I got my DQ notice January 2020, I estimate at least another 6 months for them to get to me. How about you?
I am DQ November 2019. They should start now rescheduling DQ August 2019. i guess they will prioritize us to the other categories except IR1 IR2. probably you will get less than 6 months.

Has anyone heard from the Montreal Consulate since President Biden revoked the proclamation?
I have a feeling they weren't ready and it could be weeks before they start processing F2A interviews.
I know some other embassies just started rescheduling cancelled appointments. I guess Montreal will start soon. when is your DQ?

Hey group! Assuming no news as of yet from anyone. I emailed my attorney to ask a question regarding the 60 day pause but haven't heard back yet. Was wondering if anyone here might happen to know.
Is the 60 day 'hold' in processing affecting the back-end work (meaning they're not working on anything), or would it also apply to scheduling interviews, or both? Related to interviews, I'm wondering if interviews could theoretically be scheduled now to take place after the 60 day period is over? Or would they wait for the 60 days to be completed and then start scheduling interviews?
A bit of a technicality I realize, just looking for any glimmer of hope out there...
Thanks, hope you're all well and staying safe!
Hey my friend,
I saw some people from f2a category still getting their petitions approved and also NVC opens file for them. I guess the pause applies for visa issuing stage only. But In reality no movement for anybody from any category so far as visa section of embassies are closed worldwide. Hopefully by end of 60 day everything will be back to normal.
Keep in touch & take care of yourself and around!

No word yet from NVC, but how much you guys wanna bet that the rest of us waiting are screwed with this Coronavirus situation? 😩😷
I guess Canada is in great shape compared with other places. Hopefully nobody will be screwed up. I think next week is your turn to get IL. We should stay positive. Keep us update my friend.

F2A Visa
Priority Date July 20,2018
Docs Qualified: July 31,2019
IL: Waiting
Your PD is 2018 or 2017? If 2018 is your PD, you are lucky if the final action dare will remain current in the next few months.

Anybody help please. My husband is a green card holder and has applied for my spousal visa. We got documentarily qualified on July 31, 2019 and have been waiting for an interview since then. I checked the Montreal visa waiting times and saw that people who got dc on sep 18,2019 got their interview dates already. I cant get a straight answer from NVC or USCIS Montreal. They keep on saying that they send the cases to the embassy as soon as the dates become available. Why is it that people who have been waiting for so long do not get their interview dates? I am just so frustrated as it has already been 2 yrs and 9 mths of us getting married. Can somebody tell me how these interview dates are being handed out. I appreciate any and all help
Hi ,
For F2a category in Montreal it takes around 7 to 8 months from DQ date to get IL. Probably you will get IL next month.

Yes received my today, Jan 28,2020 8:30 am. Long wait but almost over.
Do they require a new criminal record as mine expires Jan 17,2020 ???
Congratulation to you Jamesd. As far as I know, it is valid for one year. You are marginally good, but I would get new one as well handy. if they need, you have it on spot and avoid any delay. Best of luck for you!

Hi guys, I started this thread to gather people on the same category as I do. Initially, I thought that there is only a few of us on the F2A category in Montreal, but surprisingly more people are joining the thread. That is why I always encourage those who are on a different category to start a forum to meet other applicant on the similar category.
I am not an expert at this but to answer most of your questions, based on the sequence of timeline from all the threads that I follow and based on the members that we have on this thread, it seems like Montreal embassy is scheduling the interview dates based on the date the application was DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED not based on the Priority date. The average wait time from the time of the DQ to IL/ID is 8-9 months.
It would be very helpful for all of us if you guys can update us after you received a notification for your interview dates. Please send me a message if you are on F2A category and will be interviewed at the Montreal embassy specifically. Thank you.

Thanks

Expect welcome letter 12-13 weeks after approval. That's the time frame right now.
Did you get yours? When did they approve your petition?
-
8 minutes ago, Youssef1985 said:
Before yours, my approval was 20 May 2019, now 8 weeks, no news from NVC.
I see. But they say up to six weeks after approval NVC should have it. Why is the reason of delay? Is it normal?
