  1. My mom was born in Macau 1947. She never get macau birth cert and then she moved to Hong Kong at age of 5. So, now I am trying to apply her to US. Anybody has experience with this? Where should I contact Macau to obtain a letter to explain why she doesn't have a BC?

    Thanks

  2. It was a bad month, so much happening in my house and I decided to file I130 for my parents living in canada at the same time. I sent I130 with their marriage license and my birth certificate. But I forgot my proof of citizenship. 3 hours after I mailed the package out, I had those OMG moment. I tried to stop the mail but doesn't look like USPS is doing its job after getting $11 from me. I am thinking stopping the checks and refile that after a month. I heard that if I get the RFE it will delay for another 5 months (?). Would I get into trouble by stopping the check?

  3. Hi,

I am currently a US citizen and my parents are Canadian citizen. I am thinking applying them here so easier to take care each other. I got some questions. They are thinking to stay 6-7 months in US and the rest in Canada.

    1) Can they claim two places as residency?

    2) Would that violate their green card process?

    3) If they e.g. stay 6 months out of a year, does that mean still 5 years before they can apply for citizenship or 10 years?

    thanks so much.

  4. No one really wants to touch this post since it tends to be a touchy subject. The methods most are familiar with are, K-1, K-3, CR-1, DFS. But AOS from another type of visa can get messy and complicated.

I read the URL. I have been staying in US since 2000 and just got married recently. I talked to one consulate office who said if I enter US using H1B, I don't necessary need I94. I think I will need to talk to a lawyer for this. The problem is from the immigration officer, sounded like this is a new law. And they did not put I-94 form on my passport twice. So confusing......

  5. Hi Everybody,

I am a canadian citizen who just married to USC. I am planning on

filing I130 and I485 (and all other forms.) I am currently on H1B.

However, last time when I exited US to go to Canada, the airline agent

surrendered my I 94. On the way back, the immigration officer said

Canadian citizen don't need I-94. Then I exited US again without I-94,

coming back with no problems. But now, I realize some forms require a

copy of I 94. What should I do? Should I exit the country again and

REQUEST a I-94 form on my passport? Or they can process my form without

    I-94? :(

    Thanks so much.
