Biometrics 11/27/17 but i went on 11/20/17.
It mostly depends on your field office. Check their current timelines.

That happened to me. It went from "case received", status didn't change even if i already had my biometrics letter and fingerprinting done, and directly to "in line for interview" about 1 week after. I'm thinking they don't bother letting you know that they received your prints, since it is quite obvious that they will receive it if you went to get them done.

So I made an inquiry regarding an online access code and this is what they replied. Hope it helps some of us.
“Applicants will only receive an Online Access Code (OAC) if the N-400 application was paper filed and is being processed in our USCIS online filing system. If you have not received an Account Acceptance Notice (AAN) with an Online Access Code (OAC), you will not be able to view and track your case from within your USCIS online account.“

I’ve been searching high and low, and I do have an elis account but that was for my IR-1 visa process and somehow I cannot add my n400 app number for updates from there. Maybe it’s for online applications only?

Went in for bio app today. Really quick and easy. Now for the waiting part will be hard especially with no updates online. 😞

So no word how some ppl can access their case online and others can’t? Even when I check
my status online it hasn’t been updated since they received my case :-(
Bio App is tomorrow I hope my status changes for my peace of mind after the bio app.

the account you signed up for it’s only show you updates.
the account the other person was talking about is cable to show you more info, it even let you upload documents if needed, plus when ever they mail you a notice you can see a pdf if it there
Yeah maybe you’re right but I never got that same info about making an account 😑 and will I?
i just check the status and it says received even thought I’ve already received a bio app it hasn’t been updated

I filed October 11 by mail but all I got was NOA we received your application etc. nothing about an online account. 😑
i made an online acc with my case number but it’s not been updated since they sent my NOA.

I have my NOA in front of me and there’s not instructions on there to create an online account? And I have already received my bio app but I did make a uscis.gov account and added my case but it still hasn’t updated to bio app already even though I’ve already received the notice by mail? And I don’t see a estimated completion time?

I received my bio app notice by mail and when i check my case status online it doesn’t show up yet? Is that normal?

Fprints: Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.

Update- I got my biometrics app notice in the mail today. 11/07/2017
i checked online earlier and it didn't show up, I don't think they update it fast enough.

I sent mine to the Chicago lockbox one 10/11 and my check wasn't cashed till 10/18. So I think you're okay.

This might be a silly question but the application number is the case number correct? And I try to check my case status online and it says case number invalid?
