-Sent the i130 2 weeks ago.

-Received NOA1 today WAC (California Service Center) the most slowest one :(.

-So slow that it's still processing 2016 forms :( :(.

    - Anybody can educate why they chose California when i live in East coast? Was expecting Vermont :(

    - Time to just wait i guess and be hopeful that they will change the center or speed up the process!

California, processing time Nov 2016 still

Thats very odd, california don’t do many I-130s these days. I’m not certain how the system works but it definitely isn’t on location. It is possible to be re-transferred (I think) which if you can you probably will in this situation, try not to worry!

    Good Luck

Me either! That was certainly my thinking when I saw how far behind they are and how many petitions they were continuing to send there. It seems as though they do the most petitions out of all of the service centers.

Im soo desperate to get vermont, I was under the impression I would because my wife is in Rhode Island too bad it doesn’t work like that lol

I wouldn't be massively worried, the form i-130 is quite difficult to mess up, also you need to account for president's day so there will be a small back log and like you say phoenix is a bit slower than chicago

I have also heard of people not even getting an email notification of NOA1 and just having to wait for the hard copy that takes a little longer. Even with form g-1145

Yea I did I even made sure to place it as the first document they see when they open it. I really hope I do hear back because they say If you don’t hear back within the first two weeks it means something was wrong with the application and they are sending it back and that can take up to two months. This would take time away from the process in itself

I did the exact same thing and was able to see who signed it. I didn’t want to leave it up to chance as to no knowing if they got it or the lengthy days of it getting there so I paid it to be overnighted. They received mine on the 13th of February and have yet to hear anything. Really hoping to get my NOA1 by at least by this Friday.

I would be very surprised if it didn't come by then, it's usually under a week so its definitely due, although sometimes people don't get the e-notification and have to wait for the hard copy, did you fill out form g-1145?

  6. Hi everyone,

I am from the UK planning to go and live in the USA with my wife (american by birth) who is already living there. She is currently unemployed as she has been between america and the UK to see me, will this be an issue on my application as my co-sponsors (her mom and step-dad) earn way over 100k per year, it is likely my wife will have a job after we send of I-130 but I was wondering if they will even consider the application on that basis.

    Thanks in advance

You won't need to apply for adjustment of status. This is for those people who travel to the states on a different  visa and then had to adjust their status to the immigrant one. So this is yes, to that statement that you wrote. You won't apply for AOS but you will apply for an immigrant visa at the us embassy in London. Petition i-130 is not a visa yet. The visa process will start after the petition gets approved. I hope I explained it clearly

yes, i totally get it now, thanks so much for the help!

I don't quite understand what you mean. She needs to fill out her and your information and send it. Where it asks about address she write her current address and your own current address in London if it is what you meant

On the form that is a section that says: The beneficiary will not apply for adjustment of status in the United States, but he or she will apply for an immigrant visa abroad at the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate in..

is this relevant to my case or should I leave blank/ put N/A. Sorry for the confusion!
