hey guys i want to inform everybody who is going tru the NVC thing too.(cr-1). They mailed the ds-230 on the 12th of January and received it yesterday.. I was kinda waiting for that knowing that they have already mailed me my checklist for cr-1 finally. I thought and was worried it got out of hand already thank God i have already sent in all the documents back to NVC..(ehehh why is it everytime they send the papers there is this kind of threath like.?. IF YOU DO NOT RETURN OR FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE YOU A DELAY...Good thing... im scared...and i hope it will goes well with my papers.Good luck to everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmmmm really interesting huh?! Im also got confused with that 230-I? was that from US embassy here in the philippines? I got packet 3 already on 01.26.07 it's 2 pages. and on the 2nd page there's a checklist of documents should i bring on interview. Im just wondering if would received same latter as yours?!

hi annei i think what you are referring to is the pre interview notice that is for k3 you need to bring those written in the second page.. i got that one too last week...Hmmmm but if it is checklist it means that you gonna receive your ds-230 soon and that is for I-130 or CR-1. Good luck!

I just got informed by reading a few topics here on VJ and other forums about I-130 procedure.

What the...?

I'm surprised and concerned at the same time cause I got my final interview on the 23rd January and at the same day I got my visa with brown enveloppe included.

Does this mean I am very lucky or should I worry that I might have trouble when I arrive at the POE?

hi boo! we had the same reaction as i received that checklist letter response, you're gonna received it once your DS-230 has been delayed..i mean you haven't received it yet. I just ignore it..until now have my copy of it.. but i just keep it. anywho, i have submitted all the required docs wid the DS-230 forms part I & II.

but to be sure..u can call NVC..and i did also before but they said ignore it and the application is on its way..

PS. when you receive your DS-230 packet..there's a separate barcode sheet attachment as a frontpage when submitting all the required docs.

hi louiejane.. so meaning to say.. i cant send in my papers and documents not until i have my packet from them? Is their form different from the downloadable forms in the website? i have all my papers and documents ready..And in checklist there is one barcode sheet included. Hi Jazzy,

I saw on your timeline that your wife's CR1 interview will be on 02-08-07. Do we need to prepare again all the documents we send to NVC to bring with us for the interview? Or the beneficiary receives it on the interview package?

Hi,

The benificiary should get back any originals at the time of the interview. However, you should bring original copies of EVERYTHING to the interview as they may ask to see them.

hello jazzy.. i have a question for you. I received the checklist response today and there is no forms included there only the barcode sheet. Does it mean that i will have to wait for the form (ds-230) from NVC or packet before i can send those papers and documents to them. I hope this helps you, and others,and I will add more information as I get it and it is all correct.

No Guess work, no issues, everything is as NVC has directed. I spent a long time on the phone confirming the information due to conflicting information in the past, or differences in countries. This information is all correct for the Philippines, and some of it will help others if they wish. But I hope this helps you out, and others who may go there and check it out.

My IV Bill was generated on January 1st and we still haven't received it! My understanding is that once something gets generated, they don't actually mail it out that same day.

Hopefully we both get some good mail soon - I'm thinking in the next week for sure. I think it was Our Mao that had the IV Bill mailed out December 25, and didn't receive it until January 15.

hello VJ members.. my husband called the NVC and asked the status of our I-130 the operator told him that the check for IV bill has been cleared and mailed my ds-230 on January 5, 2007. Im a bit worried coz up to now i havent receive the packet yet. I usually receives mail within 11 days.. I hope this is just another backlog holidays ....Does anyone receive their packet not on time? Is there any reason for that? Any comments and replies will be appreciated.....

For those beneficiary/s in the PHILIPPINES..where did u took the photo ID for your form DS-230 part I?

I am having a hard time looking for a studio who can follow the photo instructions in the packet . Darn! I already have visa photo ID's taken but i am not satisfied with the outcome..

If I may ask, you say you cannot find a place that will follow the instructions in the packet. Does your packet say that Passport photos are needed? My Instruction packet has nothing saying that passport photos are needed anywhere in it. Itried calling NVC to ask if photos are needed, but never got thru. Are you sure you need photos now, and not at the embassy interview? I guess i am confused with you saying your packet saying they are needed for NVC

you need passport photos to be paste/glued on your DS-156 during your visa interview. You need two because you have to submit 2 copies of DS-156. They will not let you in if your forms dont have pictures.

Yes I understand that, but are the passport photos supposed to be sent to NVC with the DS-230 packet, or brought to the interview with the electronic print out? I never received anything in the packet saying to send pics with the ds-230, what did yours say?

For what Ive understand, no need to send your passport photos to NVC. you just need 2 passport photos for first filling to USCIS then pictures for your DS-forms during the interview. I hope I didnt mess up things there .

Just as I had suspected, as I thought I had called NVC and asked them that specifically. I just dont want some one else to read this post and think that passport photos are needed at NVC. Now that I think about it, I think I was worried about that and called them. So now I have saved the entire DS-230 packet in a file, and no passport photos are needed. So if you run across anyone else who needs to see what is in the Ds-230 packet for the Phil's I have it saved in a word file. Ths DS-230 form is not there as it is a PDF file, but the entire packet I have witht the instructions, cover letter,.... everything. Thanks for reassuring me on that. God Bless and thanks again. We are on day 18 today and our e-mail said it will be 2 to 4 weeks until we receice a reply as to being complete or not. So I hope in the next 2 weeks we will be done, but I am not holding my breath. hi BOO. oh im glad to know you are from Pasig. By february we might go there in pasig. Im from cebu. I really hope that i ll get the phacket soon. I have everything prepared,except for my police clearance. I asked louiejane 2903 if she sent NBI only or police clearance and NBI and she said she will send both. What about you? did you already file for your NBI? will you also send both? My problem is: i worked overseas for two years and i know they will ask for my police clearance during those time. I have one, but i got it on 2004. I dont know if they will honor that. If not then ill just get a new one when i go there in manila.

as for the appointment for interview and medical..some get lucky..in less than 2 months they got a letter from the embassy. and some are bound to wait much longer ...i already prepare myself for the worse: (maybe up to six months.. ) its really case to case basis...

during my sister's time(2001) : it took them only 6 months from the submission of the I-130 to the release of the spouse visa. Back then the flow of the processing isnt this slow and complicated.

hi filipinawife so nice to hear that you will be visiting Pasig i hope you will have good time. Yes all documents are ready for submission.. I have my BC(nso), my MC (nso) annulment(nso), Police clearance, NBI and my colored zerox of my passport biographic page all now is lucking is the DS 230 from NVC and as soon as i get that they are ready to send in back to them. I suggest that in my own opinion,, you should get a new police clearance the country you worked before just to be sure just in case they might need it. I wish and pray everything will turn out posstive for all of us.Good luck and i hope you keep me posted too.

hi louiejane2903.im happy for you. im waiting for my DS-230. I called the NVC and they said that they already sent the said Phacket . in my calculation i should be getting it by now but i guess there is delay in the delivery of mails because of the holidays. I also have the same question as yours. As what ive observed in other's cases , after the submission of the DS-230 it usually takes like a month or two for them to review and check everything , before they will forward the case to the US embassy in the country you are in. as in our case ( as we live in the philippines), it will be in the US embassy in manila. when the case is already in manila they will send an appointment letter as to when is the medical and interview gonna be. Some got appointment letter within 2 months some even up to 4 months or even longer than that ...and that i wonder how they will assess each case ....

Hello..like this thats time i really need to go back to my work, im working in Brunie as a Sale's lady...we just talked online everyday and when i went back home for vacation he really dont want me to leave and asked me to stay here and he told me that he will come here and we get married no matter what just for me to stay here...and thats it he filed vacation and come here..but tht the time the divorced paper is already signed by his ex the only thing he do is he did not file it right away cos he is visited here.

hello shamar!!! did you or did not file the first marriage to NSO? coz if you did filed it.. that would be a big problem. it will appear on their data base for your CENOMAR..and everything will be complicated.. and to the fact that your hubby lied on his status before better sis ask somebody who has real knowledge on your situation( to be sure)Good Luck!

mine were never trasferred till it gets its approval on Dec 26, 2006.. Our case remained in MSC or NBC and never had a multiply touched also.. well who knows how do they works.. im glad i was approved after 110 days of waiting..

Hi Boo,

Dlebro's delivered my fiancee's visa to a small province in Cebu in only 4 business days.Even in Manila it could be 7 days so i consider us lucky and I think Delbro's is doing a much better job now than in the past..they also have a text hotline that you can text to and if you go to their website they also have a tracking system..if you put in you case# that is on your Delbro's reciept you can see when the embassy relased it to them for delivery and if its out for delivery.I hope this helps and widh you the very best in your new life with the one you love..I still have to wait until march 21st before I can go back and get my babygirl..the reason is that the CFO wouldnt give her the sticker until her 18th b-day which is on the 21st of March..so im just trying to count the days and be strong until we can finally be together forever..its hard,very hard to be away from her but I know it is only making our love and apprication grow stronger for ech other.Take care and treat each other with all the love and care in your hearts,
