, U.S citizen is the sponsor and Green cart holder is the petitioner, correct?

Can anyone who have submitted I-865 before confirm with me? Or anyone who knows?

I'm filed at Vermont, still haven't heard anything which is to be expected. I went to the DMV today with my 18 month extension letter to update my license and to my surprise the gentlemen there checked my status on his computer to see how long he can extend my license, he showed me that it is now showing as indefinite so he said that is good news even though you haven't heard anything. He extended my license to the full 4 years for the PA license :D  Hopefully I hear something from USCIS soon.

First of all, congratulation on the 10 years card. Speaking of DMV, I have received the letter from them (Mine is AZ motor vehicle department) a few days ago and told me something about my status has changed, and they will need to reissue the new Driver's license. I got my first AZ license about a month ago with the same process as yours (showing my Green card and 18 months extension letter. They only gave me 4 months period ; ; ). Hopefully, this is the similar case as yours.

Congrats!  I see that there is no info about your biometrics in the chart.  Did you receive the letter about them re-using biometrics?  Or nothing?  We did not receive one, but it looks like most CSC filers in this month's chart did.. Anyone else not receive a letter regarding biometrics at all?  We did receive the 18 month extension, so seems like nothing to worry about but still curious.  Thanks!

    Hi,

    I also have not received the biometric appointment letter, but 18 months extension in August. I recently switched my employment, and the new employer ran the E-verify. It went through. I'm assuming that my status is still valid. I'm on the same boat. It worries me somewhat, but all I can do is just wait and see what they say. I also received the same email notification saying "We are still reviewing your case" last night. My case is at CSC. I just do not know how much longer I have to wait. ; ;

Hello! I haven’t received a biometrics letter neither. I was a little nervous because every time i check my case status they never recognized my receip number. Where do you login to receive email updates?

https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ I believe this is what everyone else uses as well. Create your own account and register your receipt number on the latest letter you have received so far ( i.e. the 18 month extension)

USCIS "Check Case Status" shows something like they cannot provide any information. When I called customer service and dial in my receipt number, it says they cannot find my information. I have the same issue. When I talked the tier 1 and provided the numbers, they pulled out my info so I think it's still there. It's been this way from the beginning for me.  Some people say it's the "Glitch", but cannot be so sure. None of us works at USCIS.
