I am not happy at all.. We applied for a tourist visa for her parents (from China) and were denied yesterday. Her parents told her that it was denied based off of the DS-160. All they did was just take a look at that (even though we had I-134, invite letter, bank/house deed statements, tax return for 2011 from us, pay stubs, and other things) and nothing else. They said I filled out "retired" for both people and should put "unemployed" (because they come from village and s...

thanks.. not quite yet.. she just got a white tag telling her to report in tomorrow for her "official decision" (all the "blue slip" people get that from Guangzhou).. then she is to report a 3rd day to pick up her "brown medical package".. so 3 days just to do 5 minutes work.. no wonder they are so busy.. =( we will hear tonight of the official decision

Hi Mike & Yan... she's about 1 hour from Guangzhou.. Taicheng town.. sort of a triangle shape , if you know where Zhongsan is.. but she said people who live in Guangdong Province will get theirs through the mail.. takes about 5 days.. the outside "foreigners" will get there in 2-3 days and they can go pick it up sooner.. that's on average..

haha, thank you =).. yeah, we have been through a lot more than others.. security checks, local office interview, almost a waiver (lucky had that reversed, otherwise more problems) , AP, and now just waiting.. I'm not even going to celebrate until she receives the visa now.. call-in letter means nothing.. =(

Thank you LvivLovers.. haha, I thought all the "old-timers" were gone.. glad you still wanted an update from me =0 well, it looks like the victory flag is just a few feet away.. but I still don't trust them yet until she gets the visa stamped.. they always have tricks up their sleeves.. I had to call DOS again just to confirm the "call-in letter" was sent..

it wasn't the FBI's fault.. I have to give them that.. they are different dept from USCIS.. they sent back a letter stating I had no security checks on my case.. that took about 3 months from my letter to the White House.. so that's not bad.. they get an "A" .. but USCIS on the other hand gets a "F"..

haha, it's in my profile at the bottom.. it took from November 2007 to February 2008 (when I had local office interview).. then they said I will receive approval within 2-3 weeks.. and nothing.. so I hired lawyers in May 2008, and did lawsuit in July 2008, approval was in end of September 2008.. so November 2007 to September 2008.. about 10 months.. =0 hopefully this time will be much faster..

How are you doing? I hope that you get the approval this time!! What happened with the RFE?

Hi maimiwife, how are you doing? I'm sorry to see that you are under AP for so long.. are you able to do a lawsuit like what I'm about to do? My lawyer said you can do a writ of mandamus after about 3 months time.. that is the normal time for them to finish.. otherwise they will take forever.. =(

Good luck on your interview!! I hope that you get approval and not blue slip like us.. =)

interview was not good.. received "blue slip" (additional processing).. they said everything was ok, but that they needed to do a "name check" on us.. I went to ACH, and they said the same thing.. It was "ready to issue" and there were no other problems (no suspicion on our relationship)
