Hi Everyone,
I haven't seen any updated charts of our Dec.2016 filers for a while, but I think I should report here for my case status.
After 21 month waiting of I 751 ,at the end of Aug. I revived N 400 interview notice. I assume it's a combo interview. So I brought my husband with me to the interview on Oct. 3.
Thanks be to God, we had a nice officer, a young Caucasian guy. He went through I 751 with us first, after that I passed the civic test. The whole interview last about less than 40 mins. Then he printed a form says" Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval." He told us there will be no new green card to produce. I'll just have to turn in my 2 year green card at the Oath ceremony.
It's a long and exhausted waiting for almost 2 years, seemingly endless, Thank you all of YOU here on the VJ for sharing experiences, providing support. The support is imperative for me to come to the victory.

Wow, 2.5 hour drive - mainland is spreadout.. From where I live in Honolulu to USCIS office is 15 min drive (no traffic, if traffic 30 mins). It's in walking distance from my workplace, but I wiil take that big day off for sure. Sadly, I haven't had date set yet.

What they did is just ridiculous, it's so unfortunate that we have to endure all of this. Sadly, there is no way for our customers to file complaint. They can push out the normal process time however they want, 18 ~ 20 months can be called as normal processing time.

Thank you for the new rule link, are they going to send updated I 797 to all the ROC filers with pending I 751 or they only issue new I 797 to filers who filed after 6/11/2018?

Yeah, if this month still nothing, I'm extremely disappointed. We've been waiting for ages, my ROC reaches 19 month waiting after June.

I'm one of the May 1st transfers. I didn't see any update after the transfer. I'm wondering among all of those transferred to NBC, how much percentage got update after that?

I pray we'll hear our N 400 interview scheduled in June. I wished in May, but just got the 2 same old message in May, disappointed. Let's keep each other updated..

Yeah, don't know why we are so unfortunate. My local office change from 8 - 13.5 to 10 - 15 months. I've been waiting my ROC for 18 months. Now the local office pushes out the time for N 400, it's more than frustrating.

It's easy said than done. Immigration anywhere at any level is stressful and it gets to you. This is how it works and in this VJ community, we are here to listen to each other and help each other in the best possible manner. We dont want to think abou it, A process that takes 3 months tops taking 18 months. It Doesnt make sense. Let the man be, he is collecting Data and posting. Im sure he knows when to take a walk when he needs to. 
 
I751 is not low priority when all your documents are expired and you are running around with stamps and pieces of papers etc. it is absolutely not a low priority at all for quality of life.   
 
I could also start guessing that for many anything in the US is better quality, for some it is not. 
 
Relationships are never going to be equal for many people when there is a sponsoring of immigration. This is a natural human behavoir. 
 
There was a case where someone couldnt have a serious heart to heart relationship with his wife about wasting money. Something that can easily develop overtime when trying to deal with relationship that also requires interviews with outsiders like a baby 
 
Everyone has their path and their lives and their relationships and their ways of thinking. 
 
At the end of the day. The agency is not doing its job as it should. Let people fill their voids how they want. 
 
Edit: I just saw your message above that you got approved. THAT IS JUST RICH. telling someone to get a life right after posting you got your card. Telling people to think like you while sitting on the other side of the fence. absolutely rich.   

Go enjoy your approval and stop guessing people’s lives on whats important and whats not. 
 
This is an immigration forum. The gentleman came to post and stayed on topic. And you, brand new out of your approval high, finding it easy to take a walk, proud of being given a “piece of paper”, all of sudden came in here and want to put that feeling in people who havent been approved.

Its not that hard to go to DMV yet again after spending a day out of work just 6-7 months ago to spend another day at DMV when everyone else goes once every 5 years.

man congrants on your approval, if anyone needs to take a walk ans go enjoy his life its you. Let people who still need this sub talk at the topic at hand. 
 
You’re mentality does not work in America. All Human life is important, you can go ahead and think the president is more important than you and there for deserves faster gov treatment for his family than you. America was not built like that. No one is above the law or more important than someone else. I dont want to start talking about how you bringing this mentality of China to the US. This is not a dictatorship. 
 
 

It is stressful, I'm early Dec. 2016 filer. It's stunning to see you are still waiting as I do, I filed for N 400 though. It is kind of frustrating when USCIS is processing cases not in a timely order.

I see, that means your case was transferred to NBC a lot earlier than us, maybe the clerk forgot to key in the update so that system didn't send notification to you.
I guess it supposed to be a notification on I 751 when it moves from NBC to local office later on for us who had our cases transferred in early May.

So when was your case transferred to NBC? And when was it transferred from NBC to Newark? Did you receive any email notification for the transfer from NBC to Newark?

I never got any notification on case transfer to NBC before May 7th.  i got one notification regarding i751 on May 7th that my case was transferred to my local office. May 8th i got a notification for my N400 case that my interview was scheduled.

That was what had me confused intially. It is making better sense now, Thank you.

But the place your case was transferred is NCS. What I tried to distinguish is between N 400 and non- N400 which are all transferred to NBC.

I guess people don't get update notifications when case is transferred from NBC to local office, right? In that case, we will not know when the case is moved to local office only until we receive local office interview notice.

Oh, I don't remember that, I'll check after I get home - I'm at work now. So" to receive letter of explanation before June 2nd" that wording is on the paper transfer notice, right?

Yeah, I remember it's on the online notification means the latest date we should receive the mail notice, which we already did.

Thanks for sharing this, now I can tell what's the difference between the transfer of non-N400 filers and N400 filers. The wording of my transfer notice is "We completed preliminary review..., we transfer your case for a standard part of processing." I guess it's because I filed N 400.
Yours is different, because you didn't file N 400, correct?

Wow, that was fast ! Mine was trasferred on May 1st. I really wish to see my N 400 interview to be secheduled in May, or approval of ROC in May. I guess the later one is less likely due to they tend to combine  2 cases.
