Visa approved today!!. Quick interview review:

    Embassy: Buenos Aires

The consul was super friendly, everything went smoothly and fast.

I chose to do the interview in english as im very confortable speaking it, but Spanish was an option if i wanted to.

He asked 3 basic questions like what does my F do, when was the last time we saw each other and when did we meet.

Then he said, "I would normally ask for more questions but ive seen your photos and i can tell your relationship is legit. Congrats!"

So happy its done! if your relationship and love is real theres nothing to worry about. THere's no need to stress. You dont need to "practice", as suggested in other blogs.

Its all things you should know about the person you are about to marry. JUst be yourself, and smile!

Now time to book my flight!

Hello, quick question, did they require any sort of police certificate in addition to the “Certificado de Antecedentes Penales”? My fiancee has her interview in seven days and is stressing that she missed something. She is curious if they are the same or different papers. Thank you so much, and congratulations on your approval!!

Mine too -- that's all I know.  But the fact that you're dialing option 5 and have been waiting even longer than me, whereas others with receipt days FAR after ours already have case numbers, tells me that the new system sucks and that people had best hope they aren't part of the option 5 group.

I am holding out hope that it will make its way to the embassy faster once completed. Fingers crossed!

  3. I have a question, for the interview it says "MARRIAGE ENTRY issued by the Civil Registry. All married persons or previously married people are required to present a certified copy of their marriage entry. Certificates of marriage from the U.S. MUST be original certified long-form copies from the Office of Vital Records from the state where the marriage took place. No other marriage certificate will be accepted as proof of marriage in the U.S."
I was married, now divorced (I am the petitioner, btw), Do I need to submit that to my fiancee or is it something she would bring were she previously married? Thank you.
