I already had my interview and my visa has been issued, it should be arriving next week ^_^
And sure, I'll send you the instructions I got from the embassy!

Edit: Well, I would send it but I have no clue how to to that :D I'll just upload them here, maybe that works?

INSTRUCTION FOR OBTAINING A MEDICAL EXAMINATION.doc

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIANCÉ.doc

That's great news. Now you can start to take control of how fast you want to move to the issuance of the visa.

I try and share P3 letters with others that come behind you and I do not have a P3 letter for your Embassy-Finland. Would you be willing to send me a copy using the PM here on VJ? Thanks.

That would be awesome to have packet 3 from Finland embassy.

Thank you! As far as I know, it can be either in English or Finnish, since the instructions paper says that if you don't speak either of the two, you can have an interpreter accompany you. But mine was in English and I didn't ask to have it in Finnish so I'm not 100% sure how it works.

Edit: The paper also says that you have to contact them to let them know the interpreter's information so I'm guessing they won't be providing you one, but I'd ask them to be sure if you need one.

Thank You! Also, did you do your medical as soon as you had the NVC case number or did you wait until your packet 3 arrived?

    Thanks

Two things to be aware of. They will offer you a translator but if you choose to use one don't be surprised when the CO ask you somewhere in the interview how you and your fiancree will communicate. Don't let this bite you.

So I speak fluent English and Russian, my fiancé speaks fluent Russian and Finnish, and a little bit of English of course. Hence we mostly communicate in Russian. However her interview will be in Finland because that's where she resides.

i have no clue as where is better, but all i can say is... the embassy in Moscow has a HUGE backlog of people wanting to get an interview. Also if your fiance works and resides in Finland? why not schedule your fiance to have her interview in Finland? I am assuming she is a russian native.

Thanks for the input. Yes she's a Russian native, since so many people are saying that Moscow is backlogged then I will go through Helsinki

  6. My fiancée works and lives currently in Finland, very close to Russia. I’m wondering if it’s better for her to apply at the Helsinki embassy instead of Moscow? Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated.

also how does the Helsinki embassy work as far as scheduling the interview? Do I schedule it myself after the NOA2? Does the recipient and beneficiary both get notified that they can schedule the interview? Any details are greatly appreciated!!!
