  1. Interview approved yesterday!

The lady consul was very nice. She even approved our request for visa pick-up. And before we got home after the interview, the USE Manila called us to inform that our visas are ready for pick-up today. I never thought that this would happen so fast. Thank you very much Lord, and to all of you who prayed for all of us interviewees, most especially to Rina, Prettyfacenbody, and J&E. To those upcoming interviewees, don't stress yourself too much, as long as you know your petitioner really well, there's no question that you won't be able to answer. Just keep on praying... :innocent::thumbs:

  2. Congrats AUREA!

Sis Rina, I have been approved. The Consul asked me 5 questions and bingo!, He told me, Your Visa has been approved and welcome to USA. The Pre screener didnt asked me for BC,MC,NBI, and police. Pictures were asked though. I didnt asked for Visa Pick up. I was too hungry too think about it. All I wanted at that time was food, foood foood..... foooooooooooooooooooooooooood. :D:lol: Anyway, I'm hoping to receive my Visa soon... THanks to Visajourney and the members who helped me a lot during the process. Special thanks to you Sis Rina...for being patient in answering my queries and for being so supportive and specially for being a friend. And I would like also to thank JAYZAR (jyz) for she has helped me alot during my Medical at St. Lukes. She patiently waited for me till I finished my Medical. thaks to sis Lhedy also.

  7. My case was completed october 12, 2007. until now, i am not given interview date. iand still waiting. im pretty sure that i will not be included anymore this coming November. It has been discussed here that normally scheduling are done every second week of the month. i justed wanted to know how many, if any, in VJ are already scheduled for December interview.

    Thanks!

    hi prettyfacenbody...

Ours was completed October 17, 2007. My husband called the NVC and he was told by the operator to call up again by the 3rd week of November, cos we are most likely be scheduled for a December interview.

  8. I am preparing the forms needed for the nvc to get i-130 for my wife and daughter.

since I filed i-130 for each of them I anticipate I will have to fill out the ds-230 for each of them (or do they get combined at some point?).

If I fill out a ds-230 for my daughter, does she sign it even though she is only 15 years old?

Your natural parent signs the child's forms in their behalf if the child is too young to sign their name. Otherwise, the child signs. My step-daughter was 17 when she received the visa. Nobody signed any papers in her behalf. Yes, the child will need all the same forms the parent needs all the way through the CR1 process. With the exception of the petition package itself, the same is true for K visas. K2 and K4 have no individual petition or G325a initially.

Cool thanks So I will have the Dad sign the 11 year old and the 15 year old sign his own. I will call once they generate it to be extra sure and let everyone what NVC says, however sometimes you get a person who is a little clueless :)

We have the same situation. NVC told my husband (US Citizen), that the US Citizen parent is the one who will fill up and sign the DS-230 in behalf of the minor child (our son is 2 years old). What my hubby did, is, filled up and signed the DS-230 with his own signature and write the word "(by father)" beside his signature.

  9. Hi RandyandRina... Aurea...

Did you submit the documents and the DS-230 in 2 separate envelopes inside the return envelope that came from the NVC?

Or did you put it together (docts and DS-230) inside the return envelope?

I just heard from a forum friend that she did the former, how did you submit yours?

    Thanks...

  10. sure no probz.....NVC received my DS230 today...i hope everything is fine with my documents. feel free to ask whatever concerns u have.

    Thanks Aurea!

I believe one really need to submit the NBI Clearance as well as the police clearance from the city where he lived in.

I finally found the reason why NVC also needed the police clearance from the city/ locality aside from the NBI clearance

    from travel.state.gov:

"Posts are advised that not all arrests and convictions occurring outside of Manila are reported to the NBI. "

  11. hi randyandrina,

Thanks for the info.I feel relieved. I guess i really have to call the NVC to confirm what they really need.

    Thanks again.

    aurea

    hi aurea...

we're also gathering the necessary documents for the DS-230. Please update me about this matter as soon as you have called the NVC. My hubby will also call them this week. Thanks and God bless...

  12. If you are applying for AOS yes you need to include that in your packet. You can check my website in the signature, I have the list of the documents we submitted for AOS and EAD and so far NO RFE and done with my biometrics.

thanks for replying princess_sutil... I check your site, and the page tells that the url does not exist.
