  1. That's very reassuring to hear. I will just take the passport and hope for the best since there isn't a alternative that is available.
  2. We do have copy of his green card and copy of his parents naturalization certificate but no copy of their marriage certificate. You think we should take them to the interview?
  3. I will do that. So far any of the time that a CoC has been requested we have just given passport copy instead and have not had any issues. Thanks for the reply

Hi everyone, I have the interview for N400 coming up and one of the documents they requested to be brought to the interview is the "your spouse's birth or naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship." My spouse derived his citizenship through his parents as he was under the age of 18 when they became citizens. He has a US passport which has met all of the requirements when asked for proof of US citizenship. Do you guys see any issues if we brought his US passport to meet this criteria. Getting a certificate of citizenship takes 1-2 years. Thank you!
