  1. Hien,

I am in a very similar situation with you as well but my family approves my fiance and everybody loves him very much :) . He will make use of his last vacation days to be here with me in the interview and yes, we have only 7 days total for the interview and everything if i get the visa. I go to work until Friday, he will come here on Saturday, my interview will be on Monday morning and i might go to work on Monday night if ...(praying everyday for that "if" will never happens :P ) I agree with you that the fiance should be with us in the interview day, they will do no thing but waiting for us, but it helps much with mental support. :) Thank you for your information about 2006 tax, he is filling for that tax and we will have all full 2006 tax details in this week.

Also, i want to tell you that do not trust any attorney, we will only get them for the general information, VJ is the best place for us which leads to successful visa issued

  2. Couldn't agree with you more, meow mix!

Yes, 16 years old seems not the time for marriage, to me  It's the time for "discover" about sex, i guess...he he...

I still remember how i was in that age, i thought i could do any thing, i thought i could "fly as a bird"...many dreams and plans...My ex bf whom i considered i would marry him when i was 18 now is a "stranger" to me, we loved each other to die at that time and we thought disaster would come if we could not get married, we had plan to get married at once after we graduated college. Now what? I have new life, completely different life after my teen ages passed over. Changing hormones and everything seems affected to your mind, your behaviors also! My advise is very simple: " Think everything all over again and make your own decision, you will be to be responsible for it the rest of your life". Wish you the bright life with the man whom you love and you would never have to say "I regret"!

You can go to the US with K3 visa though (fiancee visa is too risky)

  3. Hope you can figure it out and set up your work to be with her in the interview day then take her home. I notice that the percent for a successful interview will gain more if you accompany her in that day. Try your best and GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

  4. On the DS156 form, there is only one square for sticking the portrait so two DS156 forms means 2 portraits. Why do they require us 4 portraits as in the packet 4 noticed? Can you explain to me? We bring two more separated portraits for them?

    Thanks for your information!

  5. Yeah..... Just want to say congratulation again to you :innocent: I notice that COs like people who can speak English well. I came to the Consulate to pick up my packet 4 couple days ago and yes, i saw many blue slips also. Some of them whom i talked to told me that they could not speak English well and needed translator. People in the Consulate in that day were very nice to me also. Hope i can feel the same in my interview day in 18 days :D I went to get vaccination this morning, it was horrible and i know i should prepare for one more "nightmare" at Cho Ray hospital in few hrs (i am at the office and working now, will fly to there at 7AM when i finish work and hope i would not be the last person though). I'd prefer to get the health test in IOM but they gave me appointment at 9th (i consider it is a bit "late" for my health test expectation), so i choose Cho Ray then. I will cross my fingers for all of my "partners" on the K journey to pray for our successful interview at last!!!!

Thank you for your much help here

PS: Also, please show me how to post a nice time line follow with this post? I tried my "my signature" but i got error which said "too long signature"...is there any better way for this process? Thanks and don't laugh at me :P

  6. Hello JV,

To all of people who have experienced your interview day already, i would love to know if the portraits (5x5 cm) are glued on the duplicate DS156 forms or we keep them separate?

Thank you and God bless you all for people who have not taken the interview yet!

  8. I am setting up our pictures for the interview, we have a lot of pictures which need to be noted. Can i bring the small photo albums which fit the glass window at the HCM Consulate in my interview day? I have been told that they do not let us bring photo albums there, i think that is only for the big ones. Need your adivse from whom have been experience this process.

    Thank you very much!

  9. I notice that almost 100% couples here who have their fiance accompany with them in the interview day get Pink Slip?!???? Very good evidence to show the CO that we are really in love and care about each other if we are both together in that day. If any thing bad happened, we would deal with it together Congratulation!!!!!!

We will get PINK next, guys who have interview day in March,

  10. I am not sure about this case, there must some way for you to redo your BC, i think. But i am pretty sure that you will not be able to get visa granted if you do not have you BC at the interview. They might give you green slip to ask for supplying that paper. Hope you can figure that out before your interview day.

    Good luck!

  11. Yeah, my fiance will be here with me in March for my interview, his sixth time in two yrs, we confirmed the lawyer, they said yes, it would help much for the sucessful interview although they are responsible for my visa issued and responsible to be representative at the court if the worse thing happened; our last decision that he will be with me in the interview date (i just met him last X mas and Western New yr for 10 days and now we have to spend his last vacation days for my interview though ). We will get pink all

    God bless you!

  12. Re-do and re-do forms. If they'd allow us to save & retrieve it might be a little less annoying.

re: 33 ( intend to study ). This form is used for other applicants - not just for K-1, so I plan on saying NO to keep it simple. Once she has the green card I dont think its an issue.

re: 39 & 40. Of course we help. But I'd say no because I think this field is intended for use by an attorney or paid professional , not for help from us. Main things is she understands the fields. I actually plan to JPG a picture a screen shot so she does it herself that ways it really is her not me.

( Unless I can be by her side before the interview and help fill it out - it takes many eyes to get this stuff right )

Fine difference, but I am confident the intent is for some one who cant read or subcontracts the application as in a lawyer.

    Your take on it ?

Well, for me i put no on all those questions. I want to keep it simple. Andrew, you can have her practice on those form but i refer we do it here for them and print it out. Cuz, in vietnam not alot of people got access to the printer and print out. So i guess, best that we did it for them and print it out and send it back there for them. Hey, i am going back in Feb 9. Do you want me to bring some of the paper work back to her for you?

We sent out the package 3 in December 14th 2006, hope we get the interview date next weeks. Yeah, we are in the same boat. God bless you all!

Also i have a question to you. Do you think it's much better if my fiance is in Vn with me in the interview date?Does it help to gain the chance for the pink slip? We have lawyer in the US who takes care everything for our case. :help::blush:

You should ask the lawyer about this matter. My fiance will come to VN with me one day before the interview date and he will come to the Consulate with me. I only hope he can make me be more confident, he cannot come to the interview with me but at least I see him there with me, I miss him too much. It depends on each case status, I cannot say surely about your case.
