No I even read it back to him and he said it was correct. Maybe the first three letters are wrong g. What determines what those letters are?

Put your NVC case number in there to see its status
"Your search did not return any data."

Tracking number from where, of what?
which website are you trying to check?
Sorry for being vague!!!
I got my NVC case number. I found some site on here to track it but it says "no information can be found" or something.

I got a tracking number but I can't look it up on the site. Is there a reason for this?

Ours was received on the 8th May & we got our case number today - you will most likely get an email with your case number in 2-3 days!
They don't have my email

I didn't really understand what the woman said. My case was apparently received May 10th but they're doing work on it and the embassy will mail stuff.
What the hell does this mean?

I'm calling today. My NOA2 was April 19th or April 20th, depending on if you look online or not.

Also if you go to the the top of this page and click on the magnifying glass/search you can type in "can I give NVC my email" and you will find numerous threads on the topic. Good Luck!
I'm aware that it says the average is 2-3 weeks, however, I was given information different by the actual agent at the NVC, hence my confusion and thus my question.
And my other question was about if it was possible to email them first. I read you can call and give them your email, but the agent said I couldn't do that until after 30 days. This is why I'm asking, because I'm confused.

Scroll up a couple of pages and read some of the other posts. Your questions are ones that are frequently asked so you will find your answers.
With 84 pages, I think it's natural some people can repeat the same questions. I looked and didn't see anything in any relation to what I asked.

I'm not sure I understand.
And also, is there a way to give the NVC your email? I read somewhere you could email them and put stuff in the title of the email to have your email on record but I can't find it anymore.
-
I called the NVC and the guy told me that I should give them 30 days before calling. I thought it only took two weeks?

However, her request for the visa to come to the US for the funeral was denied.
That's disgusting and so sad. Wow.

Have you checked your case on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov? What does it say?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! They said it was approved from that site! Thank you!

Sorry for the double post but you can't edit topics for some reason.
I mailed the RFE, but I checked the case status online and it says "request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed" not received. Is this normal too? Should it say it was received or something?
-
On March 19th, they sent us a request for additional evidence. I had it sent around April 6th, but have yet to hear anything back 16 days later. I heard it takes two weeks to get word back if it got accepted or not, and my own timeline says it would be adjudicated between 4/16 to 4/20.
Is it possible that the evidence I sent never made its way to its location, the California Service Center?
Is such a wait normal?
Am I just overreacting from the stress of the whole process?
Thanks.

Lol why be apologetic? It's understandable to be frustrated.
