Thank you for this information. Nurse said i will be treated for 10days if really+.
Hey guys, anyone who have gone through with syphillis? how many days/weeks it has been treated? I dont mind about visa delays as long as it will be cured and no issue when entering US soon.

You'll have to undergo treatment before the visa can be issued: https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/syphilis.html
They always double-check since sometimes there are false-positives: "False-positive nontreponemal test results can be associated with multiple medical conditions and factors unrelated to syphilis, including other infections"
Thank you for this information. Nurse said i will be treated for 10days if really+.

Good day. I had my medical yesterday and the nurse told me that the blood test shows I am + for syphillis. they told me to come back maybe to get new blood samples again. My interview will be September 19.
The nurse told me they will give me treatment for this once another test will show +. My question is, can this be a reason for visa denial? once you have history? or visa will be issued later on once you are cleared?
and once issued for example, will you be allowed to enter US since you have history of this? I hope someone can enlighten me specially those who have have gone through this.
Thank you.

Hi I went for my first interview in May. These are my interview questions. I'm 23, self employed running a business for 4 years. I travel 2-3 times a year with a good travel record including UK and Australia. Went to US last year under J1 never overstay. All my family members are here with me.
My DS160 was screwed during first time because I didn't know I need to put self employed. Set travel period 2 months with self financing.
Why do u want to go to USA
- For visitingHow long do u want to go
- two monthsSo you're graduated but unemployed?
- I am doing an online businessWhat kind of business ? What do u sell?
- I sell clothes, bags, shoes and beauty productsHow long have u been doing it?
- 4 yearsWhere do u get your stocks from ?
- chinaWhat is your monthly income?
- three to four thousands (in my currency MYR)(I have two bank accounts. She only reviewed the one with lower balance)
Do you have a business model?
- no because order when the customer place order. What is your monthly income?
- three to four thousandSorry I can't proceed your visa under 214(b).
I went for my second interview after one month. This time I put 17 days duration, parent financing, self employed under business and traveling with a friend. These are my questions.
I see you have failed a visa before?
- yes as I did not provide sufficient evidence to support my statement for the first time.(I forgot the question)
- I am planning to travel on the 18/7 to 3/8 with my friend to sfo,la and San Diego. This is a copy of my friend visa... (she immediately said "NO I don't want to see your friends visa. This is about you not your friend. I want to know about you")You have changed you travel duration? (Previous 2 months now 17 days)
- yes I'm planning to travel from 17/7 to 3/8 for 17 days in sfo, la and San Diego. How has your situation changed?
- I have a business event to attend in August to China and a few business activities for the next 6 months. I am also traveling to china next year in march with my family. I brought my flight ticket. She typed a lot on the computer and said sorry she couldn't give me a visa. I asked why, she said because there's no significant change in my profile.
I asked what kind of changes should I have. She said changes like getting married or getting a masters degree. I replied "but I'm a self employed. What can I change"
she said "your financial show a low balance last time"
i told her its because i didnt get to present during my first time but i brought them with me now. However she said it's over because I didn't present it during the interview.
I would like to try for the third time. Is financial changes a changed? She only saw a balance of $1000 during my first interview (I have 2 acc, only review 1)
But now I have approx $7000 balance, $12000 fixed deposit and an investment in equity fund. Didn't not present during my second interview as I was focusing on business plan and family ties.
What are my chances? Any advice please.
Hello there... we have the same situation I was denied twice last July 2017 applied in Jeddah and last Nov 2017 in Manila during my annual vacation. Here is my background.
First application-Jul 2017
Traveled-Singapore, Turkey & Hongkong
Second Attempt: Nov 2017-during my annual vacation and again denied with the same slip given to me.
Traveled: Dubai, France, Belgium & Netherlands.
At this time, I have a valid Japan Visa (Unused), UK Visa (to travel on April 2018) and Canadian tourist Visa (To travel by July or Aug 2018).
During interview, I was like 90% confident bcoz of the current visas that I have. but to sad to say that the CO just get my passport and put only in his table. He never bothered to open it to see or open my passport. I was really disappointed. I would totally understand if he won't ask my supporting docs as this is usually happens but my passport only lying in his table, OMG i feel it was unfair...
So I have decided to try on my 3rd times after I will visit UK & Canada nextyr and will apply maybe by sept or oct. Hopefully, both of us can get B2 visa in our next application.
I am an OFW in Saudi Arabia for 5yrs now...

Hey there. I am sorry. I should have been more specific.
I am here in Qatar and in our application, we placed my address here. I was just wondering how long will our petition be delayed if I go back to the Philippines.
Or should I just wait for the NOA2 before I go back to the Philippines.
Hi..im not an expert to this but since you have started the application in qatar, better to wait until everything is completed before leaving Qatar for good...

then get one before you leave as after you go, you can't as our Morocco friend said "he worked in Saudi 4 years and they would not give him a clearance as he was back in Morocco"
I think the smartest way is to get before leaving...if you are already in home country, then it must be very difficult..

I can not answer the question but i did find out something that you may need to know
If middle east means Saudi, Saudi does not release a criminal investigation report on a foreigner and this you need for each country lived in for over a year
one of our members could not get this from Saudi and K1 was returned to the US on AP / they went thru a year's wait to get the background check done by Homeland Security
I have no idea about other middle eastern countries but it would be worth your while to find out
Hello.. I just want to clarify.. there are some filipino workers who are in saudi and when they go exit like they will leave saudi for good, they are getting still police clearance and they able to get it.. is it the same police certificate can be use for K1 visa?
if the answer is yes, then we can still also get police cert from saudi..

Hello!
I am currently in the Middle East for work. We have submitted our Petition last August and we received the NOA1 on August 21.
A part of me wants to go back to the Philippines and have the interview there.
I would like to know if it's a smart move to resign and move back to the Philippines and file for a "Change Of Address".
Will this delay our petition?
Should I just wait til we get the NOA2? Or should I just stay here in the Middle East and have the interview here.
Hello Kabayan,
Just my opinion po.. if in the beginning of the process it was chosen to process in Manila, then I think the whole process should be done there like the interview but all I know you need police clearance from Middle east during the interview.. May I ask which country you are now?
For me I don't recommend resigning your work especially that this process will take sometime before final approval.. but if you are just willing to work in Philippines while waiting for the whole process to be done, it will be your choice..

Why try again and insist on a US tourist visa.. being denied twice.. and simply visit other countries you already have visas for?
Hi... thank you... Yes, I will just travel to countries that I have visas already to utilized it before it expires.. the good thing only for US tourist visas once granted is that, they are usually give 10 yrs multiple entry. that is why maybe they are very keen on approving tourist visa..I am reading some denied stories which are more worst than my experienced. I will just wait for the right perfect timing... I will not rush on this..

So why are you interested in a K1?
I am bcoz our plan in my other thread, is to get married in Canada but after reading some comments here most of the members here don't agree with having marriage on the first meeting.. And so we have decided that we will go to the process of K1 right after we met in Canada to prove that we have each seen other as this will be one of the requirements for K1 visa..
I know that it will take time but at least it is in the right procedure and we can do the wedding in the U.S.. First meeting could have been done in US if my visa was approved.. That is why I am pursuing my travels on 2018 to uk & canada and I am thinking to re-apply again for tourist visa by 2019... this will be my last try to tourist visa..

Don’t get insulted, but interviewing (& CBP) officers are trained to look for cues about when people are lying. Judging by what you’ve posted on VJ, you were certainly at least not telling the full story about your intentions for visiting the US, and the CO probably picked up on that. I doubt it’s enough for a refusal in itself, but adds to overall scepticism about the professed reason for visiting. As I said way back bedore I knew all this boyfriend stuff , it sounded like you wanted to look for a job.
Hi..as I already visited asia, europe, middle east and soon UK&Canada.. my main purpose of applying for a B2 is mainly for tourism... Why would I take risk of looking for a job well for in fact my earning here is pretty good? I swear to God.. looking fob in the U.S is not on my vocabulary why I am applying for a tourist visa...
-

No need asking.. pretty obvious.. he's after all on VJ
Dont judge bcoz of it... my concern here in about visa denials in which I am not the only one being denied for an unknown exact reason... Applying for for a tourist visa is our choice...if we can afford to travel or not...

That was said in response to boiler asking if OP didn’t want to live in his own country... if he already isn’t then it’s a good indication he doesn’t want to.
It's not like that... people are living to their home country to look for better opportunities.. it is not true that since people are working abroad, they dont want to live in their own country... OMGGGGG..

I have no idea.
Suggestion: It's his thread. Ask him?
Hi guyz, people are working abroad bcoz of better opportunities.. I guess everyone is aware of it.. many individuals not just Filipinos are in other countries bcoz they are earning more.. its our choice...
So, pls dont think that even if we are not in our home country, we dont want to live there...

LOL... if internet doesn't applies to you, its not our problem anymore.. everything is possible bcoz of internet.. too many things can happen with the help of any social media...

How can you even think about marrying someone you have never even met. Guess some people are just weird.
it can be..some people started their relationship online and when they met, they get married. If you haven't heard such things, its for you to research for couples on their first meeting. my friend got married to her German husband.. they started their love story online, instant chatting always everyday, skype and they arranged their marriage in their meeting and now they are happy living together...
Its not weird..it depends on the couple how their relationship is going and what are their plans together.. there are even arranged marriage when you are a muslim.. that you will just see your husband/wife on the day of the marriage itself.. are you saying it was weird??

You know the deal dude. Saudization is in full replacement mode and each consulate is worried that you're working on an escape to the US and not coming back. Happens a lot, and its getting worse. Good luck.
Thank you.. some of my friend says that, applying from overseas where you are currently working are better comparing to your home country.. but i think all are the same.. we cannot really predict the result...

It is not possible to establish "ties" to Saudi Arabia other than a bank account and a job. It's otherwise one great big human trafficking operation otherwise where your employer even has to grant you permission to leave on a vacation.
Only country I've seen where you need a VISA to leave the country and your employer has to grant permission for it before you can get it. Then they deduct the charge for it out of your salary.
my last application was in Manila..so i thinking to re-apply there again in the future after travels on 2018... I still have more vacation balance in which I can use it during next yr..in addition to my uk&canada plan trip, I may visit some parts in EU which I havent visited last sep2017... after these trips, if still US visa will be denied, I may stop applying anymore to U.S..
I have some friends also here in saudi and they were granted by u.s visa...having same situation as mine.. almost the same yrs in service, single, families in phi and no relatives in U.S... and their travel history is not good as mine.. we can not really tell why we get denied... only CO knows.

Does he know you don’t consider him your boyfriend?
To say this then also say that you would marry him on first meeting is kind of a contradiction.
It might be normal in your country to marry on the first meeting but not in the rest of the world, I only see this in the Philippines, as it seems to be acceptable for online relationships there to do this, and in Muslim countries, for religious reasons.
hi.. we will just met first and getting married is not in our plan anymore.. he will apply for fiance visa after our meeting..

I don't even think that is a "thing"
are you saying that even if we chatted/videocalls for how many months, you will not consider it as relationship? even if you like each other?... we might have different scenarios but pls respect my situation... i m here to ask for opinions but if you are disrespecting my situation, you better dont say anything..
can u define relationship? how it should be started?

If the first two COs suspected something fishy during the two denials, they have notes for the CO on the next attempt.
Explains the desperation to see what the US has to offer..
I might re-apply again after visiting uk & canada in 2018 and by 2019 i am thinking to re-apply again..by that time, there is already more than 1yr gap after two denials.

Hello- for those who got 221g for the original civil docs required from the consul, how long did u wait before ur visa was issued? I submitted the death cert of my petitioner in the embassy last sept27 still no update upto now.
I was interviewed by the embassy sept12 and they kept my passport during that day and they only need original/certified tru copy as marked in the refusal sheet. They said still for review.
