    Hi everybody,

I had interview on 6/18, everything went smoothly , passed tests , officer was really cool and it took only 10 minutes. But at the end officer told me that my file is misplaced so he can not approve me without that , but it would take just 24-48 hours to find it. It is been already a month so fare, I didn’t here the word. Online is still ‘your interview has been scheduled ‘ . Any experiences , advices??

    Thank you.

I am sorry to hear this happened, must be very frustrating.

I am also waiting for approval since my interview a little over a month ago. I was also interviewed by a junior officer and everything seemed to be going great. Hope we can get some response soon

Almost done with my journey :)

    Dec 2016: applied for ROC

    Sep 2017: applied for N-400

Nov 2017: scheduled for N-400 interview for Dec 2017

Dec 2017: showed up for interview, but was told by officer that they don’t conduct joint interviews for I-751/N-400 and that I would have to wait until I-751 was approved

    Jul 2018: I-751 approved

Mar 2019: sent a USCIS a service request for being outside of normal processing time for N-400

Apr 2019: scheduled for N-400 interview

May 2019: attended N-400 interview. Went well overall, no problem with history questions and English. I wasn’t prepared as I should have been and didn’t bring my old passport, tax returns, or more proof of marriage (oops!). Officer was not happy at all when she found out I had been turned away in December 2017 and said I should have been allowed to do a joint interview! She had to rerun the background check because it had been so long since I initially applied, but said I should be approved if it comes back clean.

June 2019: online status was stuck on “Your interview was scheduled” until yesterday, when it was changed to “Your oath ceremony has been scheduled”. It’s in just two weeks!

Very excited to be done with the process soon. Hope everyone had a smooth journey!

    Hi!! Congratulations on your approval!!

I was wondering, how long between your interview and change in case status to schedule interview? Thanks

Glad to hear that your interview went well, what questions did they ask you /? Also what evidence did you have to present ? I take it you are a 3 year applicant.

Also what does your status say online ?  Hopefully the officer or her supervisor approves it within the next few hours/days :)

    Questions I was asked:

    - What state did the Us purchase from france?

    - When do men register for selective service?

    - who is the father of our country?

    - if the president and vice president can’t serve, who becomes president?

    - who is the speaker of the house?

    - name of the governor?

I was asked for the following documents:

    - GC and drivers license

    - Passport

    - Marriage Certificate

    - Tax return from 2018

    - Since I moved several times in the past 3 years, We reviewed my leases and other info regarding that

My status hasn’t changed, it still says interview was scheduled.

    Thanks for the good wishes

  4. HI fellow filers!

I had my interview today at the 101 W IDA location. The officer was really nice, young lady.

I thought everything was going great, but at the end I received the "Cannot make a decision yet ... " response.

I was silly and didn't really ask any questions after. I have obsessed over this all day and went through every forum I was able to find, and I know that this could mean anything - from one day to approval to months. I am hoping I am on the first part of the spectrum.

Hope to hear your experiences on this.

Have a great day and best of luck to all of us.

    Hi All-

I'm a CSC filer (NOA was 7.26.17) and I've just got a letter telling me to come to my local office (Chicago) for an interview for i-751 on 9.25 (it was mailed on 9.6 but we had a mail-hold while on vacation) - the letter tells me to bring my husband and proof of the bona fide of our marriage.  Neither of my online accounts (my.uscis and egov.uscis) have the letter listed or status updated - one is showing my address change from April 2018 and one is showing the 'moved to local office' from back in Feb 18.  All very odd.

Anyway, rather than stressing out about it, I've decided to be happy that something is moving on my case!

In case it's relevant - I have also filed for my N-400 already, so I've added the extra pieces of evidence that I gathered for that (2017 tax return, mortgage), to the pack that I originally prepared and will take them along on 9.25.

Has anyone else been for interview?  If so, I'd love to hear how it went, what to expect etc.  I'm assuming that we should ask my MIL to watch our daughter, rather than bring a rambunctious 15-month old along?

    Thanks all in advance!

    Hi there,

I wish you all the best in your interview, please keep us updated on what happens. I am also a CSC filer and my local office is Chicago, so would love to know if this will come to all of us in the Chicago office.

    Thanks

Call USCIS and asked to be transferred to a Tier II officer. Let them know it has been over 30 days and you haven't received the letter and ask them to submit a request to send the letter.

I think that was the wording I used when I called. I've learned, you need to be very specific with what you're asking

    Hi,

Thanks so much for replying. I called them but they said that the processing time for a biometrics appointment is 6 months and therefore I should continue to wait. They submitted a request, but said it can take up to 30 days to receive an answer. I am so confused.
