  1. As you quoted what I posted, I received the notification on Feb 14, received the notice in mail on Feb 22
  2. Just got the interview notice yesterday. My interview was scheduled on March 25, at DC filed office (Fairfax, VA)
  3. Your passport is always your valid ID. At the embassies level, your home country passport will be the only ID that will be accepted to apply for foreign visas. At least for Chinese embassy. You'd better check the embassy website out to see what ID they will ask for when you apply for a visa. Sure, you can always bring your combo card and AOS NOA1 had copy as your proof of your legal status in the states. But I think passport is enough.
  4. The combo card can only be used as employment authorization document (work permit) and advanced parole (traveling back to the US), which is not guaranteed though. Only US citizens are guaranteed entry. You are still an alien to the US. If you want to apply for foreign visas, you need to apply as your home country citizen.
  5. Hey guys, just let you know that my interview has been scheduled just now. So here is my timeline: Filed AOS: August 22nd Received: August 24th NOA1: August 30th Bio appointment: November 6th Ready to be scheduled for an interview: November 9th, Feb 12th Interview was scheduled: Feb 14th
  6. Hey guys, good news. My interview has been scheduled just now. 7. Congratulations! So happy for you! And thanks for sharing your experience. That's really detailed and useful. Hopefully my interview can be scheduled as soon as possible.
  8. Just received the EAD combo card in mail It turns out that USCIS didn't use the photo I submitted with application. Instead they used the one taken at biometrics appointment.
  9. I think you can submit an inquiry because it's outside normal processing time now
  10. Which field office are you with?
  11. Not really. NOA date is on the i-797 NOA letter. Received date is the one on USCIS website. I don't know which one USCIS is gong with, so I put both of them here.
  12. Guys, good news!!!! While I am browsing the job hunting websites, I got two emails from USCIS case status literally 5 mins ago. It turned out that my EAD and travel document have finally been approved!!!!!!! Filed: Aug 22nd Received: Aug 24th NOA: Aug 30th Hang in there guys! Yours are on their way!
  13. Sorry to hear that. It was weird that the representative said something about not outside of processing. Even the NOA notice says it might take up to 60 days to receive biometrics letter. I believe whoever he is, he didn't know what he was doing. Well, my experience was not complicated. I called USCIS once before it had been one month since I got NOA mail. The lady on the other side said it could take me up to one month to receive it and asked me to wait. Then after one month still nothing so I called again. This time I explained that it's been a month still nothing. Then he submitted an service request for me and told me the reference number. That's all. He knew something must be wrong, so he didn't ask for more and just went ahead to submit a service request. You should have asked for advice earlier. Well, now you are supposed to call USCIS as soon as possible because they won't approve anything if the fingerprints review is not done. Hopefully this time you'll get someone who knows what he's doing.
  14. Just let you know that I am exactly the same as you except that I am in Washington DC. I received our NOA1 August 24th 2018 and had biometrics done November 6th 2018. Since then, my AOS has updated to “interview ready to be scheduled” and EAD still stuck at “case has been received” with no updates so far. I believe EAD is on its way. Just be extra patient.
  15. Could you update your timeline for interview date after you receive the notice? That would be appreciated. : )
