Hello,
I'm sending out our package today and I was wondering if it matters what address my checks have? I moved a few months ago so my checks (which are mine, not my parent's) have my parent's address, where I used to live. But now my physical address is different since my wife and I have our own place. Does this matter for USCIS? I'm paying for the I-130 and I-485 if anyone is curious.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I foolishly thought I could apply for a fee waiver when it doesn't apply to our situation. I see your I-765 and I-131 only took 61 days? That is encouraging. Any tips? I keep hearing it's taking over 90 days but you seem to have gotten yours quite quickly!

Hello,
My wife and I are applying to adjust her status and I made a mistake so I am 100% sure that it will get returned. So does anyone know how long that takes? Also, would they notify my that they received it (I sent the E-Notification G-1145) and then send it back to me? I sent it on January 16th via Fed-Ex and it arrived on January 18th. Any input would be great, I just want to get an idea of when to expect it. Thanks!

So how long does it take for them to send back the packet? I talked to my wife and she said her sister doesn't mind moving the baptism to a further date! So we can probably wait until the late summer.

The problem is she has overstayed her admit until date.

Hello,
So a bit about our situation. My wife is from Spain and entered on the Visa Waiver Program. At the time, we did not plan on getting married but as you know, things happen and we decided to tie the knot two days after her I-94 expired. We have recently applied to adjust her status here in the US but I messed up the application by sending a I-912, which I now know doesn't apply to us, so I know the application will be sent back. The problem is she needs to go back to Spain in May for a non-emergency situation (I heard the I-131's are taking a long time, over 100 days?). So, my question is, can we go back to Spain and simply apply for her green card in Spain at the consulate even though she's overstayed about a month? We like living in Spain much more than in the US anyway but we can make more money working here so we do want to live in the US at some point. I just don't want her to not be able to live and work here in the future. I know many of you will say why does she need to go back if it's not for an emergency but it's for a special event that means a lot to both of us.
Thanks for your help!

Hello everyone. Safe to say I'm a mess right now. My wife is from Spain (she entered on the VWP because we weren't planning on getting married) and we got married last month. We just sent her application to adjust her status. We've spoken to a lawyer and he said it's a simple case so we went ahead and decided to do all the paperwork ourselves. I don't make much money so I figured I'd apply for the fee waiver (I-912). I received confirmation that the package was received yesterday. Problem is the I-912 doesn't apply to us! We can't even apply for that waiver but I already sent our package without the fees. What can I do now? I also sent her I-765 and I-131 for advanced parole because my wife wants to go back to Spain for our nephew's baptism in May. I feel like this is going to delay everything a bit more and it's killing me that she might not be able to go in May, considering we are the Godparents. I should be able to borrow some money for the fees but should I just send the checks alone? Any advice? Thanks
Will a initial request for evidence on I-485 delay I-131 & I-765?

Basically what the title states. I checked my spouse's AOS and looks like USCIS recently sent a request for initial evidence on her I-485. I am aware this means our case has gone into a halt, but will it affect my spouse's I-131 and I-765? USCIS received everything February 5th so we were hoping she would be able to travel and work by late May/June so I'm hoping this won't delay that. Also, her I-131 and I-765 hasn't been updated since last month, only her I-485 has. Any input helps. Thanks in advance!
