I think both efforts - clarity in a respectful and supportive manner - are possible.

emekus94 - The tone of your posts read as a little condescending and accusatory. This is an incredibly complex process that we are all trying to navigate. Let's try to keep this forum as supportive and positive as possible.

Hello! We also have good news - we were approved on Friday 5/18 at the interview and I just checked the CEAC status this morning and it says issued.
Do you mean it took 10 days for your status to change to 'Issued' or to physically receive the passport back, etc? Just wondering how long ours might take to be in hand.

Long time, no see! Just a small update.
Matt is currently in London, spending the night as HIS INTERVIEW IS IN 12 HOURS.
I'm going to be driving myself absolutely mad until I hear from him again in the morning. But decision day is practically here!

Did you discover any reason why your case was in transit for so long? It seems like most people on here only take 3 days.
Mine has been a week now! Maybe the London embassy only accepts cases in batches or something?

Thank you! That is very helpful. Best of luck with your process! Fingers crossed.

I realize it is minor is comparison to the rest of this entire process but it does matter. 3-5 months (or more!) of being financially dependent on a spouse can have a negative effect on a relationship. I believe in an equal partnership and this will be challenging.
It'll be worth it in the end but my point is that I feel like I keep thinking things are progressing and then I find out that there is just another waiting process to look forward to.
I'm sorry to be a downer. I just want to start my life with this person and there are so many hoops to jump through. This is not an easy thing for any relationship to be tested by.

Hello! - I have been following a couple threads for months now and this is my first time posting.
I received our case # today from the NVC and hopefully it will be sent to the London embassy soon.
What really got me down today is realizing that my fiance won't be able to work legally in the US upon entry for 3-5 months after submitting the I-765. I totally understand that a part of this process is to prove I can support him financially but I can't believe I missed this detail until now. I can do this but I must say, they really make this whole process nearly impossible, don't they?
Pouring a glass of wine now and hoping this will all be over one day....
