  1. Our passport application timeline. Applied for Passport at USPS (non expedited) Application Submitted: 11/18 Current status: Not Available
  2. This is also our final check-in. Congrats to everyone who has come this far! We officially became US Citizens on 11/14/2023. Our Oath Ceremony was at the Philadelphia Field Office. Kudos to the staff at this office. They were extremely kind and understanding throughout our process (Interviews & Oath Ceremony.) Our Oath Ceremony was honestly lackluster but we're still grateful for this part of the journey to be completed. We registered to vote on 11/15/2023 and had our passport appointments today (11/19/2023) at our local USPS. The appointments went well and now it's the long wait for our passport. It felt a bit nerve wrecking to have to send our original Naturalization Certificates off with our passport application. We expected to send copies along but apparently we'll get the originals back. Thank you for all the support and advice from this community.
  3. I can imagine this is discouraging given the fact that we received our oath ceremony notice within 24 hrs after our successful interviews.
  4. 💥Latest update: Application submitted online on 07/09/2023. Received a receipt notice 07/09/2023. Received a biometrics appointment notice 07/14/2023. Biometrics appointment was on 08/02/2023. Received a interview appointment notice 09/08/2023. (Separate interview dates for husband and wife 24 & 26 /10/2023.) Request submitted to cancel appointments 09/08/2023. (Due to conflict with international trip. Called USCIS customer service to cancel the appointment.) Received 2nd interview appointment notice 09/13/2023. Interview appointment 30/10/2023. (Husband and wife are scheduled together this time round.) Interview appoitment 30/10/2023 - recommended for approval. Oath Ceremony scheduled: 11/14/2023 Our interview on 10/31/2023 went well at the Philly USICIS Office. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Parking was very easy. Upon arrival we had a TSA-style security check. After checking in we were directed to a waiting room on the 2nd floor. My wife and I were interviewed separately by different field offices. My wife was interviewed first. Her officer was unintimidating - professional and friendly. Very straightforward and without issues. My interview was about 15 minutes later. My officer was also professional and friendly. My interview was more intense, but not negative. I expected this as we immigrated to the US based on my work sponsored visa. I changed jobs after two years in the US. A lot of my questions were focused on my work history. Again, the officer was thorough but I never got the impression that he was trying to get my disqualified. Our Oath Ceremony was scheduled for 11/14/2023 within 24 hours after our interviews. Overall a very positive experience. We've already booked our passport appointments for later this month after our Oath Ceremony. Thanks for all the support!
  5. We had the same status update this week, You are approved and can expect to receive your Oath Ceremony date soon.
  6. 💥Surprising update: Application submitted online on 07/09/2023. (Husband and wife are scheduled together this time round.) We were very surprised to receive a new interview appointment within a week from cancelling our appointment. We were told to expect the new interview date to be 1-2 months out. Our new appointment date was scheduled 4 days later than our original date and works perfectly for us. I'm grateful for the agent who is performing their work diligently.
  7. Yes - so our 5 year Anniversary will be October 7th, 2023. We received our Interview Notice before we reached our actual anniversary. However, our interview date is set for after our 5 yr anniversary.
  8. Unfortunately, we did invest a fair amount of money in this trip with flights, visa costs, and accommodation. We made peace with rescheduling our interviews. In the long run it will not do us any harm. At this time staying in a hotel for a few nights is not the best option for us due to a couple of circumstances.
  9. Here's our latest update as from this morning... We submitted our applications online on 07/09/2023. We received a receipt notice on 07/09/2023. We received notice that our biometrics appointment was scheduled on 07/14/2023. Our biometrics appointment was on 08/02/2023. This morning we received a notice that our Interviews are scheduled at the Philadelphia office. Unfortunately, they scheduled my wife and I 2 days apart on 24 & 26 October. This is not ideal because we have a 3 hour trip one way to get to Philly. On top of this the dates fall over an international trip we booked a few months ago and we can neither change nor get a refund for our family's tickets. I called USCIS customer service this morning and they've cancelled our appointments and put us back into the scheduling line. The agent said we should expect our interviews to be scheduled in November or December. It sucks that we have to do this but it's our only option right now.
  10. Thanks for the response. Our 5th year anniversary is 7th of October. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  11. Anyone got some insights on this? We became eligible to submit our N400 at the 4yr 9months mark. We filed the same day we became eligible. We've already completed our biometrics. Should we expect our interview date to be stalled till after our official 5 yr anniversary in the US or do they schedule interviews before you've reached the official 5 yr mark? TIA
  12. Our biometrics was last collected in 2018 when our GC were processed. I believe this is the reason we had to get our biometrics processed again.
  13. We went for our biometrics appointment today at the York, PA support office. This office is very well organized. We arrived 15min prior to our appointment and joined the line at the door. They opened the doors promptly at 8am and we completed processing within 15 minutes. They even have a play area for kids which was very helpful because we had our 2 & 5 yr old with us. Our application status is now in review as we wait for our interview appointment.
  14. Here's our latest update. We submitted our applications online on 07/09/2023. We received a receipt notice on 07/09/2023. We received notice that our biometrics appointment was scheduled on 07/14/2023. Our biometrics appointment is on 08/02/2023. It seems like our service center is NBC.
  15. We submitted our applications online on 07/09/2023. We received a receipt notice on 07/09/2023. We're assuming that we will be assigned to the Philadelphia Field Office.
  16. Thanks for sharing this info. When and how did you receive a notification for your biometrics appointment?
  17. Our family filed N-400 online on 07/09/2023. Based on our zip it seems like the Philadelphia office will handle our application. We have an IOE case number. Does anyone else have experience with the online filing?
