  1. After been denied for more than 10 times on different kinds of visa we applied, a miracle finally came to our rescue and now I got my visa, flew in safely and enjoying our greatest moment, I have a question thou, can one work with his immigrant visa while waiting for social security number and the green card??

Thank you guys for the great support and courage you all have been giving me up here.

    • If they ask you to re-do, then re-do them. However, they won't ask for that many things :) .
    • If they ask for another interview, then attend that interview.
      • They will let you know what to expect but they may not require anything and approve/deny the application

    • Just bring the additional docs. They may not look at them at all but be prepared just in case.

I have been interview the first time we applied which was somewhere 2016 then I wasn’t given the visa all info was transferred to the state for review and asked as to prove why to keep our case active then we did and they approved and now, with the email they did it only said you have been booked for an appointment and also to redo our ds260 but no visa fee

  3. What happens when you case status says administrative process and the embassy requires you to redo medical, police report, passport, passport pictures, marriage certificate and birth certificate, does that mean you have another interview? If yes should I go with additional supporting documents because they never asked. Help please and if there are questions to be asked can someone who went through this to brief me a little bit please

  4. After my interview in 2016 which my visa wasn’t approved, I have had an approval again from the uscis early 2017 and  I got approved again on the 04/10,2018 but my approval in 2017 was sent to nvc and they sent it back uscis and now earlier before my approval we were sent a notice which says NOTICE OF INTERN TO REVOKE and we should tell them about our relationship and how we met and our future plans, I need help specially on this future plans, I have never been to the state so my wife and I have no any specific plans, but rather to study/work and and take care of my baby and the house,

my first question what happens when you get multiple approval? And what will be next?

  5. i recently got re-approval from uscis and they forwarded my case to the NVC but couple of weeks later, we just got a notice saying the NVC has forward our case back to uscis, has anyone ever gone through this procedures similar to my case? If yes what was the response to it? Any good news? Truly this whole visa stuffs is so fascinating, and at some point I feel like giving up on the whole thing, but come to think of it, my heart beat for my queen, and once I backup I feel like half of me is going to dead

This is the DCF section, and if you are a DCF filler you wouldn't be needing to go tru NVC. Our process is basically

Step 1. Petition file their i-130 in the local US Embassy - USCIS department and wait for them to send you an email approving your petition.

Step 2. The USCIS department of the USEM will then turn over your papers to their Immigration department, this is when you wait for your Case number

Step 3. When your case number arrives, you will be given the proper instructions on how to proceed, filing the necessary form online (ds 260)

Step 4. After you do that, you can now schedule the beneficiary's medical examination and get other docs listed in the instructions provided by them.

Step 5. After getting ready everything, you can schedule your interview on your own.

Step 5. Interview process, if your beneficiary pass, they will get the beneficiary's passport and will send it to the mailing address listed in the petition within 2 weeks or less.

Maybe you can screenshot the email they sent to you and the attachment of approval (blurring the important details) so we can further understand the situation.

Or are you not filing via DCF? If so, then this is the wrong section to post this query.

I the applicate went through all that process, I had medical exams, was interviewed at us embassy in my country, and now it sounds like she the petitioner has to have an interview too in united state ? And we don't know where and how? I am the applicate

    NVC doesn't interview

And who does? I am the applicate and she is the petitioner

  7. Finally we heard from the uscis, with half a good news thank God🙏🏾which says at their end my case was approved again, so if we had or have any questions, we should contact the NVC, well currently it sounds like my wife had to have an interview with the NVC at her end, has anyone ever partner ever been through this? If yes, what was the step? Did your partner had to book an appointment or they automatically did and contacted them for that? Was any fees involved? If yes how much? Final part did they requested any documents, if yes what kind, thanks to whoever is reading this and I await for your quick response

  8. I'm sorry I keep posting my stories, but truly, your responses are the only thing that give me strong hopes, that's makes me believe that surly things will change over night, have any of you on here ever had similar problems that am going through? If yes what was the end result and how did you take the case when your ISSUED changed to ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING and later says EXPIRING SOON, is that a common thing to happen? Out of 100 how many percent gets that, can someone come to our aid with a positive answer please, and sure negative if it has to be, and at lease we could work on our weaknesses

  9. After not been able to touch, kiss nor hold hangs with my wife for 2 years, I have truly lose hope that there is never going to be a day that I will wake up in the same house with my wife as she lives in Maine and I live in Ghana, where could one advise us to go, means which country to spend our honeymoon? I chose Mexico but mostly on the united state pages it keep saying is dangerous there, which I know every country is dangerous even America! I don't doubt that!

You need to show strong ties to your country in order to get an approval for your tourist visa. It will be harder but it is not impossible because now you already have the intention to migrate.

Wow, and what could you suggest? Just sit down and wait while my wife goes under too much stress over there, while I manage our non profitable organization

Denial of a tourist visa has no affect on the K-1 process, as long as you are honest and don't lie, that can cause issues.

A lot of us here have dealt with tourist visa denials. We were denied because of his 2 year home rule(was 1 month shy of the requirement), and it caused no issues what so ever when it came time for the K-1 interview.

Ghana is tough as I have seen, but if you are honest and show strong ties, never know, it's worth a shot.

Ghana is truly tough, have you been here? Nor did any of your application here??

  11. Thank you so much for the replies you all gave me, it made me had a good rest knowing that there are great people out that who understand me(us) but I have a suggestion, what about if I try to get a tourist visa, will that mess up any of my work? Will I be given or denied?? Has someone on here ever went through this? If yes, how did you find it, easy or hard?

If a US Senator from your wife's State is making inquiries on her behalf, you are doing all you can do.

The other day, we went through the uscis page together were we got to realized that there is a place where by you can schedule an appointment with that and go meet them, will you advice that the meeting should go on?? And it says on there that, she should bring all supportive documents, but mean while the senator said that give out too much enquiry might sometimes delay cases, any help?

I can give nothing that would be useful as far as the processing. but it must be very very hard for both of you. Are you able to meet on a third country so you can at least be together for a short time ? The processing is out of  all our hands and false hope and words are worse than truth. I am so sorry.

We thought of Mexico, is the only place closer to her,and for her safety, would you advice that ? Or what could you suggest.thank you

  14. I have posted couple of messages and yet haven't had any help, if this website is very helpful as is recommended, I truly need a quick answer before I lose my wife, I have consoled her and given her as much hope that my visa will surly come out with flying colors, bug truly deep down inside me I lose hope too, was at the embassy 2years ago somewhere around November19 had an interview and all my documents was meant to be sent back to one of the department the consular mentioned, we been checking our case status, till it finally said ISSUED, later moved to administrative processing and now expiring soon, what's happening, we been trying to reach the embassy over and over but it takes forever to get a hold of a soul, I emailed them on my side from Ghana, I got a mail back saying it is just an electronic updated and it isn't useful, my wife currently has her state senator mail the embassy on our behave all they say regarding the online case status is, they are not canceling our case, whoever is reading this, whatever advice could you give us, tell me something that at lease when i share with my wife she will smile again please

  15. I was at the embassy in my country last year in November for my interview, but didn't went on well, I was told that my documents will be sent to NVC in the USA for them to suggest about my visa, my wife and I have been going through our uscis website and checking our status the whole time, 12 August it says my visa was approved and printed, couple of days later it says administrative processing, 2 weeks later it says our documents was expiring soon, and everything would be canceled. Can anyone help us,what's happening, does it mean that all our waiting and prayers wasn't answered, I called on for whoever is reading this for a better motivation, and any advice based on experience on what should be done, was truly looking forward in spending Christmas with my family and now we feel like all those dreams aren't going to happen

Usually it takes about 6 months for the case to be returned to DHS.

Once they receive it, they do a review and send you either a Notice of Intent to Revoke (NOIR)/Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) OR reaffirm your case. When they send you an NOIR/NOID, you will also receive reasons why your case was returned. Subsequently, you will have the option to send evidence to rebut the claims of the Consular Officer who interviewed you.

If your evidence is sufficient, they then reaffirm your case and send it back to the embassy with a recommendation to approve visa.

This whole process takes an average of about 18 months. As for the status changes, do not pay attention to it especially when they give you that letter of denial.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the reply, but something strange happen last night, they updated my case saying my case is expiring soon, while I was approve and issued already, what's happening, hope is nothing bad, should I be seriously worried?

  17. I was given a piece of paper after my interview last year in October, that said they weren't sertify of my married and that all docs will be mail back to the department of homeland security and for them to preview our docs and contact us, my wife and I have been going through the uscis webpage tracking out our status, couple of months ago it said issued and my visa is ready to picked up, in 2 to 3 days it changed to under going administrative processes, can anyone tell me what's happen, he they have ever been gone under this stress and what was the result at the end?? THANK YOU
