Did my I-485 and got approved! My status online got switched to card was ordered. Such a long process but now worries are over. I got my travel document approved earlier in the year but was too scared to use it. I filed for adjustment back in December and got my interview yesterday so about 7 months. I showed up about 25-30 minutes early and got in to the interview within 5 minutes so the process was really quick. Also 7 months is not what the processing time said it would take and my status online did not get updated for them sending my interview letter - so getting the interview letter back in June was actually a complete shock. For those thinking about rescheduling the interview - I wouldn't at all cost - the process has been so long and the wait is forever - don't leave it up to someone else to reschedule - no one really takes your case as serious as you do. My wife had training with her new job and they were understanding and sent her powerpoints before hand and she was able to make it back in time to work despite having missed about two hours of training. Hang in there everyone.

anyone have a clue on what happens after EAD/AP? I got married Dec 7 and filed for AOS on Dec 19. I filed for AP in January and got the biometrics appointment done in February and my AP received in early March - I just got my EAD card last week - but there has been no update on the I-485 and since they changed the estimated wait times on the egov website - it's unclear. My service center is National Benefits Center which does not even show up as an option for the I-485 on the site. All I see is a bunch of local offices and like one or two other service centers. Anyone else have NBC as their center and does anyone know what happen from here? And does anyone have a timeline if they are further along in the process? Any information will be a glimpse of hope to this super long process.

What Embassy will the beneficiary interview at? Most embassies contact the beneficiary by email with the next steps and what they must do. Some provide the interview date without the beneficiary going to the CEAC page to schedule it.
We need more information to guide you in the right direction.
Scheduling also changes from embassy to embassy. They may not need to go to the CEAC page
I attached the pdf with what they said but it’s at the Bahamas Embassy. Also I looked up online for visa scheduling and fees and it asks for case number which we got but it also asks for an invoice ID which we haven’t received from NVC. Do we just contact the embassy directly for scheduling or it’s best to wait on email?

Hi, my case was approved by USCIS and sent to the NVC. it said it would take 2-4 weeks so about week 3 I contacted the NVC via their online portal and they replied - gave me a case number and said it was sent to the US Embassy for expeditious processing. How and who contacts you - does the NVC send you mail or does the US Embassy send you mail or maybe both? I'm kind of lost now on what happens next and when. I only know my case number and that it left the NVC from contacting the NVC - we are in week 4 now and haven't officially received a document or email otherwise stating instructions or dates on when things are happening? Can someone provide some clarity as to what happens and how (mail/email) and what I can do now?

my appointment was 8:45 in the morning and I arrived a bit earlier - I think all my appointments have been really early so I hope that is the same for you. Also the site says 9 months for me but one of the benefits of doing k1 versus k3 is that it is processed a bit faster so I would think yours would be done way before January 2019. Good luck!
