  1. Hi,

    Good day!

I would like to ask if anyone in this group already had this kind of experienced or been in this situation. Parents Documents filed September 2018. Parents Documentarily Qualified April 2020 and Mother has a different Date July 2020. Now the case still not forwarded to US Embassy Manila. Pending due to pandemic. Here are my questions:

    1. Can they travel in the US with their multiple entry and have it request to US Embassy transfer the case back to US? Is it possible?

    2. Can they enter the US without any problem?

Please I need your insights. Already made expedite request but no results yet. Due to situation right now in the Philippines, I do not want to wait until they will be the victim of Covid 19.

Thank you to all who will answer.

I’m an April filer and it took a few days for the email/text. But I have heard there has been a slow down from May filers and people haven’t got immediate confirmations. Also, there has been major glitches with NOA/extension letters. I’m not sure how June filers are doing but April and May have been messed up. It took me 62 days to receive my extension. There are still people fighting for theirs from April. Be prepared for the wait and ready to file Non delivery of notice if that occurs. Also might be helpful to locate the June Filers 2020 forum for support.
    Good luck!

Thank you but how long did you received a text message that they got your application? We sent June 2 received June 5, 2020 but until now check has not been encash yet.

If they accept your petition they will send you an extension letter that is valid for 18 months from the expiration date on your greencard. So the proof of your status will be extended with 18 months. This letter together with your expired greencard is valid for work and travel etc, just like a normal valid greencard.

Once the ROC is approved you'll get a greencard that is valid for 10 years.

There are people who filed in February 2020 who already have their approvals. There are also people who filed back in 2017 who are still waiting. It's impossible to guess how long yours will take.

Can I renew my driver’s license with that extension letter? That is my worried because if not then I am in trouble going ti work. Also what is ROC I am sorry what dies it mean?

    Hi Everyone,

I would like to know if how long is the process of removal of conditional residence. Filed I-751 already and they just received it today. Any idea if when are they going to send notification and are they going to extend automatic because I am working so I am afraid that I may not be able to work continuously if they will not extend it. If extended, are they gonna send a letter? Once approved how long is the validity of the new greencard.

It took us several weeks for the NVC to contact us with the case number. We got the notice that it was being sent to the NVC at the beginning of August. I think we received the email with the case number on September 30th. It will come! It's definitely a hurry up and wait process. We started to fill out the Affidavit of Support after paying the fee and realized that the form was going to expire on October 14 so we decided to wait till tomorrow to print out forms and such. We've already uploaded all the documents they need.....I hope :)

So is the USCIS Case Number that starts with LIN will be the same number that NVC will give or it us a different number? I am confused. We got letter from USCIS stating that the case forwarded to NVC for visa processing. So how long nvc will send us notice? Also who will receive the notice - Applicant or Petitioner?

  6. Hi,

Thank you in advance for those who can share their journey as well. Our parents petitioned was approved. My sister received a letter for my Father and Mother stating that it was forwarded to NVC. Now my questions would be:

    1. What will be the next step after USCIS forwarded the Papers to NVC?

    2. Who will receive notice now from NVC? My sister who petitioned our Parents or Our Parents? And for how long the notice will be receive after forwarding from USCIS to NVC?

    3. When will be the Visa Fee happen? And who will receive it (applicant or petitioner)

    4. How much is the current visa fee?

    5. Regarding the Supporting Documents, can I include my latest pay-slip or Income tax (if I have) aside from my sister income tax? (I work also here as immigrant)

thank you so much for any inputs. We got the noticed last Sept 26, 2019 and we are puzzled what’s next.

    God Bless You All.

    sincerely,

    ShawnJayden

  7. Hi All,

Does anyone here who filed their AOS I-485 and already had their interview? What was the questions asked? Are we both be ask/interview or only the Applicant? Is there anybody here who was not called for interview? Is this a random? After interview, am I immediately be getting GreenCard or I will be receiving it through mail. Is there any chances of failing the interview?  Thanks for all those who will share their experienced. God Bless Us All

I want to make sure we do everything perfectly especially since this new policy is taking affect. Could you guys just look over what we will be including and tell me if I need to add anything. Also, I've seen some people include their medical results and their police certificate. Is this necessary, would it hurt? Also can I just do one check for the amount of $1225 or does it have to be two separate checks? One for AOS fee and one for biometrics?

    Our packet will include....

    • Cover Page
    • Check
    • Two passport style photos
    • G-1145 E Notification
    • Form i-485 Adjustment of Status through K1 Visa
    • Complete copy of passport
    • Copy of passport page with K1 Visa
    • K1 NOA1 Recipet
    • K1 NOA2 Notice of Approval
    • Copy of updated i-94
    • Copy of his birth certificate
    • Copy of marriage certificate
    • Picture of us on our wedding day (I know not necessary just wanted to add a little personal touch)
    • i-864 Affidavit  of Support (along with a letter from my bank, a letter from my employer, copy of my last 3 recent tax returns, last few pay stubs (maybe last 5?), and bank statements from a year).
    • i-765 Employment Authorization Document
    • i-131 Advance Parole permission to travel

    Does that look good guys?

Picture not necessary unless you want. Looks good but you have to individually pit the docs attached to each Application Form like I-485

    > NOA

    > NOA 2

    and the rest

same with I-765 & I-131. That’s what I did and I have notice for Biometrics already

EAD is the employment authorization or I-765. That is what took 143 days for him to get. It looks like the interview is now mandatory as of the middle of May for AOS or I-485. Yes, we waited a year to finally hear that we are ready to be scheduled for interview. It could be months before we are actually scheduled.  I’m not sure how fast Cleveland is. You could check. I do know that Atlanta is very back logged.

Thanks. How to check? Is it from their website too?

We are currently on month 13. On June 19, we got a notice that we are ready to be scheduled for an interview. I’ve heard that can take around 4+ months. We are sending off my husband’s EAD extension next week. His EAD expires in October. That took him 143 days to get!  :o

    Hi Diane & Chris,

just wondering what is EAD? So you mean you waited for 13 months then finally you got notice for interview? What took you for 143 days? I -485 I - 765 I -131 or which one of those? Also if you do not mind sharing which state you are from? Because as I read from here that depends on the backlog or as to how many applicants do they have on hand. Hopefully not so much in Cleveland Ohio. Is interview mandatory or also random? I heared too they took off from the list that K1 waived before. Thanks for the answer hope to hear you! God Bless

Looks like your USCIS office is in Cleveland.  We live in Georgia so we go to Atlanta. Atlanta is one of the slower ones.

    Hi hope its faster

*~*~*moved from "K-1 fiancé visa progress reports" to "AOS from family-based K visas" as OP is now in the AOS stage*~*~*

So does this means that if I am from Ohio will depends on how backlog they maybe or how many applicants they have? Is it solely for Ohio State or other states shares with Ohio? Thanks for ideas

Means if Ohio then Ohio USCIS will process it?

  12. 5 hours ago, geowrian said:

Depends on your local USCIS office and their backlog. It's typically about 6-12 months, although some field offices have an 18+ wait still.

Who will process it the USCIS Cleveland Field Office OR  the USCIS Main Office? I sent my docs in Chicago? And Missouri who sent me notices so i am wondering who will now be the one to process! Any idea? Thank you

  13. Does anyone here knew how long will you be notify through email or postmail regarding change of status from K1 to conditional immigrant. Just sent my I-485 I-765 I-131 last July 6, 2018 and received July 9 Monday. Any info? For those who have it already how long will it take for you to have Biometric Appointments and Is there any interview and how long did you get your Conditional GreenCard. Thanks for those who will share! God Bless Us all

Thank you!!! I heard rumors of it changing for about a year now, but didn't see anything official. Looks like this changed on May 15th. I see the USCIS policy manual updated and no longer lists K-class applicants as being eligible for a waiver.

Looks like everybody coming form a K-1 will have an interview now.  Bleh.

A photocopy is fine. Have the original with you for the interview just in case they request it.

    Your Alien Number / A-Number is listed on the I-129F's NOA2. It starts with an "A" followed by 3 sets of 3 digits (i.e. A123 456 789). It's above the beneficiary's name.

Hopefully no more to expedite the process

It's not required to send wedding photos, but just a couple to include is fine as well. Evidence of a bona fide marriage is evaluated base don the totality of the circumstances, not any single piece of evidence or ceremony. The marriage certificate is all the IO needs to confirm that the marriage is valid (along with any records of dissolution of prior marriages, if any).

If the DS-3025 is marked as "US vaccination requirements COMPLETE" and is signed by the panel physician already, - and the medical is still valid (less than 1 year old) - then no US Civil Surgeon is necessary.

Thank you. How about Alien Number should I apply for it or they will provide once I submitted the Form 485? DS 3025 no need to submit or still need to send them a copy of it?
