Need help please! (Please reply only if you have some solid knowledge about this)

My situation:

                I received my 10 year green card before my I-751 case was transformed from joint filling into divorce waiver. I don't know why my attorney was waiting until the last minute to inform USCIS, but I have a feeling that there was some strategy that they do not want to reveal to me because they knew that my adjudication time was coming, and they haven't informed USCIS for 6 months. Now my attorney is saying that we have to ask USCIS to reopen the case, revoke my GC and go through divorce waiver process. Otherwise, I might have problems when applying for citizenship.

Has anyone heard about a case like mine? I have never heard of GC being revoked, and even my attorney is saying that he has not had a case like this before. I do not trust my attorney any more because it doesn't sound right to me, so I am asking you all for help. (Again, I am not interested in opinions. Only facts, knowledge, or previous experience please)

Yes, about two weeks before I received my GC. I thought my attorney informed USCIS about my divorce months ago, so I was expecting RFE, but received GC instead.

Yes, you are correct. But if you change your case from joint to waiver right before the interview or after, you will not be able to get the divorce decree on time.

Thank you, but it looks like AOS interview process is a little different than ROC

Right now we are registered under one address, but if I initiated divorce we would separate.

So if my jointly filed case gets denied at the interview because of absence of my spouse when I am still married, can I refile i-751 with divorce waiver, then initiate divorce and send the divorce decree later when I receive RFE?

We are still married, and we are trying to work things out, but I just want to be aware of the scenario in the case where the relationship goes to (removed) right before the interview. 

What are my options if my spouse decides to not show up at the interview and my i-751 jointly filed case is denied?

Can I resubmit a divorce waiver case? Or is the game over?

Does it matter which spouse serves the divorce papers? Does it make it easier to get approved if USC serves the papers?

Maybe they used your biometrics from AOS? Are you VSC or CSC? And was your case transferred twice like most of us? Any info you can provide on your case will be very helpful.

What happens if the start the divorce process a month before adjudication? Do I refile and get another year? 

I am in a situation where I submitted ROC documents jointly with my wife two months ago. I had a discussion with my wife that we will eventually have to get divorced because the marriage is not working out. We are about to start marriage counselling just to know that we have tried everything. I still have a long wait until ROC adjudication, so I know that I can transform my current application into I-751 waiver application if we start the process of divorce. However, if after 10 months my wife decides that she wants to start the divorce process(which leaves a few months until adjudication of ROC), and I must refile i-751 with a divorce waiver, does my timeline renew and I wait for another ~18 months? Or am i obligated to finalize divorce in the remaining few months plus 87 days that they give extra? Is it safer to start the divorce process right now or is there no difference?
