  1. I have read that if you have a FINS # you are subject to 'special registration'. Special registration is to do with the NSEERS- entry and exit program, and as I understand it is only for non-immigrants.

I have a FINS # on my tourist visa- last year I was refused admission into the US at the POE and withdrew my application for admission to the US- (we were given incorrect information from INS call centre in regard to my entry after marriage with tourist visa and was told I could adjust status this way)

There is also a notation of this withdrawal application in my passport with A (7) (a) (i), I have read up about the A (7) (a) (i) and know this refers to immigrant intent.

I read somewhere somebody said that if you have this FINS # you have been deported- can this be? (seing as I withdrew my application for admission)

Our K3 has been approved and made it's way to the Consulate. I just want to be prepared for my interview at the Consulate and would like to hear from any of you guys who knows anything about this.

I received no documentation from the POE officer.

I would also like to know if this means that my tourist visa has been cancelled. Not that I want to enter the US on my tourist visa(thats what the K3 is for), this is just a question for all the paperwork that I still have to fill in- one of the questions: has your visa ever been cancelled or revoked....

    Thanx all!

  2. This was the most unexpected message today. I am so used to logging into USCIS and seing the usual -received and pending!

My husband phoned the INS on friday because we were 'officially' over the processing time. On Monday he went to the senator's offices and they were following up on the matter.

This morning an approval notice for our K3 and I130!!!

Thanx to whoever made this happen! I am still thunderstruck. ( I am just going to check agian to see if it is really real  )

Phoned my hubby even though it is 2 in the morning in the US. We are just so glad that our approvals finally came through so we can get through the rest of the visa process.

    :dance::dance::dance:

  3. I did not receive any of the paperwork, so I have been having nightmares about everything! If I could just get to the approval bit, then I can tackle the next step with new vigour. I am spending far to much time on the internet reading up about all the bad things that have happened to people like us! :crying: And not knowing what effect this will have on our petitions is killing me. I am sooooooooo depressed.

I really would appreciate you keeping in touch and letting me know how things are going with your petition.

Thanx so much, and as you said goodluck to us!

  4. Thanx guys for your support.

My husband phoned the call center before sending in our petitions and 'they' informed him that it was not necessary to send anything or mention this in our petition. So guess we should have know better and been proactive, rather than just believe this.

Yesterday he phoned 'them' to inform them of my change of address and 'they' said that 'they' could not change it because 'they' did not have the papers with them. He then enquired about how much longer before we hear anything and was told that for the 1130 it could take anything from 6 months to a year. He then promptly asked what about the I129f, and was told that that is a fiance visa. hahaha. He continued the conversation and tried to explain that it was indeed a K3 spousal visa, which as we all know is also applied for with the I129f form. So much for getting there quicker.

Needless to say the conversation did not last much longer, and he told me that he is NEVER phoning 'them' again.

So we are nearing the 180 day mark, and my husband will contact his congressman at that time.

Today is one of those days that I keep wondering why, why, why did this happen. I am stuck in limbo and it is killing me.

    Thanx for letting me vent

  5. Our I130 petition has been with the CSC since Sept 2006 and our I129F has been there since Oct 2006.

    Just pending-no touching, no nothing!

My husband phoned his senator as we are nearing the 180 day mark, but was told to call once we hit it!

Hopefully everybody who has been waiting so long will be approved soon. Or I'll be old and gray by the time I get to my husband!

  6. Firstly congrats to all of you who received NOA2's recently!

One thing I would like to know is if your petition was transferred to another service center, should one start counting the days from receipt at the service center that one was transferred to. ( I presume nothing was done prior to that-except transfer of file)

In our case our petition for a K3 visa was received in Chicago and a NOA1 was sent out October (12th or 16th)- however CSC emailed notice on 1 Nov that our petition was received on 26th Oct. As far as I can tell from the CSC timelines posted on the site the average days from NOA1 to approval is 100days. ( that would be 100days to many!!)

I am soooooo tired of waiting...... I am hoping that our NOA2 will magically appear and make me extremely happy. I am so lonely without my husband. :crying:

Do you think the CSC will get around to the K3's soon? Anybody out there who has a NOA2 for a K3 from the CSC filed middle Oct to early Nov??? This waiting is really nerve wrecking!!!

  7. I travelled to the US with my husband after our marriage. We were informed that I could travel on my tourist visa ........arrived in the US and was sent back immediately! Had to do the 'application for admission withdrawn' thingy. Have a I 130 and K3 pending currently. My question is whether this will affect my visa application negatively in any way? I have looked up the definition of this term -"an arriving aliens voluntary retraction of an application for admission to the US in lieu of removal hearing before an immigration judge or an expedited removal. Withdrawels are not included in non immigrant admission data" Further more will there be any other docmentation to be completed. I had an return ticket which was just changed, so it was at no cost to the US... VERY CONFUSED. Anybody out there who can help?
