  1. What is Advisory on Marriage and how do I obtain that? I went to the PSA website and there's no AOM option. It's one of the requirements for my interview. Is it true that it's only required for those who have previous marriages?

    Thank you in advance!

You have read correctly NVC schedules your interview.  You should have already paid the visa fee to NVC.

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved/step-2-pay-fees.html

And yes you can reschedule your interview date once your case file is at USEM.

    Earlier Appointment Scheduling
If you case file is already at USEM, you could schedule an earlier interview appointment.

"Immigrant Visa applicants who already have an interview appointment scheduled by the National Visa Center (NVC) should refrain from scheduling an earlier appointment through the Visa Information and Appointment Service Center without first checking to make sure Embassy Manila has the physical case file.
While we are happy to accommodate earlier appointments, we are only able to do so when we have already received the physical case file from the NVC. When the physical case file is either still with the NVC or in transit to Embassy Manila, we are unable to grant earlier appointment dates. This is because we need the physical case file to conduct an effective visa interview."

    Scheduling the Interview:
    By Calling (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502.
This service is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers may speak with an English-, Tagalog-, Ilocano-, or Cebuano-speaking operator.
Applicants, agents or petitioners calling from the United States may also use this service by calling (703) 520-2235.

You're welcome. May instruction naman na included doon sa visa packet, follow  na lang. Yung medical pala, you can shedule na when you'll get the P4 . Malapit na yan ☺☺.

    Salamat ❤❤❤

Hehe yes there's one more fee to pay but you have to wait until you have the visa on hand. You can either pay it while you're still there or when you get to the US.

I see. Thank you so much!

That's right. What is the visa fee that you're referring to that can be paid on the same day as the interview?

idk maybe that's it? all this time i'm thinking there is more fees to be paid in person, same day as the interview lol

    Congratulations!!!

I got my P4 (Interview appoinment letter) eight days after case complete though it might not be the same for for everyone.

As for NBI clearance, even though it says in the Interview Appointment Letter that it should be of one year validity it's best to renew it to be on the safe side

8 days!? wow i hope we hear from nvc that fast too 😍😍😍

yes i will renew my nbi clearance just to be sure.

    thank you!

You have to wait until it says "ready" you can then pay the visa fee and schedule your interview. I believe you have to renew your NBI since you had it over 6 months already.

i thought the visa fee  can be paid same day as the interview 😱😱 also, upon researching, i read somewhere that nvc will sched the interview and then it's up to me if i want to reschedule. i'm a little confused on this 😖😖😖

  8. Hi guys! Last week we received an email from NVC saying they received all the requested docs and I'm on queue for inteview. Does this mean our case is complete? I checked the status online and it still says "At NVC".

How long do I have to wait to get an interview schedule? Or do I have to schedule it myself?

Also, my NBI clearance will be expiring in October. I got it November 2017. Is it still acceptable or do I have to renew?

Thank you in advance to those who will take time to answer. ❤❤

NVC usually take at least 30 days to review Documents after  receiving them. add time for the NVC to schedule the interview. you can schedule your medical the same week or a week earlier. It seem like it will be close to may  before  the visa is approve and issue  The visa is good for 6  months from date of medical. If the wedding is in August that will still leave you with 3 months before it expires. If  for some reason you feel you need more time then do what  Hank said and reschedule your interview but don't delay the NVC process. USCIS and NVC are already slow enough.

thank you guys! very helpful 😍🙌

Visa is valid for up to 6 months, tied to the 1st day of the medical.

Rather than delaying NVC, have you thought of scheduling your medical and interview to fit your plans?

From what i understand, after submitting documents and paying fees, and when it's case complete in NVC, they will schedule the interview, not me. Then I will schedule my medical prior to the interview date given. 😅 😅 I'm sorry this is really confusing for us.

Thank you for clarifying the visa validity 😍

  12. My husband and I are thinking of delaying our fees payment and/or submission of AOS and IV packets (is this doable?), reason being is we need to attend a wedding this August. Given that my medical exams goes well, no delays whatsoever (we are prepared with the docs NVC needed) what would be the perfect month we could submit so that when August comes, we can attend the wedding without risking my visa expiring. I'm aware that it's only valid for 3mos upon issue. Also i want to ask if there's a deadline in submitting documents/paying fees.

I hope someone with knowledge of the timelines of the NVC process can help me with this. I am so confused. Thank you so much in advance and God bless 😊

Thanks. Trust me don't wait for the 2 weeks. Call them every day.

My husband called them last Friday, they ask him to call this Friday, so told him no we wouldn't wait till Friday, so he called them yesterday, they told him again to call again next week friday , so I asked him to call again today, and he did! That was when they gave him the case and invoice numbers over the phone.

Yes that's what my husband is doing. ❤❤❤ thank you!!

It took 7 weeks for Texas to send my documents.. they sent it the 23rd it's now February tomorrow and NVC hasn't received anything yet.

Every case varies, but wow this is taking too long. We will start calling NVC next week to verify if they received it yet. Best of luck to all of us ❤ I hope you hear good news very soon  @Henry&Olga don't be sad it's getting closer ❤
